The bar staff Andrea & Kathleen were courteous, friendly & personable. Night time security ran up the stairs while I took the lift to ensure my safety to my room. Absolutely above & beyond expectations.

my first time there, I stayed in room 116 - the best was absolutely to die for! fantastic room with a really great shower, spacious, clean and with an incredible view. It was so peaceful there and the staff are all really lovely, the bar is great, and has a pool table

the breakfast was just okay, i was really looking forward to it being delicious but it was only just okay. the breakfast room and view is stunning - coffee was really bad, would have love a proper coffee from a good quality coffee machine i loved walking around the property and seeing all the sheep if i was to add to the hotel for my own personal stay I would absolutely love somewhere to swim, a lake or river, man made swim area and an outdoor sauna i love wellness retreats and it has the making of a spectacular wellness hotel

Beautiful spot, great room, not too far from town. Little box of chocolates was nice touch.overall a nice stay

Would have preferred walk in shower to tub. Limited breakfast buffet although made to order choices were very good. Disappointed that they charged us for two bottles of waters where as all other hotels stayed at were complimentary. I like to get up early and walk but was unable to do so because they lock the front door to lobby and did not want hassle of having to contact night porter or get locked out.

The large bed was lovely, nice and supportive and firm. Had a great nights sleep. Food (dinner and breakfast) was lovely and good choice. Lovely views across to the countryside. For the price was exceptional value

On the first day was a wedding reception so the hotel was busy but we had dinner in the quieter lounge area. Water from the above-bath shower managed to get on the floor which we mopped up, perhaps needs a redesign of the shower screen although might have just been us !

The receptionist on arrival was lovely, very helpful. Took the time to speak to us and was very knowledgeable about the local area. Our room was a superior mountain facing so i have to admit i spent alot of time looking at the views of Croagh Patrick. The views were breathtaking. Gorgeous room with great facilities, water and chocolates on arrival. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows if needed. Hotel a bit out of Westport itself so a car is definitely needed.

My only criticism is that breakfast was not consistent. Full Irish breakfast had soft fried eggs first day, almost hard boiled the following two days. Boiled onions in fry on the first morning and when i asked for no onions the following days, i was dismissed and told no onions in the fry but there clearly had been. Also varying amounts of eggs, sausage and bacon,1st day 2 of each which was more than enough, last day 3 bacon, 3 Sausage and 1 egg. The tables were way to big for two people unless sitting side by side. Ate in the bar one evening of our staff, food was good value but chips were so salty. Very small criticisms, All in all a fantastic hotel, would definitely stay again.

The hotel was a beautiful place in the country. Apparently on a golf course, so if you are wanting to play golf, this is your place. The room was spacious, clean bright and great layout. We always enjoy the kettle and coffee/tea area in the rooms. The breakfast was great and the staff helpful. We also ate dinner and enjoyed the food and menu. I thought the Westport was closer to town, but for us it was fine to a little further out. I had the best sleep, the bed and coverings were so comfortable.

The Country Lodge is a gorgeous setting, very relaxed and romantic. Lovely friendly and helpful staff...beautiful freshly cooked breakfast, piping hot! Loved it!

We absolutely loved it, would have been great to stay another night or more.. but it was just too expensive. Unfortunately we had to get a B&B for out next night. A think if the lodge offered deals it would enhance longer stays and benefit everyone...just a suggestion. We definitely would love to stay there again.

Comfortable hotel in the countryside close to Westport. Good breakfast available from 8am to 11am. Good choice of options on the breakfast menu. Nice and very helpful staff. Room 110 very spacious with nice views.

One room was not ready when we arrived. Check in is from 3pm. We arrived at 3:15pm. Lady at reception changed one room so that we had a place to go and shower after climbing Croagh Patrick, which was very helpful.

The room was very spacious and clean. View from the window was beautiful. The ensuite too was very spacious, it had a bath and a very large shower. Loads of comfy soft towels which were badly needed after a tough days hiking.

Very little to not like but the room had no bottled water which would have made the room perfect. Breakfast was good but would have liked some muesli as an option. Evening meal was delicious but service was slow.

While the range of breakfast food is not laid out very excitedly, the freshly cooked breakfast is really very good and there is a good range of choices. Staff are pleasant and helpful. The place is in a peaceful setting with lovely views. We have stayed here several times and love the peace and quiet.

The rooms are lovely and warm. Bathroom is nice and a good shower, but the only down side is there is no heat in the bathrooms.
