Our stay at Porta Suites in Heraklion was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service that made us feel right at home. The rooms were spotlessly clean, modern, and very comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in, ensuring a great night’s rest after a day of exploring. Every detail in the room was well thought out, making our stay both relaxing and enjoyable. One of the standout aspects of this hotel was the incredible staff. They were always friendly, attentive, and eager to help with anything we needed, from restaurant recommendations to transportation tips. Their kindness and professionalism truly made a difference in our experience. Although the hotel doesn’t offer breakfast, there are plenty of great cafés nearby where you can enjoy a delicious meal in the morning.Or you can cook evrethink there. The location is also excellent—central and convenient, making it easy to explore Heraklion’s attractions, shops, and restaurants on foot. Overall, porta Suites is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Heraklion. It offers comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding service, all in a prime location. Clean, spacious apartment with everything needed for our stay, friendly staff. The kitchen was fully equipped, including a washing machine (!), beds were comfy, and overall, the apartment was great :) The private parking that was very useful considering the narrow streets and lack of parking options (and also the main reason for selecting this booking), a short walk away.

The location was OK, but there was almost nothing around us. Close to a supermarket but nothing to eat around us for lunch or dinner (10-13 minutes walk with 2 small kids is not always that simple..). In general, the area is nice for a couple, but for a family, it can be a bit challenging (we didn't use a stroller, but it would have been a challenge if we did).

Porta Suites was absolutely lovely. Brand new and beautifully presented. The apartment was immaculate and equipped with every appliance and kitchen ware that you could possibly need. The apartment was cleaned each day and fresh towels provided. The staff were very accommodating pleasant and eager to please. We asked for a late checkout and the ladies in reception were very understanding and allowed us to stay on . Location was fabulous inside the old town walls . A 10 minute walk into the main shopping cafe restaurant precinct and onto the port and castle area. Very safe and an easy walk. Would highly recommend this property and would have no hesitation in staying again if we come back to Crete in the future. Christine Australia

The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the quiet, serene environment ensured we woke up feeling refreshed each morning. The suite also featured a fully equipped kitchenette, which was perfect for preparing our own meals, and a private balcony with stunning views, making it an ideal spot to relax. The service at Porta Suites is outstanding. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to ensure our stay was perfect. They provided excellent recommendations for local dining and activities, and were always available to assist with any request, no matter how big or small. The location of Porta Suites is another highlight. Situated in a convenient yet peaceful area, it offers easy access to the city’s attractions while providing a tranquil retreat to return to at the end of the day. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to charming local cafes and shops, which added to the overall experience. One of the standout features of our stay was the attention to detail in everything—from the fresh, delicious breakfast delivered to our suite each morning, to the beautifully landscaped grounds that made every moment feel special.

Receptionist was lovely and very helpful. The suite is very spacious and the hot tub is so worth it. Hotel was very clean and good value for money. We ended up going to a Dom hotel as we booked this hotel previously to be closer to the city centre but came back to Porta suites after 1 night as the staff there were very rude and nothing worked in the hotel including the Wi-Fi lmao. Porta suites did not let us down as we made a last minute booking to come back. One of the best stays we’ve ever had and not too bad for location as it is a 10 min walk away from city centre. Would love to come back in the future!

There’s a hop on hop off bus less than 3 mins walk from hotel and makes transfer easy. Hypermart is around the corner, approxly 5mins walk. The hotel room is big with kitchen, living room and 2 balconies and most importantly comes with washing machine, drying rack, oven and dishwasher. Bathroom is huge with 2 basins. Property is well kept and very clean. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for anyone for stay at this apartment.

There’s a workout gym opposite the hotel with very loud music in evening. It goes on until around 11pm and you can still hear the noise despite closing the balcony door. The alley in front of the apartment is slightly dark.

This is a newly remodeled little building within short walking distance of the Cultural Conference Center of Heraklion, the Venetian walls, etc. The units are good-sized, well-appointed apartments with little balconies. We had king-size bed, sofa and TV, a full kitchen with dishwasher and clothes washer. China, glassware, cooking utensils, all provided. The decorating was very modern and tasteful (our unit was done in shades of gray and white). The place was spotless, and I learned that it had only opened as a hotel in March 2023. The office person was super helpful and nice, and the cleaning staff very cheerful. I think we were insanely lucky to have stumbled upon this wonderful place.

What indeed? They did leave us a welcome plate of cake...cookies, rusks, peanut butter. Possibly a microwave would have been useful (but the oven had an air fryer). There is not much to complain about here!

This is one of the best apartments we have ever stayed in. It’s a brand new, fully equipped place. All the electrical appliances are brand new. The bathroom is nice, very clean, and the space is efficiently used. You could easily stay here much longer. It is not expensive when you consider the quality of everything. I like these kinds of places. The city center is a 10-minute walk, the bus station and grocery is 2-3 minute walk.

The neighborhood has some very old buildings, but this is not bothersome at all.

The suite was clean, well appointed and quite spacious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The building was secure, well lit and clean.

The building is located on a street where there are motorcycle repair shops so can be quite noisy. I would suggest that you ask for a suite facing the back of the property.

Large clean studio room with outside patio space. Loved the hot tub and the spacious patio. Comfy beds and nice full kitchen, living area with huge TV. Friendly and warm reception staff who could book us taxis on short notice. Liked the little basket with rusks, peanut butter, jam and some local cake added in. All communication via whatsapp worked well.

Not much at all. We would have liked some basics in the kitchen (salt, olive oil) and some tea bags (there were coffee pods, we like a bit of tea as well) and some hair conditioner, body lotion along with the shampoo.
