Breakfast was just fantastic. They started off with these adorable amuse-bouches each morning that were delightful. The coffee and breakfast entrees were stellar as well. Our room was very spacious and comfortable.
I would have liked to have been a bit more walkable to the main area of Galway, but I was fully aware of the location upon making the reservation, so that was a trade-off I agreed to when I selected this B&B. It's really not far and parking in Galway was pretty easy. It just meant we went back in for bed a little earlier than we would have had we been within a more walkable distance from the main pub scene.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kilbree B&B in Galway, Ireland, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beautiful property and its stunning surroundings. Makes for a very relaxing getaway. My only disappointment is that we hadn't stayed for longer. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which surpassed all expectations. As someone who has indulged in numerous breakfasts at various establishments over the years! I can confidently say that the breakfast at Kilbree B&B was a standout experience. The selection was diverse, the ingredients were fresh, and every dish was prepared with care and attention to detail. It truly set the tone for a fantastic day ahead. I found the overall value for money to be outstanding. The level of service, combined with the quality of accommodation and amenities, far exceeded what one might expect at such a reasonable price point. I would not hesitate to recommend Kilbree B&B to family and friends seeking a memorable stay in Galway. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a convenient base for exploring the area, this charming B&B ticks all the boxes. Many thanks, Dan & Emma

Outstanding breakfast : 5 stars to the chef. Good location
Cold, too cold. We struggled to keep us warm, as the radiator seemed to be under dimensioned and the 3 layers of blankets were too damn heavy. So the owner knows that room is cold. After battling with those heavy blankets, we discovered accidentally the heated blanket and that helped. Would’ve been better if we knew this upfront. The tiny kettle has the cord integrated so you have to unplug it to use it. Recommend changing it with a detachable one. The taps in shower room: British style with two taps - I thought these are defunct as they are impractical. Recommend changing with a mixer tap.

Location. Good bed. Spotlessly clean . Wonderful breakfast. Flexibility when I needed to be away for a day trip and needed breakfast a little earlier. Michael was a great host but so were his kitchen staff. A place like this does not rune without good staff and that were great! Thanks.
One tiny suggestion- some mat for the base of the shower. No myself I was concerned with slipping I found a solution in using towelling. Something more substantial could be.good fork older folk.

Easy to find and ample parking. V quiet en-suite room, bed was very comfortable. Good selection on the breakfast menu and food was really good. 30 min easy walk to hospital and owner was v accommodating about leaving car parked all day if necessary. Good facilities in room including hairdryer. Small Spar round the corner.
Very residential area, next to a school so traffic bad in the morning. Decor is a little old-fashioned and bed had blankets/sheet rather than duvet, though to be fair I slept like a log. Main entrance is up some steep steps.

The room was spacious and convenient to the parking area so we didn’t have to carry our luggage upstairs. The breakfast room was tastefully appointed with space between the tables and an abundance of natural light! Mike and the staff were very polite and friendly, as well as maintaining a sense of professionalism.
The home had stale cooking odors that permeated the hallway and common areas. After being there a while and staying inside our room, we got used to it.

Mike runs a SUPERB establishment! The property is beautifully maintained inside and out. Our room was spacious, clean and well-appointed; it also had basement access which was nice. Excellent, 5-star breakfasts prepared by Chef Mike himself; this was MORE than just breakfast, it was a culinary experience! Balance of staff was very friendly and efficient. Kilbree House also has ample on-site parking and it's just a short drive to downtown Galway and other areas. Good WiFi as well.
We can't think of a single thing!

Plenty of parking for the car. Some rooms were ground level and some were upstairs. Windows opened for fresh air. My room had an area for 2 chairs and a coffee table and a desk which was nice. Also on the desk was a carafe of water with glasses and a teapot. The room also had a small refrigerator. Breakfast in the mornings was cooked to order with a beautiful menu available with pictures. The host and owner was Mike who was a very lovely gentleman.
The railing up the front steps was under construction so the stairs were a little difficult. The address was difficult to find. I didn't use the map from the booking but we finally found it next to an elementary school. The shower was a little small but everything was very clean.

State of the art b&b not too far from Galway city centre by car or public transport . Very nice and welcoming hosts, we followed their indications for restaurants in the city , which were all excellent places . Superb breakfast with lots of options . We felt literally well looked after during our stay . Looking forward to go back when we visit this lovely city again
Nothing at all . Just to point at something, the washbasin in the bathroom was a bit too low for our height . Anyway , we were delighted to stay in this house

Lovely, spacious room with anteroom, large bathroom and balcony. Never experienced amuses-bouche at breakfast before - delicious! Thank you for the great recommendation of O'Grady's on the Pier fish restaurant at Bearna.
The front steps are quite hard work with a heavy suitcase and after a busy trip! I found the bed a little too high for comfort. The shower flow could be improved. Breakfast chairs rather too narrow.
