Excellent location, just off Eyre Square but still quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful - even walking out onto the street with us to to help with directions etc. Rooms, clean comfortable and warm. Lift, great walk in shower in bathroom. Good breakfast included in price.
Parking is in nearby car park (2-3 mins walk) - charged extra. Hotel do have a discounted rate so make sure to pay at hotel. Lift Access to car park only available through the shopping centre when open. Outside of these hours access by stairs only.

Excellent location near enough to walk from the train/bus station. Friendly staff for easy check-in and check-out. Good breakfast choices!

It was an easy walk from the train station: one block down, take a left, one block over, take another left, and down another block. It was the end of the train line. So, train noise wasn't an issue. The lobby was nice. The restaurant and bar were also nice. We had a drink there and a light bite but, not a full meal. It was good. A short walk to the park, bars, and restaurants.
The only issue was tour buses left from nearby the hotel. So, several mornings the sidewalk was crowded with tourist waiting to board their buses. Not a big deal.

Great location, beautifully presented lobby and bar
The staff at breakfast (one older lady who seemed to be the manager) were appalling. She was loudly scolding multiple staff members in the middle of the restaurant, and speaking to paying costumers like dirt. One couple arrived at 9:50am (breakfast ends at 10am) and were spoken to like naughty children because she clearly couldn’t wait to get out of there. As a vegetarian, I found the offerings pretty limited which for €15 is disappointing. I had a spoonful of scrambled egg and a very undercooked hash brown, along with what I can confidently call the worst cup of coffee in Galway. Shame as the breakfast drags the otherwise lovely hotel down.

Location and ease of parking were excellent. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
Concern that our luggage bags in room had been opened by housekeeping during our stay We photographed our bags before going out for the day and they we're definitely opened with some chocolates that we purchased for a gift missing. Minor item and nothing else appeared to be missing. Happens from time to time soyou should notify housekeeping that guests often take photos to determine if bags are disturbed.

Had a lovely stay at the Victoria Hotel, the location was perfect - right beside the centre with easy access to the Christmas markets at the city centre, and also right beside the train station which was handy for us. The room was really nice and cozy, the only thing I will say is the room didn't have a fridge or air conditioning which you would expect at this price. Overall we enjoyed the Victoria Hotel and will be back if we we were the ever visit Galway again.
If you like having a hot Irish breakfast then the breakfast would suit you but there wasn't many "cold" breakfast options, the pastries were nice.

Location and comfortable bed
Seems to be the hotel for hen parties.. We were there on a Friday night... The breakfast room Saturday morning was overrun by 3 tables and no one tried to calm them down. Drinking beers which is their own discretion but screaming at the top of their voices in their pyjamas and slippers doesn't leave a good taste for breakfast... Couldn't wait to leave.. Not 1 staff member asked them to calm down or even approached them about their behaviour....

Very good location. Breakfast was nice and fresh and a good variety. Room comfortable and clean towels/toiletries.
Staff were not the most helpful. My elderly parents and I were told that the restaurant closed at 8.30pm, we got there at 8.15pm and the waiter said the kitchen was too busy to take another order so we had to leave. Also I had problems with parking ticket for multi story car park, and rang reception, young man said he would get someone to call back and no one did. Not very helpful.

The location is super just two min from train station, the hotel is lovely very nice and comfy rooms. The restaurant is lovely and the food super. We had diner on the first night there and it was delicious, we also had the breakfast the following morning and it is plentiful and lots of choices.
The shower head could do with a bit of a renovation and the television does not get the channels well but it is not really and issue unless you are going to spend lots of time in the room but being such a rainy weekend it would have been nice to have better signal.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not dine there so I can't rate it. Breakfast was a very enjoyable experience, we wanted for nothing and everything was cooked perfect. With hot milk on offer was a bonus for me as I always have to request it. Filling my own teapot was another great idea as I like plenty of tea with my breakfast and I could make it as strong as I liked. An overall experience which will bring me back to the victoria hotel.
There was nothing I didn't like, everything was perfect.
