The hotel was very comfortable and there was a warm and relaxing atmosphere despite plenty going on. Being the Christmas/New Year period it was busy with lots of comings and goings. The best thing however was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to make us more welcome. They really seemed to work as a team, we watched the decorations being taken down - a big job - and all staff seemed to 'muck in' and support eachother with good humour. The breakfast was excellent. We had family, including a young child and a baby join us for dinner one evening and we all enjoyed the experience. We also ate in the bar which was welcoming, busy and had live music on the nights we were there.
The leisure club was disappointing. We did not know that we had to wear bathing caps and therefore had to buy them. We asked if my grandson and daughter could join us in the pool but this was not allowed. There are no day passes or paying sessions.. One has to be either be resident in the hotel or a member of the club. This caused some upset and it would have been good if both of these things had been made explicit inadvance. Our room had no view, but we expected that. Three nights, out of four, we were woken by noisy banging doors as other guests returned to their rooms late at night.

Pool was great, food in the bar was excellent and so was the staff. The shower was lovely I like being able to walk in to the shower. Breakfast was great good variety.
When I get a king size bed I expect a king size bed not 2 single beds attached. The duvet was too light for this time of the year and I was cold during the night. When I go for breakfast I like to choose my seat not get in to a row with staff. I don't see the problem sitting where I prepare. The locks in the pool dressing room were not working. A simpler lock would be more user friendly. The sofas in the lounge could do with a clean or change them full of food stains.

I hadn't expected to stay for 3 nights but the weather prohibited me from travelling home and prohibited me from leaving the hotel.I had the most restful 3 day stay .The staff especially Helen at reception could not have been more helpful, so friendly remembering my name in the morning to greet me. The breakfast was second to none with such an array of choice. The full Irish fry was cooked freshly for me on two mornings and the staff in the breakfast room were so smiley and friendly in the morning. Cleanliness, friendliness, comfort ,amenities all superb including the pool and the gym. There are a few different areas with couches and tables to work from within the hotel if you don't want to stay in your room all day.The bar has a wonderful choice for dinner .There is also a dining room .A great advantage with staying in The Sligo Park is that there is a big car park where I left my car free of charge for the 3 days.It was safe . My room was 247.It had the most beautiful bay window with window seat facing a garden and snow covered Ben Bulben mountain in the distance .It had a king koil mattress which was superb for my back.I had 3 wonderful nights sleep. The location of the room meant no traffic sounds just pure peace .I also enjoyed the chocolate box on my bed .Thank you to the cleaning staff Well done Sligo Park. I was almost disappointed when the snow melted that I had to return home . An excellent hotel.

Lovely large spacious room with all the facilities you could want provided. Very comfy beds and great bathroom. Nice view of the garden. Quiet. We used the swimming pool. Had a meal in the restaurant which was good. Good quality wine in restaurant and beer and great Guinness.
Coffee at breakfast wasn't that good, tasted a bit weak and got cold in the pot it was delivered in. Otherwise hot cooked breakfast, yoghurt and breads (including soda bread) and pastries were really fresh and delicious. Choice of fruit, cheese & cold meat as well. Lovely clean set table although I had to ask for a second knife both times. It was further outside Sligo than we thought so we didn't return to the town as planned as we didn't want to drive back again. The hotel must be very popular, some of the bedroom furniture getting a bit scuffed and knocked but the bed linen Comfort and cleanness very good.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, clean and spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Great breakfast each morning. Location was good only a few minutes from the town centre.
The room was very hot at times. The radiator in the room was hot every evening and every morning and made it quite uncomfortable. We slept with the windows open every night and we left them open during the day to try and keep the room cooler.

The staff were accommodating and friendly, but I'd like to make particular mention of Leah who attended the restaurant and bar. She was exceptional in both her service and approach in catering to the client side whilst upselling and suggestive selling items and services for the hotel. I was offered things in a way that dialed into my needs without being pushy and done with an immediate consideration for me that was instinctive and exactly what I needed per the given moment. From someone that has travelled 17 countries I have observed that type of service takes skill and is very rare. Sligo Park would be wise to develop Leah in a more leading role to ensure all staff are performing at this very high level.
The hot buffet breakfast was at times aged and unattractive. I observed several guests stating it was 'unattractive', preferring to order from the menu.

Hotel was exceptional as were the staff. However the booking process caused some problems. I was sure I had included breakfast with my booking. That was not the case. I would ask booking.com to make it clearer to permit the booking of breakfast not merely that this is available at the location, but to actually allow me to include it with my original booking more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From the moment we checked in we felt the homely atmosphere, and this is down to the friendliness and overall demeanor of the staff throughout the hotel. We used the leisure facilities twice during our stay and the guys there were so helpful and friendly. The staff in Jack B's and the breakfast staff, especially Louise, were great, it is very obvious that the Sligo Park Hotel is a nice and happy place to work, which is a huge compliment to the management, keep us the good work.
Just one very very small issue, the portion size of fish at dinner in Jack B's was small for the price.

Great parking. Not far from Lough gill which was a special place. Dinner in the main restaurant was excellent. The bar food was good too.
The superior rooms are in an addition which has a very long narrow corridor. It was a long hike to breakfast. And the rooms were being cleaned all along the corridor causing a one lane traffic jam situation. This hotel hosted several very large groups while we were there. Probably bcs it’s the only place with a parking lot big enough for buses. The facilities are expansive and inconvenient for us to navigate.

I wonderful venue for any occasion. We stayed for three nights and found everything easy and comfortable. The bar food was good & the staff were helpful. There was always plenty of parking.
The downside of such a large resort. The bus loads of tourists that came & went. We also found the many events they held there, occasionally lead to the inability to get into the bar or lounge area, and at those times it obviously became noisy. But this would not stop us from staying their again
