Great, stylish hotel in the very heart of Palermo! The hotel has its own parking, which really comes in handy in a city like Palermo, where (legal) parking sports are extremely hard to find. Tip: If you come by car, be aware that the hotel will only register your car to legally enter the old town for the date of arrival and the date you leave. If you are going to use the car in between those days, you need to buy a coupon with a code (get it at the reception or tobacco shop next door), which allows you to register access to the old town one day per coupon. Better ask the receptionist about this yourself to ensure they won't forget or you will get a fine plus administrative fees from the car rental company. We barely avoided this fate as the night receptionist made us aware at the very end of the day. Phew! Also be aware that to reach the hotel you have to drive through a pedestrian street. For this reason your GPS will be unable to guide you to the hotel (you must reach the hotel via the pedestrian street of Via Vittorio Emanuele by driving through the old city gate of Porta Nuova, Porta Nuova being what you should input into the GPS).

The property looks tired and needs an upgrade for sure. Breakfast is just ok.

The property is located centrally next to the Four Comers. It is ideal for exploring Palermo. It is 10mins walk to Palermo Central train station which connects u to the airport and also other villages should u wish to explore. We went day trip on the train to Cefalu - nice beach and great day out- 1 hour journey by train. Another street off the hotel leads u to the shops designers- Gucci, and high streets stores- Zara. Plenty restaurants only 2 mins walk, there is an Italian pasta place across the road. Finally its near all the markets Capo, Ballaro and Vucciria. The diplomatic suite was large for our family of four and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good but we only stayed a few days, if u stay longer its the same menu every day. Didnt use gym or terrace as plenty to do close to hotel. especially evenings lots of bars, and ice cream shops to hang out. Area close by hotel felt safe. Staff nice and helpful.

The hotel is located in the city centre of Palermo and is close to many main and important sites. Quattro Canti and Fontana Pretoria are the nearest. The Cathedral of Palermo is also a few 100m away , in the same street. We were in Palermo very near to the feast of Santa Rosalia and the street (Via Vittorio Emanuele) was decorated with lights for the feast and the atmosphere at night in the area, was exceptional. I recommend the hotel not just for the location but mostly for the excellent staff at the reception who were always ready to answer any questions and help us in any queries we had. Also, the breakfast was great and I definitely recommend trying their Sicilian cannoli with a coffee or capuccino. They are just delicious!

Great location for most sites, stylish common areas (breakfast room ceiling frescoes impressive), lovely staff, helpful and professional, very comfortable beds.

Easy to get lost in the warren of floors, half floors and corridors; atrocious cool-white lighting in rooms and corridors (why not warm-white as in common areas?); fixed external window blinds block a lot of light and internal blinds do not fold within the space between primary and secondary glazing making rooms needlessly dark. The hotel could be spectacular but would need a fortune spending on it - everything is dated.

Unrivalled location in the heart of Palermo. The entrance, lobby and general ambience is great- slightly over the top 80s/90s glamour- spacious with lots of seats and places to hangout. The staff are friendly and efficient. Good air-conditioning throughout. We didn't have breakfast there or use the dining room so can't comment on this.

The room decor/fittings are looking a little tired- they had their heyday back in the 80s and some of the facilities maybe need an update- in particular the bathroom. The toilet flush kept jamming on flush mode- we got quite skilled at pulling the button out. The bathroom door got stuck and we were too timid to push it open as the door frame started wobbling- we had to call the concierge. The shower is a bit underwhelming- both in terms of fittings and pressure. The tiling has clearly had a spruce up but it wasn't that well done.

Very central and convenient location. Room was quiet and had its own little terrace. The restaurant is in a beautiful spot. Food so so for the price. Outside is a madhouse but handy to everything.

No A/C and room was very warm. We had to sleep with the door to the terrace open and had a mosquito in the room. They said they would bring a fan and fix a light but neither happened. Hotel breakfast was in nice room but not worth it. Pastry everywhere nearby is much better

If you get a chance, grab this hotel and don’t even think twice. It’s a gorgeous place, so beautiful! It’s old, yes, but it’s situated in a palazzo. You want to look at every corner, every room in this beautiful building. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They’ve upgraded our room because it was our wedding anniversary- very nice gesture. The breakfast was hands down the best I had in my life, hotel or not- the variety, the quality, the taste- everything was outstanding! We also enjoyed a dinner in a hotel’s restaurant on the roof- the food, the view- it was a marvelous experience. I could go on and on, loved the place!

This is my go- to place in Palermo. The rooms are comfy, the breakfast is ridiculously good and the staff are excellent and so helpful. Plus the location is perfection for sightseeing or just walking everywhere in Palermo. This is why I come back again and again. And extra added bonus is that it has a historic and opulent feel that fits in with the center of Palermo so much. It feels like you are part of the history of the city and for our family, that's a real bonus.

My only recommendation is to have an iron or steamer in the room for help with wrinkled clothes but I believe this is uncommon in European hotels.
