My sisters and I stayed for one night prior to our flight. We were upgraded upon check in and stayed in a lovely historic room with lovely details. This location was within 10 minutes of a food tour we had booked and many historical sites. The staff was very helpful throughout our brief stay as well as assisting with booking transfers from the port and to the airport.

Each of the rooms had wonderful A/C however the common spaces of the hotel were quite warm. As we were visiting in August and this is an old historic building we were not put off, but just a note for those visiting in the warm months.

The room size, modern room, the ceiling of the breakfast area and the friendly staff. On arrival we were met and he gave us a tour round the hotel. I love the reading area.

The scary entrance to the property and there was no price list for the mini bar (but we was not charged for the can of coke we used). The breakfast was rather poor (no fresh orange juice - this is Italy), the eggs had clear runny liquid between yoke and whites and no cooked mushrooms, sausages or condiments.

The property is beautiful and the restoration of the building is done so thoughtfully. It blended modern comfort with the beauty of the original building. Comfortable, clean and a friendly staff made it a great first stop on our trip. Also I continue to think about their breakfast every morning, as it was by far the best we’ve had on our trip. The location is on a very busy road but easy to get to and quiet as it’s set back from the street. The staff was extremely kind and very communicative. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again! But seriously… don’t skip the breakfast!

The hotel is comfortable enough and well located

the facilities weren’t great for the price. Our toilet seat was broken and the shower area had cracks and marks on the floor. The breakfast spread is small and very unappetizing. Housekeeping never replaced our toiletries so we were using the shower gel to the very last drop towards the end. The hotel shares the building with other businesses which made entry and exit an uncomfortable experience. The main door to the building would be locked every day after 7 pm and hotel guests were expected to enter a code and crawl through a tiny door cut into the main door. Right at the entrance after you enter through this tiny door we saw a porta potty, and what seemed to be construction material.

A lovely historical property-old world charm with modern amenities. The staff is kind, helpful, and accommodating. The breakfast is exceptional and the dining room is beautiful-highly ornamented ceiling, comfortable seating. Comfortable bed, nice bed linens, spacious bath made out stay pleasant. The staff was professional-expertly arranging for airport transfer and even generously packing a take away breakfast since we had an early flight. Our experience was wonderful

Only one thing was a bit challenging. The small door in the massive door on the street was narrow and low, making it difficult to enter with baggage.

My stay at Relais della Porta was amazing, it surpassed my expectations. The location is perfect to visit and get to know beautiful Napoli, close to many of the city's highlights. The breakfast is very complete and delicious, and the atmosphere is really beautiful. The ceiling in the breakfast area is a historical landmark, with really beautiful frescoes. Truly captivating. And last, but not least, the staff at the hotel are really dedicated professionals, always available to assist and make one's stay to be impecable. I would like to particularly acknowledge Ester for her dedication, charm and availability at all times. It was a pleasure to be received by her, she was helpful at all times and just a wonderful hospitality professional.

I didn't like that the building where the hotel had ongoing works - at times it was noisy – but these works are necessary, so nothing that the hotel can do about it. Once they are done with them, it will be perfect. The internet did not work great, but we were there for tourism, so it did not matter much.

The hotel is in a wonderfully historic building and has so much character! The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was expansive and served in a beautiful room. There was a baby grand piano in the conservatory that my son loved playing. Rooms were very well appointed and very comfortable.

The location is on a Main Street and a little difficult to find. If you book here, know that it is directly across from the most American restaurant, KFC—ha! The big doors close at 7pm, so you have to enter through a cute little door inset into the big door—nothing I’ve seen in my other travels—neat.

The contact from the hotel from the moment of booking was exceptional. I was contacted regularly to provide information, suggest tours, transport etc. All very helpful. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Right next to the old town and on the third floor of a former palace. Quirky and with personality the hotel has been fitted into the old fabric of the building very well. The rooms are well thought out with good bathrooms and the integrity of the architecture has been maintained in the common areas. A good breakfast buffet each day. Our stay felt so much more authentic than in a chain hotel. Would definitely recommend.

Relais Della Porta is just fantastic!! Secretly hidden behind an ancient barn style doorway and up several levels, you leave the huddle and bustle of Via Toledo (Main Street) behind and can relax in the very private hotel which occupies several levels of the building. Staff are impeccable with their service and kindness and were happy to (and skilful enough) to explain everything to us in perfect English. An excellent breakfast and access to coffee machine was included in our stay in the hotel’s attached ancient dining room which we were given a tour and explained the history on arrival. Our room was inwards facing which was very well appointed, clean and comfortable. At the time there was some scaffolding work taking place right outside the balcony window which blocked any view of the below courtyard. There was nothing wrong with the room but after our first night we enquired if an outwards facing room was available in order to see more of the street life. The receptionist kindly informed us that we could be moved to the 5th floor with more of a view. Well, the result was AMAZING! 180 degree views looking back towards the main hillside and Castel Sant’Elmo, across the city roof tops and down to the buzzing street below. Thank you Hotel Relais Della Porta for an unforgettable experience of Napoli. Would highly recommend.

Super nice host, very friendly and informative even though we were a bit late due to delayed flight. Complimentary Champagne in the room for our wedding anniversary! Lots of useful and helpful information sent by whatsApp before arrival. Great breakfast in fantastic venue. Extremely good location in the very center of the city. 10/10 price for value!

Some minor details that could be fixed, like loosen wall lamp, bigger mirror, walls look a bit empty in such huge room (45m2), but service level of the host is so excellent, so you don't really upset about some minor things :-))
