The room was very modern and perfectly sized for one person; perfectly clean and appears to have been recently renovated. Location isn't a 10/10, but for the price, its certainly not bad either; it is a little removed from everything. It is quiet at night and far enough removed from the excitement of Florence. It is maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the Piazza del Duomo and about 5-8 minutes from the Mercato Centrale; this location is perfectly serviceable if you don't mind walking to things! Staff was friendly and accommodating and the cleaning services were very prompt. Wifi is reliable. I would stay again!

Despite the high score, a few minor qualms: The water pressure in the overhead part of the shower was nearly non-existent, which made washing hair a little bit of a struggle. The bed I also found somewhat uncomfortable, very hard but not unsleepable. The door code for my room stopped working after the first day; thankfully I was also provided a physical key. As others have mentioned, the bathroom lights are motion detected and sometimes turn off while using the bathroom. TV needs to be on for the Wifi to work, which I have never seen before.

The property was a short 10 minute walk from the train and bus station and easy to find as it had a well lit sign above the door. You are given a code that allows you entry into the hotel, your floor, and your room so that you may enter at any given time of day or night. The rooms are super clean and the shower was amazing! The manager, Giovanni, couldn’t have been any more helpful or accommodating toward me :) As a solo female traveler, I felt like he took care of me as if I were his own daughter. Giovanni greeted me warmly when I checked in and had my room ready for me in no time. He communicated quickly and effectively with me through WhatsApp anytime I needed anything or had a question, putting my worries at ease. He held onto my bags all day (and even stayed later than usual) so that I could pick them up when I got back from my tour. Giovanni also helped me look up train schedules when I needed to go to Rome. He happily gave me suggestions (along with a map) of what to do/see around Florence, where to eat, etc. Giovanni truly made me feel safe and well taken care of during my first time in Florence. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling solo through this city (or even with family/friends). You will not be disappointed!

Hotel was recently done up. They have not had a chance to update the photos yet (as of May 2022). So I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived by how modern it is now. Great Bathroom/Shower, Safe & mini-fridge in the room; Air-con, TV & Wifi. Good location beside Train station & about 15min from Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Might be a bit far for anyone who struggles with walking, but for me it was perfect. Nice & quiet at night also. Good Continental Breakfast. Very friendly & helpful staff.

Google Maps gives a slightly incorrect location. Street is correct, but it's on the next block, North East so little hard to find, but not too far.

Very central location with lots of nice bars and restaurants around. Very quiet and clean room. Highly recommended!

Service: The hotel staff is very patient and friendly. Online communication is almost replied in seconds. I can't believe that even five-star hotels can't do this. Room: Quiet, clean and comfortable. The room is very new. The room feels much larger than the picture, and there is a small balcony. It is far beyond my expectations. I thought it was small and old from the picture. The hotel is too low-key and doesn't say anything good about itself. Location: Very good, it is a very delicate balance. If you drive by yourself, the parking garage is 100-200m away from the hotel, so you don't have to drag your luggage for too long. It is not very downtown, but it is within walking distance to the attractions, which saves the trouble of driving in the old city and makes us feel safer.

I don't normally write reviews but the Hotel Delle Camelie was a fantastic find. Central location with only 10 min walk from the train station. Giovanni the hotel manager was extremely helpful with local info including restaurants (Osteria Il Giardino di Barbano, round the corner was excellent run by Zack & Aleksia). The hotel has been recently renovated and is to a very high standard, rooms are clean, have air-con and are a good size with coffee & tea included. Also has a great choice for breakfast. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

This small family run hotel is absolutely perfect. My room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and air conditioned with lovely amenities including good wifi. Close to a nice selection of exceptional restaurants, Easy walking distance to all the major attractions and also a bit removed from the crowds so evenings are quiet. Breakfast is available for an additional charge, with a lovely selection of fresh baked goods, yogurt, fruit, coffee, in a sunny charming morning room. I can't say enough good things - everyone there was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was very nice and only 10 minutes from the center and 5 minutes from the train station. The couple who own the hotel were very helpful and really very friendly. Told us where to eat well etc. The room was very nice, large and had a balcony. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds in any hotel. It had a memory foam mattress. You could make tea and coffee in the room, you even had two water bottles that you can refill in the lobby at any time without paying. We hadn't booked breakfast but it looked very good.

The Hotel Manager, Giovanni, was super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was fabulous, very clean, quiet and new. The amenities were great, with coffee, tea and water available in your home, along with delicious wafers. The TV was awesome as you could use it to connect to the internet and from there, log into your Hulu / Netflix to watch shows. The location was the best. Short 7 minute walk from the train station, a bakery across the street and little market at the end of the street. The walk into the hustle and bustle of Florence was only about 15 minutes, so close enough to all the action but far enough from all the noise. Would definitely stay there again.
