High quality hotel with nice view, really good quality decor and spec of rooms. Excellent breakfast selection and quality of food. Few mins from ponte vechio, great location as nothing is more than 20 mins walk in any direction max. 20 mins walk from station so easily walkable.

The bellhop was incredibly helpful and courteous with our bags all the way up to the apartment. All of our requests were mediately responded to. The view from the balcony and the windows were incredible. We could see the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio bridge, and Palazzio vecchio as well as much of this City. We were right in the middle of everything. the apartment was five minutes walking distance from the uffizi and all of the attractions. Hotel BALISTRERI did a great job. We couldn’t figure out how to control the air conditioning unit and the room was freezing. But during a heat wave, that was not a complaint at all.

it’s location is most convenient, out of the noise and congestion, but next to all the activity and sights. The breakfast was very appropriate. All staff members were very polite and most helpful.

Although the finishes are excellent, the bathroom layout in room 208 is very poorly arranged. The system of lighting switches is convoluted and confusing. The lighting for the closets in the hallway is very poor and does not allow you to see anything on the top and bottom shelves. The lighting in the bathroom is terrible to put on makeup despite the small Morrow, but there is no other location to do so in the room.

We couldn't stay at Hotel Balestri as it was being refurbished, but we were transferred to their sister hotel ,Hotel L'Orologio and were advised a week before. My goodness, what a palace , there was nothing to dislike. The staff were welcoming, the building was gorgeous and our room was upgraded before we arrived to a deluxe, it was huge! The breakfast room was on the 4th floor and had fabulous views over Piazza Santa Maria Novella, which is stunning! I would certainly visit again and recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting beautiful Florence.

There was nothing to dislike!

Excellent Location. One of the best staff we have seen so far in Italy. Nice, cozy rooftop terrace. Good bar and lounge area with good breakfast in the lobby. Front desk gave us a map with location highlights and best of all they have a full list of local good authentic restaurants which they share with you at check in and and even help reservations. we picked two of their recommendations and they made bookings for us in both of them for 2 separate dinners (which otherwise would be impossible to get). it was amazing. The room which we got had Arno River view and has amazing view of river and Ponte Vecchio bridge in the distance. it’s very centrally located and literally all major locations are in walking distance.

Some rooms are too small but others are beautiful. The open terrace has limited space and is usually occupied by guests with have rooms around it. Lift is small. Breakfast is good but can have more options.

Beautiful hotel at an amazing location. Very high quality breakfast. We stayed at the apartments that are in a separate building (about 500 meters from the hotel). Very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with windows overlooking Ponte Vecchio. Really can't think for a more convenient location.

Check-in for the apartments is somewhat complicated - checking in at the hotel, then taking a cab to the apartments. The hotel staff make it all seamless, but it still takes longer than just staying in the main building.

The central heating system jumped to 26 degrees every night. You could not turn it down or off. Finally, after two nights, they were able to turn it off using their system. Staff was lovely by the way. Just the issue with the heating was irritating.

The staff were very friendly and helpful when we arrived. They were also very helpful in taking our cars to the garage and bringing them back when we wanted. The room was very clean and also very quiet which is not always the case in Florence.

Unfortunately, they did not have in the reservation that we were bringing our dog although I mentioned in the reservation here and also I called a week prior to confirm. In the end though, it was not a problem however this error did cause a moment of panic.

The staff were competent and attentive and helpful. The position excellent being within a short walk of the centre. The breakfast buffet was fine but not very extensive for a 4 star B&B.

The bar prices were the highest we had to pay anywhere in Florence, a small beer being twice the usual price. Our first room, 107, was set up for a handicapped guest hence the shower was level with the bathroom floor. This led to the floor being flooded making access to the toilet possible only with wet feet! However, a replacement room could be offered also with a river view so the inconvenience was minimal.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our two small dogs. Our room was on the top floor and it was spacious and had access to the rooftop patio. The bedroom was a really good size, very clean, and comfortable. Staff left a dog bed and bowl which was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet was basic but good. Overall we had a wonderful stay. The location was excellent (walking distance to Ponte Vecchio and a lot of other attractions). The staff was very friendly and helped us whenever we had questions or needed help with luggage or getting a taxi.
