The stay at Somerset was wonderful. It was a great place to stay with the family. The staff were always so helpful at all times during the day and their service was amazing. Everyone at the front desk were exceptional and really made the stay so pleasant and comfortable. The facilities were also really good - everything looked just like the pictures. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay in Chennai.

The traffic did make travelling quite difficult due to the school which is next building. However, the drivers were really great, so just need to plan ahead and be prepared.

Excellent location - just few steps off the marina beach. The room was very clean and well designed. The kids enjoyed their evening in the pool. The host was very accommodating and their hospitality was much appreciated. The terrace was creatively designed fill with greeneries and it was very helpful in throwing a surprise party for my sister. The room has excellent view and witnessing the sunrise was pure bliss. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and we are looking forward to stay again.

I enjoyed the Breakfast, the Idillis & Pongal with the authentic Chutneys were on point, delicious. The fresh brewed Madras Coffee is like no other, hands down the best coffee in the World, I would have my cup to go, the staff were very attentive.

Somerset was relaxing, hospitable & very welcoming, I am giving them a 5 star review because I felt very much at home, from the front desk staff to the Cleaning Staff to the staff in the Restaurants they were very professional. Did they deliver, yes so instead of critiquing the establishment I would like to boost their performance so they will always know that hard work is appreciated!!

The location of the property is amazing. It is located at the walking distance from Marina Beach. I came from Delhi. Hence. staying so close to the beach was really rewarding and fulfilling. Additionally, the property is on a very calm street, thus finishing office work from there was easy.

There wasn't anything that I particularly disliked. The only thing I faced was that there were no good places for fine dining nearby. However, you can easily order online.

I stayed both in the suite and the big room with a terrace. both options were great and loved the kitchen in the room, superfast Internet, nice breakfast, and the rooftop swimming pool with rest areas. overall reasonable value for money.

I was not so happy when I moved from the suite to a superior room and my Internet speed dropped from 300 mbit to just 5. I had to complain three times throughout the day to get the speed to at least 50 mbit. otherwise a great stay. maybe the rooms could be a little better maintained but considering I came from the best hotel in town, it was still reasonably good.

The Housekeeping was done nicely. Kudos to Mr. Prakash from that team. He did an outstanding job all the time.

We were seeing some roaches in the room, that needs to be attended on priority to control them. Other wise the room was comfortable.

We had an excellent stay. The place was perfect, with excellent facilities for the whole family and very efficient and friendly staff. Highlights for us were, spacious and clean rooms, washer and dryer, kitchenette, no use of plastic bottles, kids outdoor play area, kids indoor play area, outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam and sauna. Breakfast was good too.

We booked an apartment and it was very spacious and had a fully working kitchen, comfortable beds, and a washing machine which was a bonus after travelling for a month. The breakfast was excellent and the pool area was really lovely and always very quiet. We especially liked the hot pool which was huge and warm, and the fact that the pool area was open until 10pm.

Great service, and lovely breakfast. The apartment was really clean which was nice. The location was wonderful as there's a grocery store right around the corner, and beach at a 10 mins walk. Many great restaurants are in the vicinity too.

The Hotel was clean and tidy. The room service was good. The beds provided were very comfortable. The gym amenities were satisfactory. The staff behavior was also co-operative. I liked the Madras sambar that was served for breakfast.
