Location, comfortable bed, clean room

The room is a bit small, we had no control of the temperature. There is no easy way to take a shower without flooding the bathroom floor. My wife thought the breakfast was really food, but I thought it was just OK. If you have a car you have to park on the street and it’s $2.50 per hour 9-9 daily.

The location can't be beat. In the heart of Rekyavik with a great resutaunt (Snaps) right on the 1st floor. Beds were really comfortable. Large bathrom and great size room.

I would only ask that there be chairs on the balcony. THe balcony also like all the balconies in town do not have awnings so you cannot use them (without an umbrella) if it is raining which it seems to do alot in Septmber. Also took a while to figure out the shower. I had to go in and show my wife how it works. (I won't be a spoiler and leave it to you to figure out)

Great location. The location of this hotel was perfect. Within a 5-7 minute walk of multiple bus stops where you can get picked up for excursions or airport transfers. Also a 10 minute walk from loads of restaurants and the downtown area. Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and in a safe location with 24/7 front desk. We felt safe staying here alone as 19 and 18 female travelers. Very fairly priced and front desk was very helpful with booking excursions, directions around town, and calling taxis. We also called the hotel a couple times before our stay and they answered promptly both times and had answers to our questions. Very good customer service and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was a little small but adequate for 2 people. It got a little hot in our room during our stay so we had to leave the window cracked and our TV didn’t work but we had iPads and computers to watch Netflix so not a big deal. There’s also not a lot of room to unpack and store clothes but we didn’t mind.

We stayed here for only a single night upon our arrival and were very pleased with our stay. Staff was polite and helpful, rooms were simple and clean, beds were comfortable, and price was good. We were a bit disoriented when we arrived by taxi late at night but realized after that it is accessible by the FlyBus, which is significantly cheaper than a taxi! It’s an east, short walk to Hallgrímskirkja church - which is also where the FlyBus drops and picks up at. We were concerned about the noise at night based on other reviews but it was a Friday night and not noisy at all. Will plan to stay here again the next time we visit!

The staff was super nice and our room was ready when we arrived. They followed the requests I made and we had complimentary sweets in the room and a hand written card for our anniversary! Thanks very much! The room was new and nice and we had a fantastic view. Bedsheets and towels are very soft and clean.

For a 4 star hotel I was expecting a bigger size room but I guess that's the standard in Iceland. My mattress was a bit soft and I had problems to sleep but I am very particular with mattress so that's just my problem. When taking a shower there was a light funny smell coming out the pipes but again I believe that's the normality in Iceland because of the sea.

The location was absolutely perfect. We were in a really beautiful part of Reykjavik with gorgeous coffee shops very close by as well as Hallgrímskirkja and bus stop 8 for the tours. I have previously stayed in the Apotek Hotel which was lovely, however quite noisy due to the local bars etc. Hotel Odinsve was a lot quieter which was perfect as we slept like a dream! Check in was at 3pm, however we arrived early and luckily our room was ready. I would highly recommend this hotel for its fab location and value for money.

It was a wonderful stay. The man at the desk was so helpful. There was some confusion at breakfast and the guy managing breakfast sprinted thinking I had left without paying, but it was just confusion and he handled it so appropriately. Hated he sprinted for no reason but he was very proper. The breakfast itself was wonderful. So glad I chose to eat there.

Nothing place is perfect and you can tell by this complaint. I wish they had plain black tea available. :)

The location was perfect and the staff were so friendly. The bed was very comfortable and I had a nice view from my window. I would definitely stay here again.

There were some features that were dated, like having an actual key for the door. But I found it pretty charming. The water in the shower did smell like sulfur, as another review mentioned. And breakfast was not included in the price. However I think that overall, based on the location and price, these things can easily be overlooked.

The best part of this hotel is the staff. They are incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful. I made several requests both before and after our stay, and they handled everything smoothly. Their responses were always quick and appropriate, which was a great help to us. We also loved the breakfast. While it didn’t have as many choices as a large hotel, the options were fresh, and they changed them little by little each day. The dining area was cozy as well.

Clean, great location, friendly staff, slightly early check in was available (showed up about an hour before normal check in). Easily walkable to many main attractions and taxis (when called) arrive in 1-2 minutes. Room was clean, especially bedding which is a must for me. I had a corner room with two sets of windows, which was quite nice. Room was also quiet.

Bed was actually weirdly soft/cheap. Linens were nice, as was comforter, but it was strange to have such a soft bed (like you could feel the springs). The room itself was very nice and a reasonable size but the bathroom was TINY. I couldn't reach the trash because it was wedged in a corner between the toilet and the sink and I couldn't step between the two. Shower right next to sink. That said the bathroom was clean. Finally, carpet in hallway smells a little funny/would recommend that they put in non-carpet alternative (but I understand that that might increase noise in hallway).
