Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of food and a good variety. There was also an extremely pleasant young man greeting the diners the morning I ate breakfast. He seemd to take great pleasure in his job.

For all the years I’ve stayed there, I’ve never had a river view. I had to pay for parking. It’s a really small thing and maybe the car park doesn’t belong to the hotel, but…..having paid what I paid, comping the car apron can’t be that difficult. The television didn’t work….it didn’t matter…I wasn’t watching it. I told the staff on my check out and they were apologetic. However, it didn’t reply matter to me. The excellent WiFi more than made up for it.

The location sits overlooking the river and bridge. Close proximity to everything. €4 for 24 parking underneath hotel. Room was spacious, spotless, and well laid out. I opted for the balcony room that overlooks the river, which was perfect for a coffee in the morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I left something behind in my room and they were able to mail it to me the same day I checked out.

I was not able to connect to the WiFi, which is specific to each room. When you search for the WiFi allocated to this room, mine did not show up and you cannot connect to any other WiFi as the security code is also unique to each room, as displayed on the TV. I'm sure this could have been resolved but it didn't matter enough for me to bother staff.

Liked absolutely everything about this gem of a hotel, I thought it exceptional value for money, the room/bed was so comfy and clean, excellent choice of shower/shampoo etc if you needed it. Breakfast was full of good quality produce and such a variety of choice, we also had the Xmas turkey lunch with dessert, again what quality of produce, the staff were super helpful, friendly and always happy to see us. Highly recommend this to anyone staying in the Sligo area, we shall stay again . Thank you to all at the Glasshouse, you're a credit to yourselves.

Absoluet;y nothing to gripe about.

it was a great location and the hotel was really pleasant!! great location for exploring Sligo and surrounding areas

when we asked about booking an evening meal we were shown the bar and given a menu, when we asked to see the menu for the main restaurant the waiter repeated at least 5 or 6 times that it was fine dinning implying that we should not be going in there, we found this really offensive we are well traveled and have eaten in many top restaurants, he made us feel as though we would not be welcome for what ever reason he had clearly made his mind up he didn’t want us to eat in there!! well your loss as we would have spent money on a lovely meal, maybe some of the staff need lessons on thinking they can judge if someone can afford FINE DINNING!!! in this case he was absolutely wrong!!

Love the staff, very helpful and efficient from breakfast to dinner. They go above and beyond, and it shows in the high levels of service within the hotel. Nico is fantastic to have in the bar. He is naturally talented when helping people, and he is very good at his job.

I hope they add more veg to the meals in general. Even an option on the menu to substitute chips for more veg would be a lovely choice. I always feel like I get fewer vegetables in hotels than I usually have at home.

Great location, central access to Sligo on foot. Safe car park. Rooms are up to date and clean with USB charging ports. Dinner was excellent with impeccable service.

Breakfast is badly organised and staff won’t bring anything only tea/coffee to the table. You have to queue for continental breakfast, then queue again for hot breakfast and make sure to ask for toast because the staff won’t bring it down if you forget! Also, we got a reminder phone call from reception to leave the next day because we were 7 minutes late leaving our room for check out. Price was very high for bed and breakfast.

Location is smack bang in the middle of the town centre. Easy access to everything, shops bars and transport routes. There is secure onsite parking at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was lovely, everything you need to start your day.

There was only 1 tv available in the public bar if you wanted to watch any sport. It was not viewable from every angle if the bar was busy. Sligo itself was not like I remember. There were a lot of bars and shops no longer open and the atmosphere around the place felt flat, but we made the most of what was available and still had a great time.

Very friendly staff everywhere. Bed was exceptionally comfortable and rooms were a nice size. Breakfast was excellent and served very efficiently and in a friendly manner. Good price as well : we got 2 night b&b probably for less than we would pay in Dublin for one night with no breakfast.

Only complaint was that the toilet didn't flush through fully I.e. you had to keep the button pressed until everything was flushed through but this was not a big deal . Pity there was no fridge in the room.Otherwise all was good.

The Glasshouse is a lovely hotel situated right in the centre of Sligo, with restaurants, pubs and shops all within a couple of minutes walk. The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and with everything you need and the room we had a nice view over the river, The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is good and reasonably priced.

Our only gripe would be that we were charged for parking in the hotel car park, which is also available to the general public. It may have been only €4 for 24 hours but it was the first time I have ever had to pay for parking in a hotel car park. In other cases where a hotel car park is also available to the public, a token or code would be provided free to hotel guests.

The Glasshouse is in an excellent location in Sligo. It was an easy walk from the railway station with our luggage. The reception by the staff was excellent and the customer service through out was of a very good standard. Our room was clean, with plenty of space. We were able to achieve everything we had planned for our visit to the area.

We were very pleased with our choice of hotel. If anything I think the food quality could be improved for the dinners.
