We stayed in the White Stables in the Tipperary Suite, it was absolutely stunning to the free standing bath to the tropical rainwater showers. The bed was amazing and so comfortable, we got the turn down service and we had a little heat shaped bag of Lavender 🪻 inside shutters and when they were opened you could hear the water feature on the Lilly Pond. Dinner in the Mill Restaurant was out of this world I got the beef, my partner got the duck so succulent. The Breakfast next morning in the Orangery was amazing, several types of Juices I went for the detox one which tasted of ginger, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, spinach, Rashers, sausages., then we had pastries pain au chocolat, scones, toast, their famous Guinness bread, tea/ coffee prior to this we had fruit salad with Natural yogurt. The facilities were amazing in the Thermal Valley, Hot Tubs, Saunas, And the cold water bucket shower 🚿 afterwards if you dare. Pity it was only 1 night, we cannot wait to return with our Fur Baby Hugo.

nothing everything was outstanding

Everything about Cliffs of Lyons is phenomenal. The location is private, quiet and set on a massive plot of land which allows for walks, bike rides, etc. The price of stay if very affordable for what you are getting. The staff was more than accommodating and always there to meet any demand. The rooms were spectacular and I highly recommend the Thermal Spa. I can't say enough about how great Cliffs of Lyons is.

This is very much a one off, but there was some work being done on or near the thermal spa and a pump or mechanical noise kept us awake throughout our first night. With that said, the staff were extremely helpful in listening to us the next morning and moved us right away. Again this is most likely a one off scenario

The most stunning place I’ve been to! It felt like we were in a little fairytale village! The grounds are gorgeous! The breakfast was delicious with so much choice and in a beautiful room! The spa was pure bliss, so relaxing and cosy. My therapist Claire was exceptional, she went above and beyond! Thank you again. The lady at reception (so sorry I can’t remember her name, she had blonde hair) was so friendly and made our experience even better, she also upgraded us for my sisters birthday which was such a lovely gesture and made our stay even more special! The on-site cafe was amazing, so handy to have whenever we fancied a hot drink and bite to eat. You never needed to leave the grounds as it had everything you could need. It’s was honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and I can’t wait to come back!!!

Amazing property with loads of character and charm. It's absolutely like something out of a fairytale. Friendly and helpful staff who couldn't seem to do enough. Be sure to try the Village Thermal - hot tubs and sauna set in a lush, hidden garden. The location is awesome, too - close to Dublin, yet you feel so far away.

The only criticism was that the breakfast was massive, far too much than we could eat. It felt wasteful when we couldn't finish all that they gave us. There was also some sort of water issue in our building and the pipes were smelly, but the staff was on it right away.

We had a 2 bed cottage which was spacious and looked beautiful. All staff we talked too were very helpful ( very young) and when asked said it was a great place to work which helped with the atmosphere. You need to give yourself time to stroll around the gardens and take it all in. Breakfast was excellent.

The quirks of the old building means that there was only a small shower room to share between 2 bedrooms( we had been told this and were prepared) however the door was only a sliding door that was difficult to close fully. Small maintenance issues which I felt let them down. The receptionist thanked us for highlighting these niggles on checkout.

The staff were incredibly friendly. The food we had was beautiful. The grounds are stunning. The bed was extremely comfortable and we loved the decor in our room and that it had everything we needed. There were a few extra touches in the room that we are extremely grateful for and later when we went for cocktails the bar man even offered to make one not on the menu and made us beautiful drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend. Our breakfast the following day was also superb.

Having had a large lunch on arrival it would have been nice if the Lyon’s den might have had a few greater options later. In fairness we could have returned to the restaurant, which did serve delicious food, but we were just looking for a more relaxed offering at that stage (eg.toastie) in the evening. This is a tiny criticism. We loved every minute of our stay.

Excellent location. I stayed in the “Mayors House’ which was about a 5 minute walk from the reception.

I found the restaurant staff to be a little dismissive / unfriendly, however the breakfast staff couldn’t have been more friendly. Power cut in the middle of the night, which put a dazzling bright light on above the door. Room above must have a wooden/solid floor, as it was incredibly noisy/creaky whenever the guests moved upstairs. Piles of towels/bedding etc was left in the hallways / next to the staircase for the duration of the stay.

Great location, Staff Professional go above and beyond especially breakfast staff, chef and Andras , great asset to Cliff at Lyons. He has a great future ahead of him, Professional 100% but most importantly friendly not false. Staff who look after the vegetable and fruit gardens, hens, pigs, bees do an exceptional job. It really shows they care in the animals and grounds. This was our 3rd visit since covid, great to be back. Great walks to suit all and activities on the canal. Easy to visit attractions with a car very close. Pantry tea shop great selection of take out teas and lunches. Just a great place, Cliff at Lyons. Comfy beds, pillows, power shower, bath, tea, coffee machine. Cleanliness of rooms a credit to all the cleaning staff exceptional. Rooms to suit all groups or couples and spa treatments. My wife and I stayed 3 nights usually we come with our parents but unfortunately couldn't come and our 4 doggies sadly passed away, who stayed twice before covid.

Leaving.

Whatever expectations I had, were far exceeded. The setting is absolutely amazing .... waterfalls, streams, fountain, immaculate and far reaching kitchen gardens and social areas .... as for the property(ies) .. incredible. I have travelled a lot for work and pleasure and stayed in some wonderful hotels -but this is different in its appeal. My cottage (I was upgraded due to a problem with the room I had booked) was beautifully furnished, immaculately clean and wonderful to stay in. Poster beds too, which were incredibly comfortable. It is (big attraction for many) dog friendly and I found this to be true, due to the fond attention my dog received. Breakfast in the Orangery was like 'afternoon tea' experience and quite special. Dinner in the Hall is reallly excellent and cannot be faulted. Staff everywhere went out of their way to please. Cliff at Lyons is somewhat magical - thank you.

Because this is an amazing venue, I feel that this is nit-picking but maybe of use to Cliff management. I was taken to my cottage but no-one asked whether I had any queries re (e.g.) how to reduce heating, spa benefits allowed during stay, etc. It is also a difficult place to locate (the small sign on route points into hedge so missed totally - I did advise) and maybe route directions or map may be useful upon booking. My UK satnav was not helpful!

I absolutely loved the cottage, the whole vibe in the place is fantastic, the cottage was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, the Mill restaurant is also fantastic!

The only dining option in the evening is the Mill Restaurant, which is fantastic for one evening but would have liked an alternative for night two. I didn't notice when booking there was no bath in the cottage, my own fault but would choose one with a bath next time
