The hotel was beautiful and very clean with great facilities. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. Chocolates and card left for birthday. Staff at the leisure/gym were very friendly.

When checking in first girl on reception didn't acknowledge that I was waiting to check in and continued to type on the computer. The 2nd receptionist who checked us in didn't give any information about the hotel ie. Checking out times, breakfast times where to go for breakfast and leisure times for the pool or gym. Disappointing that there was no information book in the bedroom either just a page under the glass dresser with very little information also. Finally found the information on the back of the check in card. Better communication is definitely needed.

Terrace bar. Service not great unfortunately Shown to table with menus and then had to go to bar to ask where we order from as I could not get the attention of any of the 7 staff behind the bar. Eventually a staff member came down to take our order. Some items on the menu not available they had run out. I ordered chicken korma... Not korma.. I asked could I have extra plain sauce and I was told that's premade and could not be changed to plain. Burger and chips were very nice.

Excellent place to stay, felt like you were staying in a castle. Had a wonderful dinner in the dinning room and the breakfast was exceptional. Great place!! Had a beautiful corner room!!!!

The service was great and the food was lovely. The breakfast was also really tasty. The area was really secluded and nice.

There were some really rowdy guests that completely ruined the first night. They were shouting and drunk for around 3 hours until 5 am. Woke up the entire floor, and we needed to go out and tell them to be quiet. It was a shame because it ruined a really good first night there. Also the safe wasn't working across the 2 rooms that we stayed which was a let down, but not a deal breaker. And the rooms don't include a mini fridge.

Had a lovely quiet room and selection at breakfast excellent Staff friendly and helpful.

Couldn't check in until 3 and had a wedding in the area so ended with very late check in

Very nice comfortable hotel, plenty of seating areas for residents. We ate in the bar each evening where the food was good, although the menu was rather limited and the lack of staff meant we had to wait to be served sometimes.

The cold tap in the bath was so stiff it could not be used. The maintenance man sent to the room could not repair it. I hope it was repaired while the room was empty after we left. (We did also have a separate shower.)

The room was a very good size. Bed very comfortable. The room that we were in was not air conditioned which wouldn't normally matter too much given the climate in Ireland although we stayed on what was an unusually warm few days in early September - just info for other travellers; it wasn't a problem for us although quite warm overnight. The supplied fan was ok. Very good buffet style breakfast (hot and cold dishes).

Fantastic location. Warm welcome. Comfy room relaxing and spotless, with garden view. Bottled water and Biscuit treats nice touch. Food is delicious and freshly cooked. I reccomend the Apple Crumble, scrumptious warm Crunchy Apple Crumble topped with Ice cream and warm Custard. Served with a smile. Worth travelling 3.5 hours to this exceptional Country Hotel. Parking on site. Leisure Centre and beautiful mature grounds. 10/10

Hotel grounds and hotel atmosphere were excellent , food was good and the majority of staff were pleasant and well trained. Nice walks within the hotel grounds especially the Dolman walk through the golf course.

Head barman was abrupt and did not smile but was over worked and could do with more staff behind the bar . Food prices were expensive but the quality was good. Hotel room bathroom size was small and TV volume was locked while the TV was small and of poor quality, along with the WiFi strength. The hotel pool and facilities are excellent but are used by members also so time your visit, pool was thronged with families mid-day saturday.

Fabulous Christmas decorations, lovely staff, very accommodating. The girl at the front desk was very helpful when I needed a first aid kit for my son. Lovely clean pool. Massive family room with lots of biscuit options! Had a great time!

The price of food in the restaurant and bar was awful, very overpriced. 4 euro for a side of veg. 3 euro for a flat coke that was only half full. The food was good but not THAT good to be costing so much. The breakfast was lovely and I was thankful it was included. Also the pillows were quite uncomfortable. They need feather pillows!
