The Palazzo is a haven of calm and quiet in the middle of a busy city. It has a beautiful garden and amazing staff. We were able to check out, spend the day looking round Florence before returning to the Hotel to make use of the spa, shower and change and then travel to the airport to fly home. All of this was easily arranged. The room was very comfortably and stylishly furnished and had an excellently appointed en-suite bathroom. The food served in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast selection extensive and tasty.

We made the mistake of walking from Florence SM station to the hotel. It’s not far but the street is very narrow, has badly maintained pavements and incredibly crowded. Getting a trolley case along the street was slow, hot and difficult. When we arrived at the address it was tricky to spot the hotel entrance - there is minimal signage and we thought we’d been sent on a wild goose chase by Google Maps. We only tried a door where someone with a suitcase came out and got into a taxi.

Florence is very busy, but the hotels’ location was perfect for escaping the crowds. Everywhere is walkable, and there’s enough eating options either in or out to keep you there for a year! The rooms were spacious with excellent house keeping standards. The hotel garden and pool is an oasis of calm, and a delight to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

I didn’t like the way some guests treated the superb staff. The staff responded with professionalism which must be applauded.

so clean, the breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere was so peaceful after a hectic day out in Florence it was lovely to come back to the calm! gorgeous gardens too.

Having to book to use the pool and having allocated time slots. This wasn’t mentioned on the booking and I didn’t see the other comments in the reviews until it was too late. May have chosen a different hotel with normal access to the pool if I had known as that was the key reason why we chose the hotel for the pool access being in the height of summer!

Everything in this place was amazing. Particularly the kindness and willingness to help of the members of staff; from the reception persons to the person who made the room. The service was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. They also have a doctor on call 24/7, which was a blessing during my stay. I needed a mat to exercise daily and it was delivered to my room as part of the service in no time. The room was beautiful with a balcony to the garden from which I could hear the water fountain. The beds are great, the breakfast selection was excellent and the coffee was something else (take my word: I am a Melburnian... :o) ) The gym, spa, sauna facilities are stunning. The location is excellent. Walking distance to Santa Maria Novella railway station and church, the Duomo, Medici Chappels, the Central Market. It was a fabulous complement to a great holiday.

The location was perfect 10 minutes walk from the major attractions we planned to attend. The staff particularly Camilla in the restaurant in the evening were exceptional and polite. The facilities and hotel were excellent and clean, the hotel smelt amazing.

Unfortunately the ground floor showers overflowed, and was sending bad angels from uber the shower tray. This was quickly resolved by staff by moving us to a new room, however the second rooms shower leaked across the bathroom.

The hotel was awesome. When you walk up to the front door, you do not expect the surprise you get once inside. The bungalow was so nice. It was very clean and very well decorated. It had all the supplies you could need. It had the nice private courtyard. The bedrooms were on opposite ends, which gave even more privacy. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The free breakfast was good. The staff was very nice and very helpful. It was in a great location and a short walk to the train station.

It was a bit pricey but nothing that I didn't like otherwise.

Breakfast was good, lots of choices. The Internet was fast and stable. Great location, walking distance to the historical center. Many good restaurants nearby.

The gym is tiny and hardly usable - one bike, one treadmill, one bench, the smallest dumbbell was 16kg, biggest 30kg. The coffee at breakfast was horrible. Also you have to reserve the gym, which actually was a good thing.

it was very peaceful and a great escape from the busy streets of Florence. The staff were very friendly and the place was spotless. Breakfast was amazing and the spa was gorgeous.

it wasn’t clear from the booking that you can only use the spa for 90 minutes and had to book it in. I assumed ‘spa access’ meant you could use it at your leisure. I appreciate it kept numbers down at any one point though but it would be good if you could still use the pool outside of having to book just to cool off!

This place is a gem. While it’s a bit far from the main shops/piazzas, it makes up for that with its beauty, staff, and everything else. The pool isn’t large, but great for a cool-down in the afternoon after waking and lunch. Will definitely be back.

The pool reservation system is a bit weird, because you can stay in the chairs all day as long as you don’t go in the pool, but is still great. And the restaurant was “meh,” but fine for a quick bite before hitting the town.
