The room was very spacious with an amazing view and cute terrace overlooking the water as shown in the images. The owner was very friendly and woke up early to make us a delicious breakfast with fresh croissants, eggs, fruit, and more before our early travel.

Make sure you look into the Mobility Amalfi Coast shuttle schedule to get around Positano if you are staying up here. We walked 50 minutes uphill to get here the first time, but after arrival the host told us about the Mobility AC shuttle and everything was much easier!

Our stay in Positano was truly unforgettable! The terrace offered breathtaking, postcard-worthy views, and the accommodation was both cozy and exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast served in the morning was not only delicious but also lovingly prepared with great attention to detail. What made the experience even more extraordinary was the host’s warm hospitality and genuine kindness, which made us feel right at home. Every aspect of our stay came together seamlessly, creating cherished memories that we will always treasure. If I have the chance to visit Positano again, I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Our stay at Casa Maria Grazia in Montepertuso, a hilltop getaway in Positano, Italy was an experience of a lifetime. One can easily walk to The II Ritrovo, a five-star restaurant with terrace views of the amazing Amalfi coastline, specializing in authentic family recipes like grilled octopus. Also close is “The Path of God” an ancient path that connects the little towns along the rugged hillside offering breathtaking views besides homes with beautiful gardens dotted along the way. The bus stop was close for transportation to and from the town of Positano. Our host Michael provided delightful abundant breakfasts that included fresh squeezed orange juice from his garden, custom made just for you! Also included were delicious fresh croissants and cappuccinos. The room includes a large comfortable king bed, closet and drawer space and a bathroom with shower off the deck with a captivating view a quiet and peaceful location. We were so grateful for Paisia who helped us feel very welcome and so kindly assisted us with answering our questions and helping us with our lovely visit to the Amalfi Coast. Also, Michael, so wonderfully, came to our rescue driving us to Sorrento to catch a train to Naples as it turned out the ferries were not running on our departure day. Nothing like having ‘arch angel Michael’ in your ‘back pocket’ to rescue the ‘maidens in distress’.

We wish we had more time to stay.

The apartment is set in Montepertuso which is above Positano. You can reach it by bus that goes to Nocelle and will take you about 20-40 minutes, depending on the traffic. If the buses are full (which they can be during high season) you can always take the stairs which are a nice scenic route, and the walk is 40-60 minutes. When we arrived with suitcases we took a taxi which was 40€ but I would recommended it since the busses are small. The apartment has a big bed and a big terrace which is shaded for most of the day. You will communicate with Paisia, and she responds rapidly and is there to help you with anything you need. She arranged a taxi for us when we were leaving, and answered all of our questions. Our host was Michele who waited for us and was the one that was making breakfast every day. I forgot to ask him where he gets his tomatoes from but they were possibly the best tomatoes I ever had. Every morning he would make a Caprese salad for us which was much better than the one we had on Capri. He also made us fresh coffee, brought fruit, pastry which he would fill with chocolate spread or jam, depending on your choice, fruit yogurt, orange juice, etc. He can also make other things and you can arrange it with him. He also understands and talks English pretty well so there were no problems there as well. He was a gracious host and made us feel welcome.

Montepertuso is a small village so there isn't much to do there, so if you want to take it easy go for the day, take a short walk, sight see and grab a coffee on the road, this isn't a place for you and you better stay in Nocelle or Praiano. However, if you want a quiet place away for the crowds of Positano, it's perfect for that.

A really beautiful, private place with the most amazing view of the beaches and the mountains. The room was comfortable and the host is a very wonderful person who was extremely helpful throughout. Provided a welcome platter of fruit and champagne for when we first got there. Just a great experience overall!

The parking at this location is really hard to get into so the smaller your car the better. It is very secure though so no safety concerns. The shower does also leak out some water into the bathroom but a towel down will solve that problem easily.

We were blown away by our stay in Casa Maria Grazia! The views from the house are simply breathtaking. The room is clean and spacious and leads our to a large balcony overlooking the area. Our host delivered a lovely breakfast every morning that we enjoyed on our balcony whilst taking in the incredible surroundings. We spent lots of time both at night and during the day stood outside mesmerised by the beauty around us. I would happily recommend Casa Maria Grazia to anyone visiting.

The property is roughly a 20 minute bus ride outside of Positano town itself. However, it is in a beautiful area with fabulous restaurants. We loved how peaceful the area was in comparison to how busy Positano was. However, if you want to be within walking distance of Positano itself, if most likely will not suit you.

The location and view 10/10 if you want to get away from the large crowds this is the place. You are steps away from Positano. The breakfast was a spread and truly made with love and sets you up for the day . There are really nice restaurants a stone throw away. Our favorite was Donna Rosa. A nice touch is there is free parking but please note it’s easily accessible by bus that goes on the hour from Positano.

The coverage in the area is not great but there is wifi to do important things

The room was huge! The daily breakfast was enormous. Having free parking not far was excellent. The owner met us at the parking and took my bag for me, which was lovely. We struggled to communicate a little at first as we have no Italian and the owner has very little English, but a few smiles and gestures and we had a new friend. The balcony has a wonderful view down to Positano itself. We walked down the stairs a couple of times and bussed back up. This was a great place to stay and we’re grateful the owner shared his home with us

Nothing to dislike

our hosts were exceedingly gracious. they picked us up in Positano after i had neglected to alert the bus driver where we needed to be dropped off. we sent them our location and ten minutes later they came with a car to fetch us.

the heat was a bit lacking and the room, which was quite spacious, would benefit from a desk. on the other hand, in warmer weather, the terrace would provide a stunning setting for work.

In summary, amazing place, amazing host. We arrived by car and they have private parking space which is very useful in this area. There is a bus stop nearby and the bus takes you to the center of Positano in 20 mins. It was convenient to avoid driving down there ourselves because the road is really narrow. We had an amazing breakfast with an exceptional view. Our host was very kind and helpful. The view from the balcony was so beautiful.
