Location, impressive building

There is a drain smell both on third floor general lift area and downstairs female toilet area, the heating in communal areas is not at a homely level coming in from a November’s day, the pull doors at entrance are often left open by patrons rather than the rotating door set up in most hotels of this calibre, the bar area should be a cozy retreat for a drink and reflection of the day, there is need to keep on your coat , and this was reflected by several around us. Pity because that bar could be buzzing.

Beautiful surroundings good location in the heart of the city, about 25m walk from danube and the bridge to Margaret island. Which is also close to the parliament building, both a must see.. Beautiful spa with pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi included with the right rooms. Can get busy and getting a bed to leave your belongings on a bit challenging. There are no lockers from what we saw, so you may have to just leave them on a bench but not a major issue.

Breakfast can be a bit manic, it may have been a bad morning, but staff were unable to clear tables quickly enough.so left searching for a table and having to angle around them waiting for a table to be cleaned. Selection, choice, and quality are really good. But dd feel a bit like a mad all inclusive service rather than a relaxed environment.

Dear Corinthia Hotel, Thank you so much for the wonderful 3 days I spent at your hotel! After many disappointing experiences, I finally found a beautiful hotel in Budapest where one can truly feel at home, with an extremely kind and attentive staff. I can only recommend it to everyone! This was the friendliest staff I have encountered during my stays in Budapest. Csilla, the breakfast manager, fulfilled all my requests and took my lactose intolerance into consideration. Lorenz prepared a fantastic omelette exactly to my wishes. Richard ensured my glass was never empty, and Lili diligently brought me the cutlery I needed. In the wellness area, I also met a kind and helpful team who made sure all the guests were as comfortable as possible. In the evening, Illak, the bar manager, treated me to his fantastic signature cocktails, which were not only incredibly delicious but could also hold their own on an international level. The hotel's wellness area is very impressive – I highly recommend it! The fitness room is not large, but it has everything you need for a quick workout. I will definitely return as a guest in the future! Liebes Corinthia Hotel!

I noticed a few stains on the carpet in my room. The breakfast selection is very good, but it could be further improved.

Good location, big space, nice decoration and clean. It has thermal water in the SPA. Massage treatment was worth the money! I wish I could have booked more than one treatment.

SPA access is not included in the booking. This is not too clear before booking. The SPA is open also not to the Hotel guests. The hotel is huge and there are only 15 beds in the SPA. It’s really busy. When we arrived, we were informed that there was no space for treatments until 4 days later. They told us that we should have booked in advance. Unfortunately we were not informed about this.

The hotel felt very luxurious and we really appreciated the festive decorations in the Lobby/around the hotel. Check-in & check-out was very smooth and the staff were lovely. Also very much enjoyed the spa!

Our room was great apart from the fact that the air conditioning/heating unit didn't seem to be able to be completely turned off. It might have been because it was an internal window room to help with ventilation but this meant there was a constant draft and flow of quite cold air which wasn't great overnight. Otherwise everything else was great.

We visited the hotel for our honeymoon. Amazing luxurious hotel, the room was very clean and tidy, the staff very kind and willing to help and very convenient location regarding public transportation. I totally recommend it.

Check in was not as expected, we requested upper floor Executive Room but we were given 2nd Floor Room. In effect the Room was no different to their lower price Deluxe Rooms. Our Room Had no views but windows opposite. Room clean and furnished, one of the chairs was torn covering. The Bathroom floor was not thoroughly wiped as lots of marks. Again the Toiletries were not premium quality. We drink Tea but no English Breakfast tea was included. Had to call reception to send some tea and milk. Breakfast was good and well managed by staff. Like to Mention Dora, Dominik and Egg Station Chef(Lorenzo) were brilliant. Executive Lounge: The Food was not as expected, not much choice and almost same every day. The Evening Drinks and cocktail hour was not well served. Food again was below standard compared to many other Hotel Lounges we used. However the staff there Tobbu and Zoltan were excellent and treated us very well. Royal Spa : Swimming pool was bit cold, Jacuzzi very good and the Sauna and Steam room similar to other hotels, nothing Royal!!! Check out: We requested if we could check out an hour later. Three mixed response: Evening before check out the Front office manager bluntly declined, the Guest Relations adviser mentioned she could not do anything but Reception might do it for 10 Euros per hour?. However, the morning of checkout, went to the Reception and requested if available, the manager gladly allowed us to stay 1 hour longer. We did mention that I am GHA Discovery member. We enjoyed our stay, it was to celebrate Birthdays and in hotels all over the world we stayed did a bit of special for the guests, like a little cake with Happy Birthday written and left in Rooms. We did mention during our Check in time and was advised that it was noted. It is such a Premium Grade Hotel and these shortcomings should be properly addressed.

Check in request not honoured. Rooms views not good. No special treat despite we were there for Birthdays. Food in Executive Lounge should be improved.

First off the hotel is beautiful inside. The lobby and grand staircase were a delight. The hotel is in a great location on the Pest side. Walking distance to lots of great restaurants nearby including the New York Cafe which wasn’t a long walk away. Service was great and rooms great size. Our room included the Royal Spa access which was great. Could get a little crowded at night time though. Overall service was great and would recommend staying here.

A couple of things in the room were starting to show some its age and didn’t work well. But, overall nothing to deter me from not staying here again.

Loved everything about this beautiful hotel. The location and the granduer of the hotel was amazing, we loved the extensive selection for breakfast including champagne , the service was 10/10 throughout, we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, when we got back to the hotel in the evening we were surprised to find in our room a bottle of champagne and a delicious cake with a congratulations card from the general manager of the hotel, what a lovely touch to our stay. Thank you ! The restaurant food, the service and entertainment was excellent we were served by Matyas who was very polite had excellent knowledge of the food and wine and of the city he also recommended a very good bottle of Hungarian wine which we ordered and enjoyed very much with our food that was cooked to perfection. Compliments to the Chef.

The fact that you have to pay separately to be able to use the swimming pool facilities, all paying guests of the hotel should be allowed to use the facility without extra entry fee.

we were upgraded at the checking. so this review is for a suite not a double room. the room was spacious, having a separate sitting room, 2 bathrooms, walk in wardrobe and bedroom. very nice decor and 2 tv's the room itself was really great we were very comfortable and the added space ment I was able to get up, while my husband had a much needed lay in. I would say, ununfortunately the bathrooms do let the entire room down tho. they are tired and outdated. the shower heads are so powerful it hurts your skin. the water temperature fluctuates on its own from scorching to cold. the mamaster bathroom had a hand held shower head but no real way to have it pointed down unless you held it. every woman with long and especially curly hair will know that getting your head wet every shower is a pain and unhealthy for your scalp. as the cubicle was small that ment hand held shower leaked everywhere makmaking a flood outside. the room cleaner did less than a bare minimum. our duvet must have had a hole somewhere as the feathers were everywhere. we left some water bags from crisps on the table and she didn't even clear that.
