This is usually where we stay before heading home. - it is beach front, it has a huge pool, large buffet breakfast, right near all the places to shop, loads of bars and restaurants all around. Easy to get to the airport from and if you have a late flight out of Bali, its a good base to do your last minute shopping, massages, whatever to fill in that time before your flight. Opposite a really great Tailor also.

It is the same now as it was when we stayed 25years ago - the same rooms, the same decor, the same everything - the wifi is slow if you are not near the lobby - can't even access it in the room - unless you hold your hand at an angle and prop your leg on the ceiling LOL probably time for an upgrade but you kinda pay for what you get. This is not the hotels fault - but one group of men who sat at the pool bar the entire day - and never got out once to go to the loo etc - which put us off going in the pool that day lol

Breakfast was a buffet ,from 6am -10am cold and hot choices There are three pools , one is set away from the other two and it is much quieter and has more umbrellas, with staff coming around throughout the day serving you drinks and food if you want . The other two pools are together and one has a swim up bar , however they play loud music from 11am and if you are after a relaxing poolside retreat then these two pools are not for you . they have a Resturant there as well with different themed nights. The Jakarta is a great location with the beach right on your door step , perfect for watching the sunsets.and the Jakakarta has beautiful gardens throughout the property

We have stayed at the Jakakarta five times now and it truly has that Balinese feel about it It just however needs a bit of repairs done , looking a bit in need of some TLC , hand railings , broken pavers, some chairs and some paint touchups would improve the resort

The pool area is great, breakfast is great, the night entertainment is good, gives you an option to stay in the resort if you need a break from the 'sales' folks but still want to do something. The location is brilliant, close to markets, shops, beach, anything you need/want you can easily get, staff were friendly & polite, everything was clean & with security at either side of the resort we felt safe. Loved watching the squirrels jumping about the trees and roofing. We were lucky to get a room upgrade & could see everything from our 360 degree windows in the penthouse, room to move with separate lounge & bedroom, fridge & kettle, microwave & some kitchen accessories, very clean & air con was amazing!

Room was dated, no getting around that, but everything else makes up for it and it was clean. We had a good laugh about the 24 tight, winding stairs to our room but the view & privacy was 100% worth it, and honestly it was probably good for us after all the amazing food we ate in Bali 😆 We will definitely stay again and would book this room if it was an option!

Great location, plenty of outdoor facilities in and around resort. Great food variety. Smart TV in some rooms. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great pool areas, easy access to the beach.

Facilities in rooms were not up to date - surrounding of AC was unappealing. Unclean bathroom (hair on the walls). Single beds were very small and uncomfortable to sleep on. Food poisoning as a result of eating Nasi Goreng at the resort restaurant - although staff were helpful re this.

All in all we feel we got what we paid for. Towels need upgrading , although we knew they were clean and laundered regularly they are greyish and some stained. We felt staff could have walked around pool areas to see if we needed any drinks or food. I had to go to dining area to order and usually found 4-6 staff hanging around waiting for customers to come to them it seemed. I don’t really have a problem with going ordering but usually nicer when you in wet bathers if you don’t have to go into the buildings Breakfast was basic and same almost every day so we ate breakfast out last few days just to get a change. Music at pool bar was too loud most of time and so much bass it was vibrating in my ears.

I specifically booked a few months in advance and booked a double room. When we checked in we had twin beds and we were told there were no rooms available with queen bed left. If I book and pay for a double/ queen room that’s what I do expect to get!

After having to change rooms, the room we stayed in was excellent with a good view over the pool and the sea a mere 100m away. The pools were well sized and a pleasure to spend time in as was the swim up pool bar. The hotel is also very central to lost of restaurants and shops

There is a timeshare resort associated with this hotel and we initially booked one of these units as they were bigger. Not a good choice. Our apartment was dark, dingy and musty with a very bad smell of mould permeating most of the apartment. there was paint peeling in places. These units need a major redo.

I recently had the most wonderful experience at Jayakarta Hotel in Legian. From the enchanting garden and welcoming reception to the diligent housekeeping and security, every aspect exudes warmth and kindness. The breakfast was not just delicious but a true highlight, and I believe they boast the most beautiful garden in all of Bali. The rooms were impeccably clean, but what truly stood out was the beauty and kindness of the staff. Their warmth and kindness made my stay exceptionally beautiful.

The location was perfect - easy walking distance to all the main Legian restaurants, beach and shopping! The gardens are beautifully maintained. A lovely quiet resort with the option to party at the swim-up bar and pool if you wanted to. We enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet - fresh food, served right next to the pool. Staff were happy, friendly and very helpful. We'd definitely stay here again. Great value for money.

The shower over bath in the Deluxe room was a bit awkward and the bathroom in particular is showing it's age and could really use an update but still felt clean. The pool water was too warm in the afternoon as it's in full sun all day so we didn't find it refreshing from the outside heat later in the day.
