The small hotel was centrally located in the old town of Heraklion within easy walking distance of the Venetian port, dozens of restaurants, shopping and museums. All of the staff we encountered, including front desk, breakfast room, room service, and cleaners, were friendly and efficient, going out of their way to be helpful when we had questions. The hotel was very clean and nicely furnished with modern decor. There was a wide selection of hot and cold food items in the breakfast room (with excellent Greek pastries), and we were given complimentary pastries and drinks on arrival. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and large outdoor terrace with views over the city. We felt at home immediately and couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy our visit to Heraklion.

We had no major complaints but might mention a couple of minor points. Our room was beautifully decorated, but somewhat at the expense of function. For example, It would have been helpful to have night tables beside the bed on which to put water, phone, tissues, etc., rather than having to put things on the floor. The only elevator to our floor was extremely small but we managed luggage in two trips.

Excellent hotel in the city centre, within walking distance of the port, the shopping streets, the museum, the municipal art gallery, restaurants, bars and all worth seeing. New (or renovated) public areas and room, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming staff, very good breakfast Very clean lobby, restaurant, room and bathroom. Air-con quiet and working fine, power sockets either side of the double bed, clean linen and towels, quality toiletries. We especially appreciated the offer of very early breakfast before our 6 a.m. departure. Dom now is our go-to hotel for Herakleion. Highly recommended!

One thing that is needed is a light over the sink and bathroom mirror. The light in the bathroom is adequate but it falls behind one's head when standing in front of the mirror, leaving the face in the shadow.

The location is very central and close to the port. The bed was very comfortable. The decor was attractive and clean. There were plenty of sockets. The shower was excellent. The room had two balconies and it faced a blank wall so it was not overlooked and there was no light pollution.

Breakfast was adequate but as I can not eat gluten it was, therefore, limited for me. I did not like the fancy lighting and touch switches in the room. It was very awkward going into the shower room as the door left no room to enter. It had a very sharp lock that scratched my breast a few times until I worked out how to maneouvre the entry. I was cold at night.

Really central, just 2min walking distance from the city center. Really good and tasty breakfast. Room, not big, however really functional. Really nice and helpful staff at the reception (keep us a free space at the parking while we drop our luggage in our room, see negative points)

No parking available within the premises, and we had to park into a public guarded parking across the street (not announced in the hotel details as it was written « parking available). There is a discounted rate with the hotel, but no pre-booking available so depending when you arrive, if the parking is full, you have to find another spot which can be really complicated since you are in the hyper centre of the city. Our room view was facing a close building, but it is obvious considering the central location of the hotel. Low water pressure in the shower, and walk-in shower badly designed so floor is easily watered after a shower.

The location is excellent right in the center of Heraklion old town. Within walking distance to all attractions which means you don't have to drive but you can drink and walk safely:) At the reception they gave us a discount card for a paid underground parking located just opposite the hotel. The rooms were smaller than the pictures but well organized. We loved our balcony. We were lucky to have a room on the 4th floor because lower floor balconies are facing to the walls of the neighbouring buildings. The breakfast was superb. Also the staff were helpful. Overall good value for money. We would love to stay again at this hotel.

Only complaint about the housekeeping could be more careful about the dusty surfaces. Especially the glasses, coffee machine and side tables all had some dust at the time we checked in.

Great location - walking distance from the old town points of interest and from the harbour. 10-15 min drive to the airport. Our room was spacious and modern, and although it faced the front of the hotel, it was quiet. There are many restaurants walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Most staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking across the road in a covered garage for €8/day.

Although the bathroom was modern and attractive, the design of the shower/toilet door was not very efficient. The rain shower was great but we couldn’t use it otherwise the bathroom would flood. The bed/pillow combination was uncomfortable. The breakfast room had a covered outdoor space where guests could smoke and this wafted into the breakfast room itself, making it unpleasant for non-smoking guests. The front entrance had a ramp with a rail, but the rail was broken and loose, and my husband almost fell when using it. We notified reception and they made an attempt to fix it but the job needs to be completed properly.

Great location just a short walking distance to the centre of the old town and the harbour, and many restaurants and shops. The room was very quiet and we could just see the sea from the small balcony. Breakfast was very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking garage across the street for 8 euro/night was very convenient.

This was our second stay in this hotel after a side trip to Chania. The first time around we stayed in the bigger superior room, which I would recommend to everyone. This room was a standard room which was very small and felt cramped. The bed/pillow combination in both rooms was uncomfortable.

The staff was amazing! Everyone was gracious and helpful. George helped us with local dinner recommendations and reservations, as well as navigating the sites in the local pedestrian zone. Additionally, George and desk staff ensured we had breakfast with our early morning departure. The morning staff even had our car ordered ready for departure. A 24-hour Carpark is next to hotel with reasonable pricing and valet access. There is one daily fee with no limit to access. Hotel is next to pedestrian zone with access to famous sites, dining, and shopping. Rooms were spacious, very comfortable, modern, and well equipped. Traditional Greek breakfast served was great with a variety of options for dietary preferences. Recommend this hotel. It was a great find and made our stay enjoyable while touring Crete.

No complaints. Everything was great!

We only stayed one night at the Dom but found the experience to be very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great for exploring Heraklion and convenient to the ferry terminal for early morning departures. The room was quiet, very comfortable and clean, well laid out, space for suitcases, with a generous window. The overall room decor is a bit corporate. The bathroom as also clean and well laid out with nice shower, water pressure, and temperature. The breakfast area is nice with a lot of food options, which is very much appreciated - we were in a rush so did not get to sample or linger as we would have liked. I would definitely stay here again.

the elevator can be a little slow, but this is a very minor observation. We gave back our rental car which was a good move although there is a paid parking structure across the narrow lane.

This was the best hotel we stayed in during our 2 week trip to Greece and we should have stayed more than one night here. Totally unexpected. Fabulous breakfast, modern rooms and sophisticated decor, good location with a parking garage across the street (take care on the narrow road!). But the best part of our stay was meeting the staff who made us feel special -- especially George at the front desk and the woman who was working at the bar (I'm sorry we never got her name).

Everything was top notch and we have zero complaints. Whenever we make a return trip to Crete we will come back!
