There is a strong sense of nostalgia in this hotel. If you are a returning expatriate as I am, it fills you with a sense of memory for the ‘old Country’ The smell of wood, the big rooms with comfortable beds and crisp clean sheets and fluffy towels, the charm of age in the bar the restaurant and throughout the hotel. Ample and private parking leads you to a picturesque frontage, manicured and colored with an array of flowers and foliage. The old world charm that exists here is a very pleasant atmosphere to stay in and is amplified by the incredible staff who without exception are a delight to interact with. There is an open, genuine, professional and welcoming aura from each one of them that lets you know you are in good hands. It may not be the newest of hotels but the warmth of the experience more than makes up for any minor lack that may exist. Loved it …. I’m sure you will too!

The staff were lovely, the food excellent and I loved the lobby and hallways with such beautiful sofas and armchairs around and about. A beautiful grand piano added greatly to the ambience. I've seldom seen such a generous breakfast as the smoked salmon and poached egg option that one of us ordered. The French toast with bacon and maple syrup was excellent too. We were very happy with the prices here too. Great place. If I lived nearby, I'd definitely have my big roundy birthday here in April...!

Location close to Dublin

At dinner I asked could I have the chicken with chips instead of mash. I was told no I would have to order an extra portion of chips. Surely the chef could cater for this, it resulted in a waste of food as I do not like mash. It was disappointing to be honest as I eat out a lot & usually the servers can never do enough to accommodate a fairly easy request

A truly great spot, enjoyed our stay so much we extended it from 2 to 3 nights. Excellent service with that special touch... very friendly obliging staff, a real gem, a genuine Irish experience from this family run hotel and not the usual typical hotel business vibe. Even visiting locals and maintenance workers had a warm smile and greeting. It was just perfect as a relaxing stay which was our intention, homely and 'country' feel even though it's so close to Dublin. Tourists to Ireland would really like this hidden gem...a true Irish charm experience. 9 out of 10 awarded for the poor mattress which hotel needs to address.

Lovely dinner and an excellent room , a bit noisey late at night with people in the corridor shouting but they were having a good time . Second time I have stayed here and I loved the bar area and the staff were great and the manager fixed a slight issue without a problem and he had a great fun attitude (Foreign chap)

Nothing to dislike, maybe a littel cheaper price but it was a weekend.

A lovely value for money family run hotel. Lots of space and comfortable beds. Home cooked food and chats and smiles from all staff. We stayed for new years night and felt very welcomed by staff and locals alike. A great night was had with attention to detail from the hotel on the night making it a memorable night for all.

A modern face lift on the bedrooms would be nice but they were spotlessly clean.

The best stay in 10 countries!! Beds exceptionally comfortable, Shower VERY good pressure, tub for a soak if needed.. Room large and nicely laid out. Hotel Staff made sure everything was taken care of. ICE for the room and a polite mechanic came quickly to 'fix' something I didn't understand how to work. Pub had tasty menu, Breakfast was.good enough but also included the 'memu' items to order. Parking in back. Peaceful,.quiet town.

The food in the hotel was beautiful. The breakfast buffet is prepared in small batches and regularly refreshed. Always freshly prepared food available. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful. The dining room supervisor runs a very smart operation.

We met a lovely lady that worked in the bar only works weekends and only started in June or July of last year . Never got her name but she went out of her way to look after us . We sat out at reception my partner went into bar to order drinks and she carried the tray of drinks out for him . But everytime my partner went to bar she knew our order she is such an amazing member of staff and hamlet court are so lucky to have her.

The staff were so helpful, welcoming and engaging. And great food too. Location perfect for us - we were breaking our journey en route to the west of Ireland. Accommodation was comfortable, and away from the bustle of the hotel, so very quiet...just what we needed after a long drive.
