Our stay was really comfortable and The villa has an amazing view of the sea and coast line. The pool has jets and a bench to sit on. The villa has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The beds were very comfy and the aircon works well. Check in was easy and Pietro was helpful throughout our stay. Great communication from Angelica. The bus is a necessity as it would take over an hour to walk down to Positano in the heat and you definitely couldn’t walk up it unless you were really fit. The bus takes 20 minutes on a good run and is only 2 euros. They come once or twice an hour. There’s a nice shop and 2 restaurants within a 2 min walk of the villa. We hired a car from Naples airport and drove down which I don’t recommended. The roads are narrow and winding and Italians live up to their fast driving reputation. We’re very glad that we stayed in Nocelle as it’s quieter than Positano.
I didn’t mind but others might struggle with the steps. There’s lots of steep steps in this coastal area so make sure you’re fit and able enough. Again, I didn’t mind, but others might wish to know that you can’t view the classic positano buildings view from the villa. There are other buildings in front of the villa but a clear view of the sea.

This property is incredible. Tucked away in the cutest little area with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The staff was attentive and helpful. Pleasant of space for a group. All the restaurants right there are amazing. Such a hidden gem!
Few things to note which did not change how great our experience was, just a heads up, Wi-fi is very patchy often not working for us at all. It is out of town and although there is a bus the buses get PACKED. Shoulder to shoulder, the driving is crazy and it is hot. So if you get car sick, game over! Also you are surrounded by beautiful nature which brought a good amount of bugs inside. If spiders or other crawlers spook ya, definitely stay in the upstairs room!

We loved how nice the property was, and how helpful the host was with providing recommendations and arranging transport from Naples for us. The property was also very nice and clean- and felt luxurious
The mattresses were kinda hard and cheap, we all had trouble sleeping and we generally prefer hard beds but these were tough to sleep on. Also getting too and from positano was a pain in the arse, not the host’s fault- but worth noting in a review for future guests

We stayed at Ville Olimpo for 3 nights. It was beautiful. The plunge pool and views were a highlight, as well as the wonderful hospitality of Mateo & Co. We were able to get early checkin, and Mateo even carried our bags from the car park to the ville. When the washing machine wasn’t working Mateo even did our washing for us! The ville is right on path of the gods, we would use the path to walk down to Positano but would catch the bus back upon return. The walk is quite steep so be prepared, and the bus can get busy, and comes about every hour. Whilst the Ville Olimpo is 5km from Positano, there is a nice restaurant, & small supermarket nearby. We divided our days between spending time in the ville by the pool, and walking/busing into Positano to spend the day by the beach. The supermarket isn’t always open so make sure you cater for this. Would recommend and stay again!

We are a family of 5 and the Villa was perfect for our 4 night stay. Beautiful views from the Villa and along the Path of the Gods which runs through Nocelle. Lovely restaurants in close proximity to the Villa. We used the bus service which runs every hour into Positano. The owners kept in contact throughout our stay.
There were only 4 sun loungers, we requested another one and this was delivered within the hour.

Beautiful views away from the hustle and bustle of Positano. Quiet retreat. It was so nice to have two excellent restaurants nearby to walk to and a small mini market nearby for a few supplies. My 3 kids loved their room and their own little space on the bottom floor. Lots of space for a family of 5! Host accessible and helpful. Highly recommend arranging a driver if coming from another city as it is difficult to navigate roads and luggage to reach villas in the hills.
It’s a process getting to / from Positano from the villa. But getting around Positano is difficult for anyone with its small and windy streets. You just have to have expectations that it takes time and work to get to and from town (you can take local bus, which is easy to catch but hot and crowded; or you can walk down steps but you need to be fit enough to tackle nearly 2000 steps). You can take a taxi but it is costly. Pool smaller than expected; more of a cool down tub.

The location is gorgeous. It’s one of the most beautiful and serene place I have ever been. Angelika is so sweet, we checked in late but she’s so nice to wait for us without extra charges. Matthew as well is no nice and helpful.
It’s bit far from Positano downtown. While on our way go the villa, we got lost searching for the property and there’s no signal to make phone calls. We have to search for spot to get a signal, thankfully we found one bar to make a phone call. Wifi is too slow- maybe due to the high location. There’s only one small grocery store close to the villa and prices are quite high. Few restaurants nearby and you need to book in advance.

The property is lovely - the views are incredible! We stayed in the 3 br apartment, which was comprised of two floors - each only accessible by outside. We were a family of four traveling with two children ages 11 and 12. There are lots of stairs as the other reviews say, although they are easy to navigate if you are in basic shape (would be hard for those with limited mobility). The apartment is situated high up above Positano in Nocelle - it’s a 3 min walk to the bus stop (small local bus connecting the towns going up from Positano to Nocelle). The bus comes frequently (every hour most of the day and 2x/hour a few times a day) and was easy to use, although always crowded (takes about 45 min to get down on the bus most of the day due to traffic - would say 20-25 at low traffic times). We took it up from Positano a few times as well, and also did a taxi up one night as we didn’t want to wait on the bus after a long day. You can also hike down to Positano, although we didn’t do it - we should have - believe it’s about a 40 - 1 hr walk down. It’s quiet and beautiful views. There are a few restaurants within walking distance (one was closed for remodeling), one where we enjoyed a good dinner, and one was a sandwich place serving lots of hungry hikers coming off the path of the gods with excellent sandwiches and a mini-mart where you can get the basics. We also ate down in Positano a few nights following the day’s activities (whether in Capri, Sorrento, etc.) before heading back up. Angelica was very sweet and available to help ensure our arrival was smooth and to help with restaurant reservations and Pietro was very nice and helpful getting us settled in, helping with luggage, mini-mart and bus info.

It was such a beautiful property up extremely high and overlooks Positano, it is located about 20 minutes out of Positano but is nice to be out of the hustle and bustle. There is a bus you can catch or the host organises taxi drivers to drop you and pick you up. There is a little mini market and a few restaurants around.
Nothing was a great experience overall
