We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Montepiana. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived by train and the hotel is a few blocks from the station. The hotel is on a quiet street, but a few blocks away is a street with many restaurants and a park where there were food trucks and a stage with music performances in the evenings. The neighborhood seems safe, and it was convenient to take the train (or bus) into Venice for a day of sightseeing. It is possible to take a bus to the airport from near the train station, but we had enough luggage that we opted to take a taxi. Breakfast was not included in the room charge, but there was a nice continental breakfast available at the hotel for a reasonable price. AC worked fine and bathroom was clean and functional.

If you must have everything fancy and brand new it might not satisfy you, but everything was clean and functional so it was fine for us.

The hotel is located near the train station, so it was easy to get there and from the train station to Venecia. Also, there is a bus stop near the hotel so it was easy to get back from Venecia by bus the night (bus route number was 2). The hotel let to park our car in their personal yard, it was crowded, but somehow we managed to fit our car there.

We were able to hear people from the other rooms, but we were so tired, that we just fell asleep really quickly, even though we were able to hear people from the other rooms.

Location good, only 5 mins walk & you have several small supermarkets, cafes & frequent buses to Venice itself. Host Angelo was exceptional, very friendly & nothing was too much trouble for him. Bedroom was a decent size, with simple traditional furniture, everything very clean. Continental breakfast was very good & well presented.

Shower was very small. Bedroom decor could be improved & we did find the beds uncomfortable & hard. An upgrade on mattresses should be looked at for a good nights sleep.

The location is great when there are no options in Venice, but if you bring lots of luggage don't stay in Venice. Any rolling suitcase is inconvenient in Venice to be honest. Mestre is a better option since you take the metro which is quite close to the hotel. There is a good coffee shop 2 blocks from the hotel that opens early and the best Chinese food I ever eaten.

The staff was helpful, but they didn't have a lot of amenities, like for example extra blankets or cups. Parking was difficult, however it was on site and safe.

Great location. It is in the silent street in 10 minutes walk from the Mestre rail station. Very good team! All are extremely polite and always ready to help. The room was pretty good and quite big. They cleaned the room on daily basis, and changed towels even if we did not asked. The room was soundproof from the street but not from the common corridor - we could hear loud noises and voices when people came in and went out. We did not order the breakfast and took one for extra payment. It is typical Italian - too sweet. But they also could propose only coffee at a regular price and that became a good option for us.

There is no tea pot in the room - it would be good to have it. But they are ready to provide you with hot boiled water and you do not need to go out each time. Soundproffing of the room could be better.

Despite the proximity to the train station (5 min walk), the area is very quiet. Shops for daily supplies are a few streets away. The room and the toilet are clean, the sanitary facilities work perfectly, the linen is very clean and fresh.

As for decorating the room ... well, this is a bit simplistic. The furniture is a bit outdated, no refrigerator in the room (at least that was the case in our room with 3 beds) and most disturbing, the walls have not been painted for a very long time. A large area of the wall at the entrance was smoky because of the radiator (probably) - totally unpleasant. You will find the same outdated look in the hallways and in the reception area. So a bit expensive for what it offers.

I liked that the room had 4 beds (for our family), air conditioning and wifi. I liked the staff that was very responsive, serviable and helpful. It is the possibility to take breakfast (5 eur/pers): yogurt, milk, coffee, tea, croissant, butter, melted cheese, jam, honey. We had also free parking in the courtyard.. The connection to Venice was very good, with a bus from yhe end of the street.

I did not like that we had to leave the key of the car to reception. The courtyard was small and they had to move the cars. The shower was very small and the doors of the shower did not close well.

Everything was really good, starting with the location (one way street, very quiet), followed by the staff which was really friendly and helpful. Also the room was a good size, the facilities were OK (towels off all sizes, good sized beds and a good sized wardrobe).

The only thing that could be improved is the furniture which is old, the TV which was small and the shower cabin which was also small. But since the price was very good, I cannot complain about this.

2 stars hotel, so you can not expect 5 stars, but... The best location, near bus and train stop (1-2 min. - walking distance), in a very safe and nice neigbourhood. Cca 10 minutes from Venice with bus. From train station near hotel you can go to Venice, Verona etc... The staff is polite, helpfull and hotel is clean, comfortable bed... We even had a great surprise, balkony in our room. Hotel have a few free parking spots, we parked our car there. Great value for money!

A bit small shower cabin, but it was not the problem for us, it was comfortable.

Room and bed, bathroom was very clean. Every day someone came into the room to clean, to replace used soap or to throw garbage. I think even changed our towels and it is rated only 2 star. I think it is over 2 star. Reception is very helpful, they accept to keep your luggage if you leave later than the check out hour. The room has air conditioner and a tv, no fridge. The bathroom has towels, soap, hair dryer and toilet paper. It is very close to supermarkets, train station less than 10 minutes and 5 minutes from bus station to Venice. Very quiet location. 10 minutes away from the bus station that drives you to Treviso Airport.

Room needs fresh paint.
