Beautiful pool, quiet location close to beach but also not far from restaurants. Very good breakfast. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

When making my reservation I was asked to send a copy of my credit card (both sides) or lose my reservation. We resolved the problem but this request represents a big security risk and is not acceptable. The rooms are quite old and need to be refurbished. However everything was very clean. The rooms on the pool side are very nice but garden view rooms are rather dingy.

rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. the pool is lovely and the pool staff and room staff , kitchen and restaurant staff are really excellent. very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. my room was left spotless every day. breakfast is about £5 a day but you have to pay more if you would like a proper coffee (not filter) . there is a good selection at breakfast. the head chef is always about and checking the guests are happy.

I think they could be a little more helpful in terms of being a bit more flexible when you ask questions. or if you suggest something , then they should act on it rather than just say no and leave you to sort it out. it’s the little things that if they put them right it would be faultless. if you get the manager then it’s fine but sometimes the front desk staff could go that extra mile to help instead of sticking to the ‘rules’.

This resort is aesthetically stunning and the grounds are immaculately maintained. Suite was spacious and for the most part very clean. I found all of the staff from reception, pool staff, housekeeping and dining all to be extremely helpful and genuine. The resort is located away from the busy and loud main street. It also has a path that provides easy access to the beach. Although not related to Sonesta Inns, the beach bar Floyd’s is right at the entrance to the beach is a great spot to rent a chair and have some beach beverages.

The only dislike I can state was that around the shower/tub area there seems to be black mould growing in the cracks and on the screen. It is off putting and does not marry with the quality of the rest of the room and the resort. I had one minor issue with a member of the housekeeping staff constantly asking me for a tip. I always tip at the end of my stay and I myself found always trying to avoid this particular staff member.

Loved our stay with Sonesta Inn. Our room was spacious and we loved having the seating area and balcony to use throughout the day! The bed was made daily and was so comfortable with lots of pillows and cushions! As we booked a non pool-view room, it was a nice surprise to be able to get a partial pool view. The bathroom was beautiful and we loved having all toiletries replenished daily. The bathroom is generously sized and the shower/ water pressure is excellent! The TV in our room had access to movies and live sports which was a great addition to the facilities available. The pool service was excellent and staff regularly check if we wanted refreshments or snacks. We were given pool towels to use and made to feel very welcome and relaxed around the hotel. There was some renovations ongoing during our stay but Sonesta Inn did well to keep this disruption to a minimum. The renovations are well underway and it looks like the upgrade will add to the beautiful experience at Sonesta Inn. Breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of both continental and Indian food. The food repertoire at Flavours was great, we enjoyed trying a bit of everything and welcomed suggestions from staff. We did order room service a few times and found the service to be excellent and again, staff were so kind. All hotel staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming. This was a fantastic place to just lay low and enjoy a peaceful week in a beautiful location. We were delighted to be given the opportunity for a complimentary late check out and were able to use our room until 4.30pm. For our final meal we were generously treated to a recommended 3 course meal.

This place is a hidden gem a tropical oasis set off the main road and 100m to the beautiful Candolim beach. The staff from cleaners, pool attendants, security and restaurant are wonderful who can’t do enough for you. The food is great, generous and highly quality. I can’t speak highly enough about The Sonesta Inn.

Nothing it was all great. We went in mid October so the tourist season hasn’t started so there are no beach beds or parasols so you have to make do with towels on the sand, but that’s not anything to do with the hotel.

Not much The shower was clean but 2+ years of Covid closure has taken the shine off a little, especially as it was already becoming just a little dated. Grout between the tiles could do with some attention. But it felt clean.

Absolutely everything, our bedroom was big, the bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing, the pool and pool beds were perfect,all the staff from the reception to the cleaners and pool staff were so nice and helpful you couldn't wish for a more relaxing hotel , off the busy street so you couldn't here the traffic but close enough that you can walk to all the amazing restaurants. Will definitely be back

Absolutely nothing

The Location of the property and the access to the beach are great. The rooms are real value for money or more so. The pool the garden all are excellent. They clean the rooms before the new guest arrives. The breakfast had many items , the milk, fruit were fresh and of very good quality.

I didnt like how the towels smelt of oil and there were no beach towels to use on the beach but were limited to the pool area. The breakfast had many items but at times the live items arrived cold on the table or the paratha / puri were not hot enough.

The location is amazing and in very close proximity to the beach. About 100 to 150 yards from the beach. Hotel cleanliness is very good. The staff is very helpful.

Minor hiccup during check-in process. Receptionist seemed annoyed that she needed to fill extra forms as we didn't have our PIO/OCI cards with us. Cook heads prevailed and issue resolved quickly. The room which we were initially given was not at all livable. They changed/upgraded our room upon request and charged us for it, with our approval. This was a much better room facing the pool. Hotel rooms need renovations as they look old. Cleanliness is maintained in all common areas and is very good.
