We had dinner on arrival and the food was excellent. The goats cheese pastry was delicious as was my husband's seafood risotto. The cooked breakfast was fresh snd tasty and I particularly liked the overnight oats. The room was clean and spacious and the shower was piping hot. At all times staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area with several woodland and river walks on the doorstep. The old abbey is very interesting to wander around especially when lit up at night. Maysonbrook was a lovely giftshop to visit. We were sorry we could not stay in Cong longer and would definitely return to Lydons again .

While the breakfast was delicious, if i was staying more than one night, I probably would have liked to have more of a selection of continental breakfast, eg pastries , yogurts, cheeses etc . There was a bit of noise from the bar and street but it was Saturday night and earplugs were provided so it wasn't really an issue for us. Parking was a problem for us on arrival because we were in a minibus. We were prepared to walk from the big public carpark at the entrance to the village but could not park there due to the height restriction barrier. A huge thank you to the nearby Spar for allowing us to use their carpark overnight. Overall though, we had a very pleasant and posiyive experience.

The location is excellent in the beautiful village of Cong. It was off season so the bar and restaurant were not open, but I knew that before we left. I was not expecting the breakfast to be as good as it was (because the restaurant was closed) but the breakfast was excellent. My spouse had the full Irish on both mornings and was delighted with same. The staff were very friendly and our room was comfortable and clean. I would recommend Lydons Lodge Hotel to stay in if you are visiting Cong.

Welcoming atmosphere, hotel , location , people we met in Cong & history of this beautiful place in Mayo. Hair dressers few steps away .parking safely few steps away . Loved sitting outside Lydon Lodge in the sun , Staff member did photographer before we left the Hotel.

Beautiful location in Cong village and staff extremely helpful and welcoming ..food and facilities were very good, some running water issues with entire village but staff dealt with to their best abilities ( although went on a little late in our night for hotel maintenance ‘noise’).

Parking limitations, in comparison to other hotels in Cong village ..but hotel and facilities made up for this.

This Hotel fits the Bill!! only a 3⭐⭐⭐. The food was a definite 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. we only booked 1 night b/b stay, next time it will be for longer.

For parking it's on street, but if your smart & not in rush sit by front window, buy yourself a cuppa or drink & B4 your done a spot will appear. but you have to be Quick place your Bag or otherhalf in parking space & your sorted. couldn't be easier.😉 Stayed in room 25 on Saturday/Sunday September 20th.❤️❤️❤️

Location was excellent, our room was lovely and lovely view. Staff were friendly. We had dinner there twice during our stay and it was really good 👍 Drinks and food very reasonable. Would definitely stay again. Great value for money

The weather, but that's not the hotels fault 🤣

Amazing cosy place to stay over a night or two in the center of Cong. Lovely atmosphere, tasty food, attentive and friendly staff. Great for families with kids, their family rooms are spacious, well thought over and comfortable. Definitely we’ll come back as we fell in love with this lovely town, and we’ll stay in the same hotel. Truly recommend!

The bathroom sink was a little blocked and we had to be careful using the water. The toilets could have been cleaner, but this is really nothing compared to the charm of the place.

Everything was just fabulous. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Olga for kindly changing our room type. The food is second to none and so beautifully presented, even breakfast! Our room was beautiful and spotless and the blackout blind is a huge bonus. Look no further for a memorable stay in the beautiful village of Cong.

Nothing we didnt like. This place ticks every box!

Location. Exception evening dinner. Chicken delicious. Staff all friendly. Easy parking. Just a gorgeous village atmosphere.

Monday nights no music about. Toilet needed some repairs. And hair dryer was replaced after one in room Did not work. But these thing come out of the blue and staff were very helpful.

Friendliness of staff, Steven, and his wife were very friendly and helpful hosts. Kirsten, John, Annette, and Chlodha were very pleasant. The breakfast staff were very understanding and helped me bring breakfast to my wife in the room as she was in recovery from a broken ankle. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Locals were very friendly and great craic.

Absolutely nothing. Everyone working was very helpful.
