First of all we were a late check in and a last minute booking - we needed to ask the host to let us in quite late and he was really accommodating gave us a warm welcome and explained where we could still get dinner in the town late in the evening. The room was fabulous with all amenities you could imagine, very clean, they had provided for every detail, iron, hair dryer, tea coffee, eye make up remover pads, shower caps, shampoo etc lots of hangers for clothes, TV. It was really quiet too. We had an excellent sleep, were greeted by lovely breakfast hosts who made us delicious breakfasts. We considered staying another night though not in our plans, however we had moved to another location so could not.

There was nothing we would change, only one tiny thing Google maps took us to the right location, but there was not a sign up so a little hard to find on that account.

Staff were amazing, Gerry provided a welcome afternoon tea on arrival and provided helpful local information which we appreciated. Breakfast had cooked options and was exceptional, served by the delightful Fiona. Linens were lovely and shower good. B&B was one of the best we.stayed in during this tip. We were able to leave car parked here and walked into the town sites and explored the Abbey, on return we were again provided with tea and treats before our departure, this service was above and beyond our expectations and was very much appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay Brenda and Gerry.

Nothing to dislike, our stay was exceptional.

This was my and husband’s 3rd stay at Rossdarrig, coming from Boston we appreciate great hospitality and Brenda McCormack is the epitome of Irish hospitality. She is warm, friendly, kind and exceptionally funny. Fantastic sense of humor and make’s wonderful scones. Fiona, who helps out, is also wickedly funny and charming. Brenda was busy, with a full house, but had time to spend with all her guests. Us with 3 adult kids (daughter/son/girlfriend) she charmed completely and the 3 comfy large rooms(hard to get the kids up in the morning) We will always return!

There is nothing about Rossdarrig house or the McCormacks to dislike. My family, especially my adult children, felt this was the most fun they had while touring Ireland. I wish we could have stayed there longer. Next time, WE WILL!!!

A very warm welcome from Brenda who helped me carry my luggage upstairs, brought me a cup of tea and a muffin in my room and even helped me find the contact details of some potential distant Connaughton relatives in the phone book. My room was tastefully decorated, very comfortable and had a lovely view over lush, green paddocks with cows grazing! I had a huge bathroom with a beautiful freestanding bath and everything was spotlessly clean. The electric blanket on the bed was a nice touch and much appreciated. Unfortunately I couldn't avail myself of the cooked breakfast due to an early conference call at 6.30 am but Brenda very kindly left out some juice, cereal and bread to toast. Thank you for a very enjoyable one night stay Brenda :)

Nothing.

We showed up after 7 in the evening which is a bit late.... It was a cold, wet day. Our hostess showed us to our room and turned on the electric blankets. I was thankful for them that evening. The previous lodger had messed the t.v. up so her son came up spent 10 minutes getting it all sorted. Large, well decorated room and bathroom, coffee facilities etc... We passed a very comfortable night. Breakfast was very good.

A beautiful house, furnished to a very high standard. The dining room particularly was lovely, with the tables laid out with beautiful crockery etc. The welcome we received on arrival was second to none and that level off service continued throughout our stay. The breakfasts were excellent and served by lovely and friendly staff. We just had the best time and would highly recommend this guesthouse.

Our bedroom windows could have done with shades as they faced the road.

The hostess was welcoming, friendly and warm. The house was beautiful…clean with incredibly comfortable beds with a nice smell of flowers. The Irish breakfast was traditional and served warm with fresh scones and brown bread.

There is absolutely nothing to NOT like about Rosdarrig House. The location is perfect with the house well situated near Lough Key and the main roads.

A good Irish BnB just how you want it. Generous sized rooms, soft linens, super comfortable vibe. Barry's tea, not the awful Bewley's, and a good quality biscuit.

Don't let the fact that there's no sign in front put you off. They don't need to advertise.

We had a lovely stay at Rosdarrig! The room was spotless with bottled water, tea/coffee making facilities and treats Brenda was the most welcoming host who we had great chats and laughs with - as was her right-hand woman Fiona. We would highly recommend!

The breakfast was excellent. Whatever you asked for could be supplied without problem. It was more the little things you weren't expecting. The tea and cakes on arrival. The fact that someone filled the kettle in our room when they cleaned it. Brenda's baking! And the cheerful, helpful staff at breakfast. If we're back in the area we'll check Rosdarrig for availability first!

In Gaelic, the phrase is chan eil dad a' lorg. Nothing is found. There is nothing to mention here.
