Stunning location, exclusive access to the cristal clear sea. Oversized swimming pool with salt (sea) watering two jumping boards, relaxing atmosphere, helpful staff. The hotel is in a walking distance from the town (Lipari) and hundreds of restaurants, cafes and the harbour. The hotel provides a free shuttle service on arrival and on departure.

breakfast becomes problematic after the first group - heading for trekking - had their, and this is early in the morning. Some more fresh and local fruit, vegetables, cheese, honey would be very welcome, Overall the quality of the restaurant is not at the height of the hotel. Beds are all singles, just put together, mattresses are soft, pillows are too high. Overall it looks aged, and maintenance conditions are basic.

Breakfast lacks of fresh local fruit, fresh local cheese, local marmalades and local honey, some poor organization. The kitchen is not at the height of the location. Small wardrobe, simple furnitures in the rooms, all of them are standard, with few exceptions. very dated furnitures and services, minimum level of comfort in soft beds, all double beds have two single mattresses.

The view from our room over the ocean was great. Sure, the hotel has a 60's/70's aesthetic but that's its charm - it completely matched my expectations and was similar to the standard of other accommodation we had in Sicily. Great pool, great food and staff went above and beyond to make it a great stay.

Apparently the transfers to town used to be free (according to the friends who were staying with us). We visited town a number of times and the hotel couldn't always take us so we used taxi's. More transfer availability would be highly valued - potentially making them free again.

Words and pictures don't do justice. This was not only one of my favorite places in Italy, but one of the most breathtaking experiences I've ever had. 1-they had their driver come to meet my lady and I at the port for pickup and drop-off to and from hotel. 2-the staff was professional, kind, accommodating, and friendly.(they upgraded our room when we checked in) 3-the breakfast was all anybody could ask for with freshly baked pastry as well as refreshing fruits that helped us start our days off right. 4-the other guests that were at the hotel were some of the coolest people I've ever met in my life. 5- and I'll sum it up with this. YOU WILL NOT GET A BETTER VIEW OR PRIVATE ACCESS to the water like You do here. Ignore any other bad reviews because those people don't know what they are talking about. This place is a hidden gem that you NEED to experience. Ciao.

I didn't like how some haters had bad things to say about this place. It was a pleasure and I'd gladly return.

The structure is wonderful, very well located - 10min walk from the center of Lipari. Easy access to everything while staying in a peaceful place fare from the busy streets and with a break-taking view. The view is impossible to describe, you will have to come to see it! in front of you, the blue of the sea and on your side the beautiful Lipari village and it’s harbor. The structure is not new and was built in the 70th but current renovations are giving it a fresh look while keeping the spirit of the original structure. The beautiful garden with the giant cactus, aloe, trees, the ceramic on the floor, the decoration, the furnitures, the old-style bar bring you in a timeless atmosphere where you can disconnect from time and stress. The staff is very “accogliente” and proud to work at the place. Ernesto will prepare you favorite cocktails by the pool while putting some music, Coldplay is one of his favorite and fits perfectly with the place. Renzo and Danilo at the restaurant will make sure you have anything you need for your breakfast or your dinner in front of the sea. You can clearly see the passion of the team to make you feel at home and make your stay unforgettable. We warmly thank the whole team for their dedication and work for this week in May.

This was our second time staying at Carasco and it was as wonderful as - if not better than, the first. The staff - especially the restaurant and bar pool, are so lovely. Super friendly and helpful. They bring a wonderful energy to the place. It was also lovely to meet resident Hermione again - she is so welcoming and helpful. The hotel grounds are beautiful. We had the most amazing views from our room - which was kept super clean. The private access to the sea is so dreamy. The food in the restaurant is lovely - especially the spaghetti with clams. I cannot imagine we’d ever want to stay anywhere else on Lipari.

A couple of members staff at the desk are quite mardy - do not smile or make you feel very welcoming. But just two - everyone else is lovely.

Best thing in this hotel is definitely the amazing seaview you can admire from the rooms but also from breakfast and bar. Also the private beach was definitely something else. The beach is small and deep but it is gorgeous. Water is clear blue and you can snorkel and see a lot of fish. Also the rooms are a little a bit better than in the pictures but as the hotel is old some refurbishing is needed. The garden is lovely. The staff at the reception and breakfast were friendly and helpful. I recommend to note that not all the rooms have private balconies as based on the pictures you can assume.

In the pool bar the service was not so good.

the location is incredible. the first night we were there we saw a meteor cross the sky while listening to the ocean lapping the cliffs below. the swim spot is amazing with lots of fish and sea life when snorkelling. the staff are so friendly and make the stay incredible

there are a few elements that need to be updated but it all adds to the charm

The hotel is spectacularly beautiful, in its location climbing up from the rocky shore, and its construction of many stone arcades and terraces, fringed by flowers; with a fine view along the coast to the citadel 1 km away. Our room was fabulous: all very comfortable and clean, with a balcony overlooking the sea, so we could sleep to the sound of the waves. The hotel sent a driver to collect us at the ferry terminal on arrival, but after that we usually enjoyed walking to and fro and exploring the old town on the way. The staff were all lovely people, all very helpful and friendly. This time in May, near the end of the pandemic, was relaxed as the hotel was almost empty, until a party arrived for the weekend; but apparently this is normal for May. The restaurant was very good: dinner featured original recipes with tasty food. Breakfast was one of the best ever: a lavish, delicious buffet including masses of freshly baked pastries.

Nothing. But we did take a taxi into town in stormy weather when the waves of the sea were meeting a stream of rain runoff at a point on the access road!

Hairdryer still the same wall attached that I used thirty yrs ago. I didn’t realise I could be picked up from the ferry . That needs to be clearer
