Friendly helpful staff and spacious room with very comfortable bed. The location was excellent within walking distance of all the main places of interest to visit.

The position of the room was a little disappointing and it was a bit dark as it looked over a courtyard in shadow so the windows let no sun in but the rooms shown on the website for the hotel and the reviews on the website indicated that the room would have a view to look out on. The website also looked like there was a garden at the property but this was really a carpark with no access for guests.

This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The room was beautiful! We stayed in the room with the cream bed and the renaissance art work on the ceiling. The room as soon as you enter and see the 20ft high ceiling and chandelier it’s absolutely breathtaking. The location is perfect everything you would want to see in Florence is a 10 to 15 minute walk. There is a very nice coffee shop next door to the hotel that opens from 10am and closes around midnight. The shower gel in the bathroom smells incredible and our room was cleaned daily. We loved the very high bed and it’s very comfortable. Be prepared to be extremely happy with your stay.

Nothing- everything was perfect!

We stayed here for a few nights while staying in Florence, and I have to say it's the BEST location!!!! It's not where all the tourist arw but it's only an 8 minute walk to the shops and plaza etc!! Definitely the best location!!! On top of being the best location the service was absolutely amazing !! This hotel is a family owned buisness and they are lovely very accommodated !! The room was clean and cute it felt like you were in a palace in the early 1900's with a modern spin of course! There is someone at the front desk from 8AM-7PM, this is a hotel but keep in mind there isn't 24/7 concierge. There is also great restaurants in this area maybe 5 minute walk and a great and yummy Cafe just around the corner they will give tou the details!

My husband and I stayed at 6 different hotels/airbnbs during our travel through Italy and Palazzo D’Oltrarno was my ABSOLUTE favorite! We stayed in the King Room with a garden view… absolutely perfect! The room was huge and beautiful. From the painted ceilings to the romantic decor, 10/10. I would personally recommend to anyone to stay on the other side of the river! the hotel is right next to the bridge so the walk is hardly a walk a all. location is PERFECT!! staff was very welcoming and helpful too. We drove our own car and parked at Garage Lungarno. not quite close enough to walk w lots of luggage, but if you have just a carry on or small bag you definitely can. otherwise I would recommend to drop off luggage then park. Bathroom was very clean too! Really appreciative they had a safe too! 10/10, would definitely stay there again if we return back to Florence! Which i hope we do:) Some other recs for anyone curious: lunch at Four Leoni (get the lasagna & pear ravioli), dinner at Osteria Giovanni (florentine steak was incredible), do a past pass through Get Your Guide to see David, & shop! For reference, we stayed here in mid September 2024.

Only complaint is from my husband who says the sheets were scratchy, but he’s picky so take that with a grain of salt. I slept great!

The bed is big and comfortable enough to sleep. The room is placed in a half floor (between the first and second floor) without elevator so if you have big luggages you have to carry them. There is a refrigerator in the room. The communication with the hotel is perfect, they answer late calls and accepted our last minute booking.

There is no flexibel shower head but only a fixed, stable one. Furthermore there is a buzzing noise in every minute probably from the air conditioner. In addition to that there is no real sunlight in the room but only from the interior corridor however it's advantage that you cannot hear the noise of the street.

Very convenient location just south of the Arno, walking distance from train station. Spacious room with kettle and herbal tea (not replaced after first night). Good shower and quaint bathroom. Impressive lobby and atmospheric building. Helpful reception staff. Effective air conditioning.

I had been expecting a hotel with restaurant but it was just rooms although there are cafes close by for breakfast. My room, although expensive, wasn't as grand as all the photos; it looked over the internal courtyard and there was a lot of noise from the gate and others in the building. At least there was no street noise.

It was an amazing accommodation. The place is located in a quiet neighborhood, with lots of amazing restaurants and bars, and it's close to all of the attractions and museums you have to visit while you stay in Florence. The staff is polite and helpful, they even prepared our room in advance for an easier check in. The room was absolutely stunning. We truly recommend this place!

Great location out of the hustle and bustle while still surrounded by great cafes and bars.

Rooms really need some softness. Maybe a rug, some soft seating and wall hangings. Rooms are very cold and dark, given the terrazzo floors and height of ceilings they really need to be warmed up a bit with fabrics and rugs. Also loud noises at night. Not from the street, within the building. Not sure what it was or where it was coming from but it was every night. Getting into the building was very confusing at first. Signage would be good.
