Excellent breakfast. Huge portions - exactly what I like! The room was very clean and the atmosphere was very welcoming. If you like vintage vibes that’s the place to be. Easy connection to Dublin City centre ( the bus stop is literally in front of the hotel). It’s possible to reach the hotel from the airport through public transportation. Due to the late arrival, me and my partner decided to get a cab from the airport which was around 20 min. Staff super friendly and great focus on customer service and cleanliness. I would highly recommend West Country Hotel.

The West County Hotel is ideally placed for visiting Dublin. There is easy access to and from the city by the number 26 bus that goes to Merrion Square with regular stops along the way. Return journey takes you just around the corner from the hotel as it goes on to the Liffey Valley. I would recommend you purchase a Leap Bus Ticket as its easier than looking for the correct money as the buses don't give change. We had a 3 day one and made good use of the buses around Dublin. The rooms are ample size for a couple with a very comfy bed to stretch out in. Shower good and strong with plenty of hot water. There are tea making facilities provided in the room and also a TV on the wall. Plenty of hanging space and drawers for clothes. We were on the top floor but easy access via the lift. Good views of surrounding countryside. Breakfast was a choice of continental or full Irish breakfast. Plenty to eat and other options available. Yogurts fruit juices etc. The restaurant offers a good selection of meals and bar food from 3pm till 8.45pm. A good stay and would most definately come back.

My one concern was the fact that there no security safe in the room for our money, passports and valuables so I had to carry them with me around Dublin which was not ideal. Some visitor brochures would also be good to help explore the city..

Very warmly greeted on arrival, and being a little early for check in, they were absolutely happy to allow us to store our luggage while we did some sightseeing. The room provided was large and contained a large comfortable bed as well as an additional single bed. Also had a writing desk, which was superb to work from, table, comfortable chairs and a wardrobe with plenty of space for storage. Room also overlooked a wonderful bank of trees, giving a scenic outlook Bathroom contained a great shower. Wonderful guest compendium was also provided to ensure all pertinent information was provided for. The on-site restaurant provided excellent food for reasonable prices. Excellent free Wi-fi was also available.

Nothing.

The location was great for a visit to Dublin, away from the noise of the city but with an excellent bus service into the city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing good information without being asked. The restaurant/bar was great with good food and service. We had bicycles and they found a good safe place for them. The room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is a bit dated and could do with a makeover. The breakfast system is a bit chaotic, especially if you don’t want the full works.

A lot of personn are working there, and it makes the stay pleasant and worth for the price we paid. Very clean and tidy. Irish breakfast is great :D Great bathroom in good condition.

The hotel facade is not really actual and the overall decoration is quite outdated. We could ear our neighboor caughing a lot so soundproofing isn't great. If climat is getting warmer and warmer, there is absolutely nothing to keep rooms cool right now. We found our room quite warm and it was a day at 25°C

It was quite convenient to the airport. The staff at the check-in desk was very efficient and very polite. Most staff in the restaurant was also great (one of our servers seemed not so). The food in the restaurant was very good and glad we went there/ didn't have to find an off-site place to eat.

The hotel was OK and clean but very dated and worn in the rooms. Did not match to the price paid. But it was our last night and did the trick, it was quiet, the restaurant was good, staff were friendly so at least happy about the stay itself.

There is a huge free parking at the entrance. Beds were comfortable and the room was big enough for 2 people. You have also restaurant and breakfast options. There is a bus just in front of the hotel that leave you in the city centre after 30 minutes. Late check-out.

The hotel is old and very noisy, we woke up very early everyday with random noises: butane bottles movement, cleaning stuff, doors slamming ... also restaurant options are over priced compared with the city ones. You can't bring food from outside.

Breakfast was lovely. Really liked that the food was cooked as ordered, rather than buffet. Service excellent. Room was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Receptionist at check in was delightful. She was so friendly and helpful and would encourage anyone to stay at this hotel. Thank you .

A better variety of fruit at breakfast would be nice. There was fresh fruit but just grapefruit to add to cereal . Location was a bit far out of the city but wasn't really a problem as we had a car. Access to the city was quite difficult on Marathon day. Obviously the hotel can't do anything about that but it's just something to be aware of.

This is a straightforward hotel on the outskirts of Dublin. It's more than a 'budget' hotel, but certainly not luxury. For us that was OK though - it was as expected and is better value for money than many places in Dublin. The room & bathroom were clean and big enough, and breakfast was fine. The staff were polite and helpful when needed. The location requires a 20 min drive into the centre of Dublin and/or a bus ride. The bus stop is immediately outside the hotel, so this worked well for us.

There are several notices around the entrance and reception saying something like 'the management accepts no responsibility for [anything bad that may happen to you or your property]'. This is off putting and seems to imply a problem with security. We saw no problems though.
