Location was amazing and close to everything, staff helpful and the room size was great. Continental breakfast was also pretty decent.

Some of the cutlery in the room wasn't clean and also some of the things provided wasn't clean like the kitchen towel and the brush to wash the plates. Definitely need to make sure things like this are cleaned properly and the room is completely fresh before guests arrive. Also, a lot of noise from where our room was located. Could hear noise when sleeping which wasn't good. Noise from inside and also due to the club around the corner from outside.

October 2023

We were there for 1 night in late October 2023. The location was superb. Right in the center of downtown Reykjavik. Just a couple of minutes walk from the rainbow road and lots of dining options nearby. The hotel had a "baby cot" ready for us. It was like a pack n play and my 15 months old baby slept through the night in it. I had booked for a "studio" but we got upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment! It was a nice surprise and very nice to have baby sleep in one room and the parents in another room. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly need. Lots of power outlets for our electronic needs. The breakfast selection was decent (boiled eggs, fresh bread, croissants, pastries, cold cut meats & cheese, fruits, Icelandic herring, coffee juice milk tea). It seemed like a typical selection for hotels that offered breakfast. We stayed in 6 different places during our time in Iceland and 3 hotels that had free breakfast had pretty much the same selection. The other 3 were either Airbnb or just didn't have breakfast included. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and offered to give my baby warm milk without us asking. A comfortable stay. Free parking space by the "apartment" section of the hotel.

Parking had its own challenge. Either reserve with the hotel in advance, or pay to park on the side of the street, or try your luck for a space just by the apartment section of the hotel (a different building, behind the main building with reception). The hotel staff told us it's free to park if there's space by their apartment building. We arrived on Sunday and there was no space by the apartment building (only 3 spaces marked for the hotel by the apartment building). So we paid to park for a few hours on a nearby street. Normally it's free to park on Sunday but zone 1 (or P1, where the hotel is in) still requires payment until 9pm. The next morning around 6am, we lucked out and there was space by the apartment so we moved our rental car over and saved some parking money by doing that.

I absolutely loved it . It’s better than in the pictures and it’s very spacious! The single bed is very big so you can easily sleep there! The location is perfect , it is super central and quiet . The breakfast was nice and satisfying. It is a great option for this city and I would definitely go back to it the next time I’m in Reykjavik. The staff were very friendly and helpful and quite loose , haha . They don’t mind if you eat breakfast twice for example. You just pass by, you say hi and they say hi back like you are a friend not a frozen typical behaviour . It’s great . It succeeded my expectations and I think it’s very good value for money considering the extreme prices of the city and the restaurants

There were a few strange sounds in the middle of the night coming from the pipes and the radiator but overall nothing major .

Staff was very helpful. Big thanks to Arnar and others for helping me resolve some issues with my reservation. Centrally located. Comfortable and clean hotel. Second time staying there. Will absolutely stay again next trip to Reykjavik as well!

Nothing I can think of. Place was perfect for what I needed during my business trip. 9yrs ago when staying at hotel fron for Ieisure ,I had a super nice room with balcony and large bed, etc. This time I had a very basic but clean small room with 1 person bed. Probably would have went with the same option 9yrs ago but the prices have risen significantly since last visit. (That's everything in Iceland though, not only the hotel)

Great location and amazing view from the balcony! Everything you'd want to see/do in Reykjavik is within walking distance of this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and we even got a complimentary upgrade to a bigger room - we were extremely grateful for that. It is very easy to get in contact with the staff through phone or email. I had to reserve a parking spot, and they were prompt with their response.

Couldn't find any other trashcan in the apartment aside from the one in the bathroom. The walls are thin, and I could hear conversations in the next apartment over.

Location is brilliant and we were able to check-in 2 hours earlier than expected. Beds very comfortable. TV had UK channels which was a nice touch when back in your room after a busy day. Breakfast was continental and fine; served in the Scandinavian bar/restaurant next door to reception. Bathroom was small, but functional with a walk-in shower. We were in a separate block outside the back of reception, which was fine and there was a lift. Slept very well and didn't hear any noise. Room cleaned each day. Fridge was good for keeping snacks and drinks cool. Checkout was a reasonable 11 am and we were able to store luggage until time to head to the airport.

Nothing really... Although husband missed a cooked breakfast 😆 and the breakfast area is quiet small so had to queue for a table a couple of mornings, but didn't take long. Could do with some hooks in the bathroom...

This hotel is in the great location - right in the centre, short walk to everywhere. We got upgraded from a twin room to a two-bedroom apartment with a living room + fully equipped kitchen. It was great! The hotel is very nice, spotlessly clean and modern. Reception staff polite and helpful, both in person and via messages. Breakfast is included in the room rate and very good too. We were lucky to park in one of 3 free parking spots provided for hotel guests on a first come first serve basis

There was music coming from a club/bar nearby up until midnight. It didn't bother us, but might be a problem for a light sleeper. If not lucky to get a free spot, hotel parking is 1900 ISK (15 eur) per day.

We stayed in one of the apartments offered by Hotel Fron and they were wonderful. We were sad to only have stayed one night, and our last night in Iceland because it was the best accommodation we had for the whole trip. The location is very central, we even dined at the restaurant, the meal was wonderful and we even got to enjoy a 10% discount as guests of the hotel. Highly recommend this place.

Nothing to add here. We had a wonderful stay. We only struggled to find the main entrance, coming in through the very back of the hotel with a car, as the main street where the reception is located is pedestrian. Besides that, everything was fabulous even the breakfast was lovely.

The complimentary breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. My family had two rooms: the first had a balcony which overlooked the main street and provided for good ventilation; the second was a larger room with a jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. Beds in both rooms were very comfortable. The location was excellent for access to downtown Reykjavik and was close to shops and nightlife. All of the room amenities worked.

The second larger room had no view and poor ventilation from small awning windows at the top of large windows which could not be opened. The weather was quite warm so better ventilation would have been good, but I imagine the room is probably very comfortable on cool days like Reykjavik normally gets.

A superb location, right in the middle of the city centre - and bang on the main street through Reykjavik, although we were in the apartments at the back of the complex and thus didn't hear any noise (if there was any - we don't know!) from the pedestrianised high street. Very reasonably priced, for the standard of accommodation and couldn't be at a better location - right in the heart of all the bars, restaurants and shops. The attached restaurant does fantastic food - particularly the buffet breakfast, and dinners, for which you get a discount, and there is a 3 hour happy hour. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and went out their way to ensure we had a great stay, from start to finish. We would definitely return.

Nothing springs to mind . Everything was good.
