The term boutique hotel is the song of summarize it it is Avital hotel it's a family run especially specially fantastically well managed great atmosphere family atmosphere well located in the center of Jerusalem it is very important to keep those kind of hotel and not getting eaten by a chain or where everything is the same the only problem I have is that I don't have any more friends to come with me to enjoy this fantastic place close to the bus station the train station The Old City the city parks and the Rogers neighborhood where I go to pray every morning

I think if they could give the guest the breakfast the regular people who come to visit the owner are doing it will be even better you know have a special menu to give to the guests when arrive if you don't have breakfast be patient have a free coffee and wait for the guys to come in

The room was clean, spacious with a large comfortable bed. The location was superb with a light railway stop just outside. The market, which was fabulous, just a minute away. Various restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. If you are expecting 5* luxury then look elsewhere, but for good quality central accommodation look no further. Accommodation in Israel is pretty expensive compared to many other parts of the world and I’ve stayed in some fabulous hotels for less. However, taking everything into account including the extremely helpful staff this is an excellent base. The small kitchenette was a Godsend during Shabbat when there was nowhere open to eat.

The only criticism I have is that I upgraded my room to a 2 bed apartment a few weeks before I came and only got a bedroom with a kitchenette but still charged the price for a 2 bed. I should have checked and addressed it when I was still there but it didn’t occur to me until I’d left that I’d upgraded my accommodation, there was another door in my room but this was locked.

It was really amasing , actually the choice of this hotel made my trip to Jerusalem much more easy and comfprtable , wunderfull location near the main market, the main bus station, most of the religious places to visit and just in front of the light train station . Also a very friendly and helpfull staff specially ASHRAF. Very clean and large rooms. I would really recommend it to my friends

The bathroom was too small

It was a very nice and comfortable stay I had at Avital Hotel. I stayed here 9 days. I got a very nice and spacious flat, with bedroom, livingroom (with flat screen), kitchen, bathroom (with flat screen) and balcony. Nice and lively neigbourhood, few steps to the tram (public transport). The personal of the Hotel is very helpul, kind and respectful, specially Ashraf. I did not get the names of other two recepcionists, but all of them were very nice to me. I have beeen many times in Jerusalem at different hotels, but this one has been the best. Very good value for money!

It was almost impossible to cook in the kitchen, due to the lack of kitchen utensils!

Very helpful, friendly and caring staff. Nitzan and Asaf made sure that I had everything I needed.The location is outstanding. Close to the light rail, Mahane Yehuda market, and Jerusalem sites.

Although the hotel description indicated that there is no elevator, I stayed on the top floor for my entire 30 day stay. The 50+ stairs was a bit challenging. Also, the noise level from Jaffa Street took some time to get used to it. The hotel has no control over that. However, if you are a light sleeper, you should take that into consideration. The room was kept clean and had everything I needed. However, the hotel is showing signs of its age and could use some refreshing.

Location! Location! Location! A very short walk to the Mahena Yehuda market!! We enjoyed the variety of restaurants in the market and the fresh baked goods and fruits and veggies. The market was so vibrant and the energy in the market is too the roof. The room was spacious with a car bed frame! Really cute. The air conditioning was great and there's a heater in the bathroom. The kitchen was adequately furnished. The reception folks were delightful and friendly. They assisted us with directions and even helped us with our luggage! It was a very pleasant experience. We will go back again in a heartbeat!!

The stairs to go up to the room. They did not have an elevator. Glad they put us on the lowest level.

The appartment had two rooms and a balcony. It was clean and quiet. AC in every room. The owners were very polite and helpful. Nice location next to food market, and next to the tram stop to the old Jerusalem.

The single beds were on wheels. So they were squeaky. It was very annoying. The kitchen had no hob or oven and was not equiped for cooking. Only a microwave and a water kettle.

This hotel is in a superb location right next to Mahane Yehuda market. It is a ten minute walk from Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon railway station and the central bus station and a twenty minute walk to Jaffa Gate along Jaffa Street - West Jerusalem's main shopping & entertainment artery. Very comfortable bed. Excellent air conditining unit to combat that intense Jerusalem heat. Very warm & welcoming staff. I especially appreciated the offer of a free cappuccino to set me on my way each morning. I would happily stay again for the price I paid. A very affordable hotel in a very expensive city.

The bathroom is a very tight squeeze in room 9. Also, the free wifi is very intermittent in that room (though I got a perfect uninterrupted connection in the reception area). The kitchenette area of the room had not been very thoroughly cleaned before I checked in. There was residual jam and fresh fruit on the work surface. A minor issue which I cleaned away myself.

The location is great, just in the city center.

The simple answer would be: everything. :-) The location: walking distance from both the central station and the old city. The tram stop is just some few meters from the entrance. Shops and a market nearby. The staff: absolutely helpful, kind and polite people. The room: better than expected. Spacious, comfortable, well equipped. I even had a balcony!! :-) I can recommend staying in this hotel.

Just a minor issue was that that the ringing of the tram could be heard inside the room. Not very loudly, but fairly frequently. It was not an issue with me, I could sleep well, but someone with more sensitive ears may found it a bit annoying sometimes. Well, find it out yourself! :-)
