The Ashdown Park Hotel is a busy hotel and for good reason! It is a good value, well situated location-wise, and offers the best breakfast anywhere. Farm to table dining throughout and the most exceptional fruit scones I've ever tasted!

We did have to schedule our breakfasts; that seemed a bit rigid, given the fact we were on holiday and didn't really want to get up at 8:30 a.m. every morning for breakfast. Also, there weren't enough slots in the spa. Worse things could've happened though!

Food!! Space, facilities, parking, spa,value 4 money in bar, power shower, fan provided in mins. Got a room on ground level, as requested, arthritis, a cappuccino 2 die 4 with fab biscuits and great value again. Never got 2 gym r pool, 2 full of breakfast and bar food in eve!! Plenty of space and privacy in dining room despite full house.

Could do badly with air conditioning in room. A hand grab near toilet a must 4 handicapped persons r oap's Didn't no we had 2 book food in bar. We were looked after very well on Tuesday eve but failed 2 get seating, without waiting half an hour as were many others on Wednesday evening

Fresh bright exterior surrounded with beautiful gardens well maintained and cared for fountains and ponds with fish such a cool touch plus the courtyard and smoking terrace with sun gazebo is a touch of class.

Everything was 5 star with the climate changing our summers are getting hotter plus a member of our party of 4 stayed in comfort family room which was fantastic but the room was so hot . A door to replace the window in the room cud be an idea to tackle the temperature on hot seasons or days or even better air conditioning would definitely give this 4 star hotel a well deserved 5 star rating

We got an upgrade to a nicer room when the one we were in was unacceptable. It was directly above where wedding guests were smoking and talking. Although that room didn't meet our expectations, the staff were helpful and pleasant, and the room we were moved to exceeded our expectations. The head housekeeper who moved us was very warm, helpful and friendly. The room was gorgeous, beautifully decorated.

The mattresses in the first room were too soft, uncomfortable inner springs. In the second room we moved to they were firm and comfortable. The hotel is so large there wasn't much of a personality, could find the same sort of thing anywhere run by a bunch of suits.

Hotel was beautiful,room was fab, netflix at the ready for small ones,pool was fab my little one loved it ,and play area was great for her she's 3

Staff had to be chased a bit,3 times I had to ask for my daughter's food to come out,then she had an accident in the bed I rang to have bed changed while at breakfast,not done,then went to the pool still not done ,finally rang again and eventually 2hrs after asking twice they came by then was too late!Other than that fab hotel staff are polite and nice just didn't like having to keep chasing up things

Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The room was large and comfortable. Fluffy towels, toiletries and tea and coffee were all provided and replaced when used. Public areas exuded quality. All staff were friendly and helpful. Gorey town centre was a 15 minute walk away. However, an ALDI store was just a few minutes away.

The bathroom was very good but cleaning seems to have omitted corners particularly on the sink unit where dust had built up over time. This was visible and very accessible, so no excuses. Toast at breakfast was poor as bread remained white.

The breakfast was great. Continental selection was self service. There was a menu for hot food which was waiter service. Our room was spacious and extremely comfortable. Dinner was of an equally high standard. The staff are a credit to the hotel. Everyone was friendly, helpful and professional.

The changing facilities for the hotel pool could do with a face lift. There is only one cubicle, the remainder is communal with limited space.

From the moment we entered the fabulous lobby area we were well looked after. Very busy hotel so booking the meals including breakfast times was all dine in advance. The room was excellent, fresh bottled water, spacious room with a double and a single bed. Tea/coffee facilities. plenty if parking. The indoor pool and spa all excellent. The food was great too.

only that the temperature seemed too hot but the only heater we saw was the towel heater in en-suite. so we just opened the window

Breakfast was lovely and service very prompt. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

The service was slow in the ivy bar. Also there was a water aerobic class in the pool. There was no section for residents to swim. I think a section should be kept for the families if they choose to go into the pool. There is 1 hairdryer in the female toilets of the gym.there needs to be at least 2/3.

Breakfast was amazing. Great choice and lovely food.

Reception and checkin. The receptionists dont acknowledge you. You're left standing there. We weren't told anything about the hotel facilities, breakfast times, dinner options etc. Only that i asked we would not have been told that we had to book our breakfast. Overall the staff on the desk are unfriendly and unwelcoming. We weren't even asked if we enjoyed our stay or thanks for our payment when leaving.
