Location was great, easily walkable to everything - and the rooms were quiet

One of the reasons we didn’t Airbnb was because we wanted to have a lounge area with drinks after we put the kids to bed but the bar shut down (like kicked us out as drinks aren’t allowed in the rooms - even private ones) at 10:30pm . It felt rushed and unnecessary. We would have gone elsewhere but didn’t want to leave our kids and the website hours posted were till midnight. Also the pool didn’t open till 4 pm.

Plus Florence is listed as a hostel, but it exceeded BY FAR my concept of what a hostel is. It had 2 indoor common areas plus 1 outdoor; A bar; Indoor and outdoor pools; Coin-operated laundry facilities; A gym; A 2-tier terrace, and onsite breakfast options. Some floors also had vending machines with beverages and snacks. The facilities were safe. Parking is also offered at an extra fee, but limited in space, so book ahead. None of these I know about ahead of booking. =P We managed to book a private room for 2 (2 single beds, but we were able to just join them together) with a private bathroom. The room is small but very adequate for a short stay such as ours (2 nights). The shower was very nice, with adequate hot water and good pressure.

Nothing! Would be great if it was a bit cheaper.

Great location, clean rooms and friendly staff. Good stay, we didn’t have any issues at all. The aircon worked perfectly and there was no noise despite the amount of people that stay at the hostel at all times.

There are two buildings. The lifts in building at the back are sooooo slow and old, so we chose to use the stairs instead…which is not ideal when you have heavy bags. The room was a bit smaller than what you see in the photos. The sauna and indoor pool were closed, so we couldn’t enjoy that part of the facilities. The drying machine in the laundry room didn’t dry our clothes properly so we had to do it twice, charging us double.

Really spacious rooms and clean. They also provided fresh towels which is not the norm with most other hostels but much appreciated! Pretty quick walk from the Firenze SMN train station.

Elevator was next to useless so used the stairs most of the time. Had to pay to keep my luggage for a few hours at the property after checkout.

I was a bit scared when I saw the outside of the hostel, because it looked old and most of all HUGE. But it turned out better than I expected: my dorm (5 beds) was nice and clean, with plugs for each beds and a bathroom for the room. My bed was quite comfortable (except for the sheets which were super thin and hard but eh). The hostel has a pool (which I didn't use) and two terraces, downstairs there is a nice bar with a cool happy hour and events every nights. The location is very close to Santa Maria Novella Station, and great to explore Florence by foot.

This is not the kind of hostel where you can befriend the owners and the others guests super easily (besides your roomates), it is very big so a bit "anonymous". You have to pay 3€ to store your luggage after checking out, which is ridiculous in my opinion.

Amazing localization, room, bathroom and sheets - very clean; it's good there is a lift, it's a very convenient building. I was really glad that there were towels and hairdryers.

Common space, such as bar downstairs, could be designed to be more cosy/inviting, so that it would be nicer to sit there for some time/hours. That would be amazing for people who come to you for their workation. Another thing: when there are 8-people rooms, the system of cards activating the light in rooms is simply not convenient, not functional. E.g. what happened to me: I was using the shower, when someone decided that they have to leave the room and took away their card. The light went off and I had to get out of the bathroom in the dark. Such a solution is just good for hotels, not hostels I guess.

Great place with very central location, very clean and quiet. Good facilities. The hotel/hostel location couldn't be better - a short 8-10 minutes walk from Mercato Centrale and many sights, but just outside the most touristy zone so fewer crowds and quiet. Hotel staff was helpful, nice breakfast buffet and the dorm was comfortable and spacious. Very good value for money.

Very minor issues (take it as suggestions for how to make small improvements) - would be nice if there were basic coat hangers/hooks to hang clothes and towels in the bathroom. Also would be nice with liquid soap for toilet and bathroom sinks (sinks several people in the dorm are sharing the soap) and for the environment it would be better not to give out individual shower gel packages, but have one big bottle of liquid shower gel and shampoo that everyone could use - would save waste.

First of all, this place is HUGE. So it is perfect to meet some oversea friends and chill with them. Swimming pool is bit small but cool, and place has lots of facilities inside. But only two things I was disappointed was Card Key and A/C. The hotel-like system(you should keep your card in the holder to keep electricity on.) was SO annoying. I don’t know about other rooms, but we can’t even charge or use a/c without card in the holder. And even once my roomate took my card instead of his, so I should stay in dark, SUPER HOT room just sweating. Second, the A/C was so weak. We had this strange looking a/c which is like the radiator, and it literally did none of its work. I was sweating every night through my stay.

Location is the main reason for choosing it. I recommend the breakfast too, pretty good choice for the price.

Rooms are not so cozy. At your leaving, the storage of your luggage is payable.
