FOR WHAT WE PAID, HOTEL GALILEO WAS SO SOLID. BEST THINGS ABOUT THIS HOTEL - VERY GOOD LOCATION WITH A 10-15 MINUTE WALK TO MAIN PIAZZAS, BUT IT'S NOT IN THE HEART OF THE SUPER BUSY SECTIONS. THE LOCATION IS SAFE & ONLY TWO BLOCKS FROM THE BIG MARKET BUILDING & THE OUTDOOR VENDORS OUTSIDE THE MARKET. ONLY ABOUT A 10 MINUTE WALK MAXIMUM TO THE FLORENCE TRAIN STATION AS WELL. THE MANAGER WAS SO FABULOUS AND ONE OF THE AM STAFF ALWAYS ANSWERED OUR QUESTIONS THOROUGHLY & THE HOTEL PROVIDED US WITH AN EXCELLENT MAP OF FLORENCE. THEY SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH & ARE ACCOMMODATING TO GUESTS. THE ROOMS WAS WELL APPOINTED - SIMPLE, BUT CLEAN & PLEASANT. LOVELY HIGH CEILINGS. THE AIR CONDITIONING WORKED EXCELLENT, WHICH WAS GOOD BECAUSE OUTSIDE IT WAS IN THE 90S (FAHRENHEIT).

THE SHOWER WAS A BIT SMALL, BUT CONSIDERING WE HAD THE OPTION OF TUB OR SHOWER, IT REALLY WASN'T THAT BAD.

My reviews is always honest, because next visitor should know everything and if hotel is good, no worry at all. Our day of arrive we had a issue with room, that wasn't as excepted. But they solved it quickly and rest time in hotel (6 nights) were good. People, working there is a warm and caring and ready to provide best service, truly, not with "keep smiling face". Even facility may need some refresh - all works and looks still nice, same as local atmosphere. Room were spacy (superior) and noise from the street doesn't bother us. Breakfast is in Italian style - croissants, bred, ham and cheese, fruits, yogurt, cakes and even boiled egg, but don't except warm food - only warm croissants available. Surprisingly were choice good enough and we actually didnt miss nothing. Some previous comment were poor schedule of breakfast (not enough left for late arrive) then we didnt notice something like - even some ended, ladys bring a new plate or cooked new croissants. WIFI were good and strong. I want to note one small , but great thing - as we should leave morning very early (4.00 pm) then we asked only coffee at morning without food, because we havent time for it. Even we repeated - only coffee, still, after wake up we smelled aroma of fresh croissants. 4.00 PM, when regular breakfast start 07.00 !!!! Desk manager called even taxi driver in giving us time finish our hot coffee. So, I can advise this hotel to anyone and in opportunity will go back there either.

I cant actually say nothing bad. Refreshment of facility may improve overall look, but hotel were clean and we didnt noted issues with it. After all - its still 3 star hotel, not Hilton or some, but homely. Perhaps one thing - TV show only italian language programs - some other language may be good and for modern world is a word - SmartTV - common. Then there may be a ability use SmartTV services or even connect to TV via Bluetooth or wire (HDMI). Then is possible to watch home country programs also according EU regulations.

Breakfast was in the form of a buffet. There was everything for sandwiches, oatmeal or ready-made sweet pies. You could choose whether you wanted coffee, tea or juice. In general, we were very satisfied) The location of the hotel is 10 minutes from the train station and 6-8 from the main attraction and the market. I also recommend going to Zaza, it's very tasty there.

It looked good for its price, but the walls could be repainted or better restored. Also, we could hear the water being turned on from the next room.

The location was fine, but the Via Nazionale is CRAZY BUSY. There is car, truck, bus, and pedestrian traffic 18 hours a day. The staff was excellent. They made check in and check out easy. They helped us with suggestions for "what to do in Florence", and they answered all of our questions.

The room was very small (3 m x 3 m, which is okay because we didn't come to Florence to stay in our room), so it was difficult to move around. Especially with the large windows that open INTO the room. The windows were wonderful and let in a lot of fresh air but the street noise was loud and ever-present, AND A LOT of mosquitoes came into our room through the open windows. There should be a mosquito screen for that.

Good location, staff was nice and breakfast was good and versatile. Room was clean and comfy and was ready when we arrived bit early which was super nice for us

We asked for separated beds when booking and again when arriving. There were yes two beds in the room, one king/queen size and one small extrabed which was kinda weird cause we were expecting for two separated normal beds but that was no issue to us, just found it bit weird. Some noises from the street can be heard, not badly though

The water pressure is fantastic. Beds are comfortable. The place is very modest, which I expected. The staff was very kind and even upgraded us the second time we came. They held our bags for us overnight. Fantastic.

The AC was governed, which I did not know until I asked why I could not make it cooler. I was told if I had asked, they would have released the limiter. I would totally go again if I were trying to save money.

The location of the property is fantastic, so close to the train station and a really easy walk to all the sites. Lots of nice restaurants and cafes around. The staff was lovely and the room itself was very nice. It was quite spacious and all the facilities worked.

The walls don’t seem to be well soundproofed so you can often hear someone flush in the next room, if the bathrooms share a wall.

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, particularly Fabian, who went an extra mile in helping us to find and book good restaurants, and in providing other advises. Breakfast at 7 Euros is good value, and very helpful and efficient staff there as well.

The 3 of us in a triple room only have 1 luggage rack and could not get more. And it was hard to get hot water in the room as we could not borrow a kettle (apparently due to hotel regulation).

Everything was neat and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great, being close to the train station, several main attractions and lots of good eateries. Be sure to go to Mercato Centrale, there is good coffee on the ground floor in the morning and loads of choices for food upstairs 😋

The buzzing of the locks whenever someone accessed their room. It was loud and woke us up a few times.
