Stairs The AC wasn't working properly

Marco and Paisia are phenomenal hosts. The property is very cosy and the view is stunning. The room was large, had a balcony and the bed was good. Breakfast was delicious. It's a quiet place on top of a hill, away from the crowds. There are good restaurants relatively close. The property is clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed talking to Marco and Paisia about life in Positano. They really made us feel at home. Good place for an auhentic local experience. We'd love to come back again!

We loved our stay, but mind you that this is not for everyone. There's no way to avoid the 400 steps - that's 5 to 10 minutes of stair climbing. So, if you do choose this place, make sure to pack light! It's also a bit removed from the city center and the beaches - you can get there by foot, bus or car, but it takes some time. If you must have everything at your doorstep, this might not be the place for you.

Our hosts were warm and welcoming and always went out of their way to make us comfortable. We can't thank them enough for sharing their beautiful home with us. Our breakfast was outstanding every day and were met with wine in the evenings upon our return to the Villa. Their View is nothing short of spectacular. If you want an authentic experience, this is it! Not to mention, their dogs are just the sweetest!!!

We really didn't mind the stairs and we knew upfront that there were allot to climb to get from the road to the Villa. Once again, the views, the property and the hosts were well worth the climb!

It located up high in a very tranquil gorgeous area above the beaches. The vineyards and gorgeous greenery that surround this villa are so relaxing and romantic. The inside is impeccable and Paisia and Marco are the most kind hospitable hosts ever! Horos and aria are their gorgeous huskies that warmed my heart from the second I arrived making me feel like I was home. The attention I got was like no other- they make every effort to welcome you and treat you like a family!

Our stay at Colle dell’Ara absolutely exceeded expectations. The hosts Paisia and Marco are lovely and very accomodating. Everything about the room was perfect. The view is spectacular, easily one of the best views in Positano. They have a lift for your bags so you do not have to carry them up the 398 steps. Trust me though, the stairs are worth it for the view! The breakfast included was delicious, fresh omelette every morning with Crossaints, donuts and many other things!! The place is situated very close to a bus stop and that bus takes you into the centre of Positano. Their two dogs Arya and Horus both very cute too, two huskies is a bonus to your stay :). Thank you Colle dell’Ara we would absolutely stay here again.

The place was lovely and had gorgeous views, the room was spacious with a big washroom and a lovely little balcony. The patio was perfect to relax in the evening. The owners and staff were beyond hospitable, and we loved the dogs. The breakfasts were out of this world delicious and there was so much food! The winch to bring up and down your luggage was very welcome.

The location, while beautiful, was quite challenging to get to, the infrequent (1/hour) buses would regularly drive past as they were always full. Impssible to hail a cab. If you choose to walk all the way down to the town, bring water, its a long way with very little shade. The stairs (398!) from the street to the accommodation were really daunting, enough that you would think twice about making the journey more than once or twice a day max. The ad stated laundry facilities but there were none available. The bedroom didn't have the greatest internet connection and there was no television, if that sort of thing bothers you.

A beautiful location high above the city. Easy access from local bus with reliable and timely service down to Positano. Marco was amazing and catered to our needs. His food was delicious and truly appreciated our time in his home.

Gorgeous island-top property, with AMAZING views! Delicious, filling breakfast, comfortable bed and cool view when waking up! The host is engaging and funny, the area is very nice to walk down to this small village, Montepertuso, outside Positano. We had two amazing dinners there. We are reasonably active and have stayed at many properties with a lot of stairs or hiking. We found the stairs doable if you weren’t in a hurry and took some breaks. It became easier as the stay went on. We also brought only backpacks and personal items, which made it much easier. The view when you get to the top, the kind and charming staff, and the comfortable stay was well worth it all.

Breakfast was so yummy. The room was so nice with the comfiest bed ever! The room was really dark at night with the blinds shut, so had a great sleep and lovely and bright in the day, with the perfect view!! Such nice touches from the host such as dinner recommendations, water on arrival, coffee with breakfast etc. Thanks for a great stay x

The stairs were hard but worth it for the beautiful view and we were given water at the top every time which was so kind.

The couple who run this property (Marco and Paisia) are the sweetest couple in all of Positano. They waited on us hand and foot for our entire stay. The hospitality was traditional in that you felt like you were staying with family rather than at a B&B. This hospitality is something that has been lost in many other places. I spent the first day working from outside the B&B and Paisia brought me some lunch that she had cooked for herself, then a coffee and then wine in the evening - for nothing! Marco even gave my dad the change needed for the bus asking for nothing in return. There are plenty of steps going up to the B&B, but it’s a great workout after all the Italian food that you will stuff your face with and the views from the B&B are heavenly - well worth the climb! They also have two adorable dogs to make the stay even cuter. Thanks so much for everything you two! We will be back!
