I loved the location. It really is located in the heart of the city, Close to the bus terminal and old town which are within walking distance. Beaches are close by and can be reached by foot or local bus. I went to Golden beach by taking bus 21. The breakfast was outstanding. Great fruit options as well as many wonderful options to choose from. Something for everyone. I loved the comfortable beds and cleanliness of the place. There was a lot of space in the hotel to relax in. My room was quiet. The room was a bit small but this a minor detail. Elevators are a nice touch for the weary traveller. I loved the helpful staff. I liked that a free drink was offered even though I didn’t take advantage of the generous offer. I was too much on the go to get a drink. Overall, loved the brightly lit hotel at the entrance which created a welcoming ambience. I liked that I had a balcony so I could hang my wet clothes out. You can take a local bus to beaches or the ferry. You can take bus 13 to the ferry, you can buy bus tickets on the bus but they are less expensive if you buy them at the kiosk which is close by. The city buses are close by and easily reachable on foot. Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

very close to the old town so very convenient location. breakfast had a nice selection and family room was spacious. the staff was very nice too. if you’re visiting Chania old town a stay here is convenient.

if you decide to use the hotel’s parking it sounds inconvenient and pricey. we got very lucky with street parking (we parked and didn’t move our car until we left the area). the view from our room was a few ugly buildings, so really no view from the very big balcony. no gym either but that’s probably not why you are reserving at this hotel.

Absolutely beautiful & magnificent premises in the heart of the chania old town, with phenomenal & spotless gems within surroundings to explore, walking distance to the harbor, and much to do over there with beautiful vibes all day around whether during daytime or at night. Just simply beautiful all around, The attention all the staff gave us with their friendliness and courtesy was amazing at the breakfast restaurant which is particularly rich with lots of fresh and tasty varieties, in addition; the professional service and down to earth housekeeping made our stay comfortable and satisfied our needs in our spacious and extremely clean room. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families, thanks Kydon for going above and beyond to make our stay wonderful.

The only exception which made me to rate this experience an 8, was due to an individual act while checking out and leaving, from a rude staff member at the reception who was tension, arrogant, inpatient, seems has issues communicating with tourists overall. Although i had an injury on my right wrist which was covered with wrist medical support, he refused to assist the taxi driver in terms of our luggage, not only that, when i asked him about the bellman to assist us, he immediately replied back “there no one here to help, take you luggage by yourself” which was astonishing and very disappointing, ridiculous and ruin our good experience to sort of an extent. Definitely he is not fit to deal with customers nor tourists by all means!

location was perfect - just a few mins walk to old town and harbour. reception is open all hours. very efficient and friendly. has an old style which is something to treasure in these times. staff were very friendly. breakfast room is beautiful, food all freshly made, wonderful staff who clearly love working there went out of their way to make me welcome. 1st floor bar/ cafe area is great place to relax for coffee or drink or get some work done. accommodation was perfect and very quiet.

The shower and bathroom situation was a bit difficult. You could not shower without flooding the bathroom and this is not ideal.

Staff was very helpful. Breakfast buffet included many options, and was quick and efficient. The location was perfect -- easy to drive to but close to the historic center of Chania. We easily could walk to a variety of restaurants in five minutes. Hotel parking was tight, but it was good to have parking available this close to the historic center.

It's not typical from us to go back to the same city twice, let alone staying in the very same accomodation twice! This was our second time staying at Kydon, in two consecutive years, and we will come back! BEST FREDDO CAPPUCCINO and comfiest bed ever! I have to say though that our first time staying here was much more outstanding and this is thanks to the staff here. Rena and Kiki, special shout out to you again! They remembered us from last year, and these are the "little somethings" that makes somebody want to come back. Although everyone was nice this year too, we could feel that it wasn't the same this time. Last year everyone was super happy, smiling all the time, you could feel that they loved what they were doing, but this time we felt that the newbies were not as professional as the ones we recognised from last year. I feel like the people should receive more recognition! Because of last years' experience we will come back at least to say hi to the friends we made here. We came back to Crete because of Kydon and more specifically because of the staff, that worked here. Please have more people like we've met last year work here and give them the recognition they deserve, because it's really the key to success! ❤️

During our 3-day stay at Kydon Hotel, we found nothing to dislike. In fact, it was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at in Crete. The location is excellent, with convenient parking facilities. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout our stay. Speaking of the staff, a special thank you goes to Kiki. She consistently went above and beyond our expectations. Her fantastic French and her invaluable advice on the best beaches to visit in Chania made our trip even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from, and everything was always spotless. Overall, we had an amazing experience and highly recommend Kydon Hotel to anyone visiting Crete.

The hotel location is excellent, only 5-10 minutes walk from the harbour. The room was very nice, very comfortable bed, choice of pillows, free water put into the fridge each day, complimentary drink and snacks upon arrival. I was also given vouchers for a free drink at the bar and a free massage to be arranged at the location close by. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good, very nice room with tablecloths etc and good and pleasant service. I cannot fault anything.
