We stayed in the annex on the right. The property was spotless and provided all the amenities we needed. We found that fresh milk had been left for us, along with a packet of chocolate biscuits, which were a lovely touch. We hired a car and were able to park in very close proximity to the property. The owner (Rowan) was very kind and emailed us over the course of the week to ensure that our stay was as smooth as possible. Overall a really lovely place to stay.

Nothing whatsoever

Wonderful spacious accommodation with fantastic outdoor facilities. The huge patio area for each bungalow, was covered and had excellent table and chairs for dining, a gas fired barbeque and a hot tub. Weekend users pay extra for hottub use, but ours was included in our weekly fee. The cottage, both inside and out, was great for entertaining and our visiting families loved it. We have booked to go again!

Some interior features need upgrading, eg beds, sofas, oven and washing machine. However, these were more than adequate for our use.

Everything truly exceeded expectations. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen equipment with everything we needed. The view was spectacular and the outside area with hot tub was outstanding - perfect for our relaxing break. The extra feature of having a TV outside was a great bonus. The host was easy to communicate with if we needed anything. We had a fantastic few days here and will definitely return.

We were only given 4 towels, and as a family of 6 we needed more. Luckily I read other reviews and did bring extra with us.

Everything, as always. We will always be looking forward to spending some time at Clonlum Cottage. The house is so cosy, welcoming, surrounded by a fab woody area. Rooms are the perfect size and so clean. You’re close to Belfast, Dublin and Newry, Warrenpoint, so it’s the perfect starting point for a holiday in NI. There’s also a lovely outdoor area with hot tub, table, chairs and it’s so nice l to have the chance to chill out there while reading a book, having a chat, eating a good dinner or even watching the stars at night. Rowan is much more than a dear and attentive host. He’s a gentleman and he goes above and beyond to make your stay truly special and unforgettable. You can understand his for those details which make the difference. We love Clonlum Cottage, it’s our special and beloved l place now in a beautiful Northern Ireland

One of the best cottages in the world. So clean, so incredibly equipped (e.g., we love the fact that there is even a tumble dryer). The kitchen is big, with cosy bedrooms and even a hot tube. Rowan is simply amazing. Small important details, like the book on the shelf of the fireplace, the marvellous smell of the bed linen, etc. We love going to Clonlum, it’s just a special treat for ourselves. We’re regulars and Clonlum has never disappointed us.

Beautiful location, cottage was very clean and excellent amenities. Perfect for a family break. Close to restaurant, local shop and chemist. Tea, coffee, kitchen/toilet roll, condiments and cleaning products were available at the cottage which were very much appreciated, as it avoided buying new supplies for a short stay. Rowan checked on us to see if all was OK and if we needed anything, which was a nice personal touch.

Well equipped, beautifully decorated, ideal location and bonus of it being decorated for Christmas. Excellent for those with limited mobility - ground level, grab rails, shower seat and flat entryway to cottage. Booked as a group with the annexe and it was ideal.

Just what we wanted, nothing to dislike!

The property was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. It is in a good central location for east Ireland. From this location, we drove to Giants Causeway, Carrick a Rede rope bridge, Belfast, Blackrock County Louth, Dublin, Bray, and Avoca. All drives were 1-2 hours, but so nice to return to one place at the end of the day. The cottage has a wonderful view of Slieve Gullion. We drove around all sides of the mountain and to the top. The drive to the top is absolutely breathtaking!!! The host was wonderful. He checked almost everyday to see if we needed anything and gave us tips on places to see each day. Be sure to try Murphy Bar as it is much more impressive on the inside and the food is great. The local Mace grocery had most things we needed. It is a short drive into Newry for large supermarkets and a shopping mall. The cottage is equipped for cooking so we ate breakfast and dinner there and packed a lunch. I can’t say enough good things about this cottage!!! We stayed there 6 days.

Beautiful countryside location. Spacious home with laundry facilities. Room for the 6 of us!

Fridge is smaller than expected. Hot water automatically shuts off at certain times. Hot tub not really able to use without host setting it up which didn’t happen until the last night we were there and it wasn’t very hot.

Super location and very close to Newry,down the road from Sleive Gullion forest park which is fabulous free fun for kids.Stunning views from cottage,cosy fireplace and very family friendly stay.Would highly recommend and we plan on returning in the summer to sample the lovely outdoor seating in the backyard and the hot tub.Locals so friendly.Thanks for a wonderful stay.
