The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room had beautiful views of the river and city below. The bed was comfortable. Everything was very close to the hotel. Public transportation was easy to use. The riverwalk below provided a scenic walk with restaurants. TIP: On your way out, call (dial 0) each morning asking for fresh towels to be delivered. Place an online order for the Corner Bakery next door and pick it up on your way out. It's also easy to place an order for the hotel restaurant (Hoyt's) online and pick it up at the bar. They are open until 11pm.

The location is excellent, very central/loop, and amazing views across the river. Our upgraded room was lovely and clean (albeit very very noisy, as low level facing road). Some of the staff at reception were lovely and very helpful - Deja and Dominic in particular. Gyn was lovely overlooking the river.

All rooms with city available were close to a noisy lift. We were re-roomed to an upgraded room with river view but unfortunately the cars/car radios were even more noisy. The member of staff checking us in was not very helpful. A large deposit is taken off credit card and there was some confusion around the final payment/refund. Also we booked with breakfast included, not something the hotel seems used to.

We were greeted every time we walked up to the entrance and walked through in the door with a smile and friendly. words. Charles was a very nice man and helpful with directions and helped us with a few suggestions we asked him about. He always offered to get us transportation if needed. Ben was the first employee we met and he checked us in and gave us an option to upgrade our room to a ‘River view’ and it was an awesome view… it made our hotel stay ! The River view was amazing to see when we came back to the hotel. Ben has great customer service skills and is very friendly. Great hotel experience … will definitely stay with your hotel when we’re are back in Chicago!

Not a thing…

Very convenient location, right on the Chicago River. We were upgraded to a suite for 3 nights that was remarkable, very comfortable and quiet.

By no fault of the hotel or the valet service, our car had 3 windows broken while in the valet garage. They are taking care of the claim, cleaned the glass out of the car, and put plastic on the windows. For the next 2 days the car was parked on Wacker right in front of the 24hr valet. Was a huge pain driving a car 540 miles home with 3 windows covered in plastic.

Room was very clean beautiful view room spacious close to everything the room could have used a microwave due too my having to spend for food everyday and throwaway any left over had we had a microwave we could have warmed up food but the room did have a refrigerator which was extremely helpful but everything was great would definitely be using them again loved the Royal Sonesta

once we arrived, the staff were very helpful and responsive to our needs. the front desk, the restaurant, the luggage courier, the person who delivered our baby bed, the cleaning staff - ALL of our interactions were positive.

the customer service leading up to arrival could use help. There are clearly limitations with the booking.com platform connection, the phone service (getting to an actual person and not disconnected), and we were told early check in is impossible but in fact it was no problem.

Nicely renovated, clean and fresh hotel. Big room, with beautiful view to the river and the bed was extra comfy. Perfect location and attentive staff.

Would have given a better rating, but the breakfast was a huge disappointment. Only order from menu, not much variety, overpriced compared to what you get. Highly recommend to skip the hotels breakfast and go to another hotel nearby or the wonderful Goddess and the Baker. Unfortunately will not stay again, as especially on a business trip your mornings are tight so need to have breakfast on site. With a proper breakfast this would be my favourite spot to stay in Chicago.

The hotel is located at the best location, the river view from the room is amazing during at night and on the day. Everything was perfect, the rooms were super clean, the bed was so good, nice decorations and I felt very secured. It was walking distance to the train station and you can even walk to the Navy Pier. The staffs were so friendly and welcome. They were very helpful in letting us know all the information that we ask.

We spent there three nights. The locaction is excellent, right in the center and with a great river view from the room at the last floor. The room was big and featured as expected. We arrived very early in the morning and were given the room immediately.

No housekeeping after the first night: it was delivered as we reported that but no one communicated in advance that this has to be requested, which is not fair for such a class hotel ($430 per night, room only). Then, after the second night the same happened: no housekeeping again...

Loved the room size! Very spacious. I loved the location. The lobby was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. I Loved being on the high floor! Very nice hotel! Will definitely stay again.

I didn't like that my views were the back of the hotel, but I know that can't be changed. Also, I requested bedding for the sleeper sofa (my daughter stayed a night), but we never received it. We called twice. It was a Friday night, so I assumed you were very busy. It worked out, though. She slept with me.
