everything was just perfect the location ideal the staff where amazing the food nice the spa delightful..

the background music was annoying god only knows how the staff put up with that everyday and every night piano music same tunes both day and night it would be enough to make you go to bed or go to a near by bar it really is annoying…..

The hotel is located in Claremorris, a town I know well. The staff are helpful and friendly and the reception area very welcoming. The rooms are large and well appointed and the breakfasts are very good. It makes a pleasant change to have breakfast served at the table. We had dinner there and it was also good. There were plenty of car parking spaces. Although it has a swimming pool and spa we did not have the time to use it.

This is only a small point and did not detract from an excellent stay. It would have been a nice touch if the room had a fridge. When it is warm in Ireland the rooms get a little stuffy without air conditioning. But, overall, this isn't an issue.

The full Irish breakfast was really full and the Eggs Benedict was special. Room was well equipped and extremely comfortable. Curry at dinner was really good. Reception and Bar Waiting Staff are really exceptional for advice on local walks, impromptu glasses repairs and general friendliness. The warm friendly bar waiting staff blew others out of the water. Andrew at the Leisure centre was welcoming and helpful. Great music and a little dance in the bar Saturday evening was a surprise bonus.

Couldn't book restaurant as we arrived after 5pm. But bar food, service and music compensated admirably. Must mention the wonderful waiting staff again. This is a great team.

Four-star hotel with very good environment. It's clean, has good breakfast. The room is big and the bed is super comfortable. It has a bar with live music. We'll definitely stay there again next time.

It doesn't have hot water for shower after midnight. It happened to us on the first night, it was very inconvenient. But the staff were very helpful and tried their best to solve the issue which I'm very grateful. The next night we were prepared and finished shower before midnight. The hot water indeed stopped again. I guess it's not a major issue as long as the guests are informed.

The Hotel itself is lovely and the rooms are very nice and clean. The leisure facilities are good.

We have stayed in the McWilliam on numerous occasions but this is the first time the mattress was uncomfortable. There was a female attendant in the leisure centre who wasn't the nicest, maybe we were asking for too much for a basic hello and smile, she didn't seem to want us there, asking her for towels was another problem, the closing time on the information folder in the room said the closing time on a Friday evening was 9pm, we arrived at 8pm and were told that the closing time was 8.30pm and we got out at 8.30pm but the regulars were still in the pool at 8.45pm!!!!!!

Breakfast was very good standard served quickly as we were going out to funeral in bally haunis on a cold wet day d.room ladies were delightfull could not be friendlier.you are lucky to have them in this day age .we did not make dinner but had a sumptuous meal in bar are on sun after arrival before we went to funeral 6 pm. Was a big meal mon.evfollowing funeral buriel .

My room cold got it sorted eventually I was out most of time to a family funeral went hospital visiting yesterday in galway was very busy .did not get time to utilise hotel facilities

Excellent Staff, great breakfast, clean rooms.

While the outside temperatures were mild, our rooms were warm and stuffy. You could only open your window an inch or two and the hotel fans were not very powerful. The fan cord was also not long enough to place the fan in the window. More powerful fans with longer cords would help.

Everything was fantastic, very clean , food was fab. My son maintains they were the nicest pancakes he ever tasted and his only remark was there needed to be more on the plate. Loved the pool, it was very safe and I felt comfortable going into the sauna {mine are 11 and 12 and good swimmers] . I loved the fact they had 'age parking' out the front as I had my parents with me. Staff were very helpful and lovely to deal with.

Couldn't fault it at all, only mistake I made was I forgot to add breakfast when booking with booking.com so had to pay on the morning but it was extremely reasonable for 5 of us.

It was bit overpriced for one night stay there was a 5 euro supplement at breakfast if we wanted an omellette or poached eggs never saw this before bit much as we had already paid for breakfast in room price ,also it wud have been nice to have air conditioning in room

Unfortunately for us we had a bad experience. At 4am we were woken up by a couple arguing on the corridor outside our room. We contacted reception and it continued to 6am. We contacted reception 3 times. It was frightening as we could hear a child crying glass breaking . Gardaí were contacted and came.
