I came here with my sister for a week long vacation and this hotel exceeded our expectations. The price is right, as so many other hotels are soaring in price compared to this. We are celiac, and they had an incredible gluten free breakfast (included in our stay) for us. They even had soy milk behind the bar for cappuccinos in the morning. Upon arrival, we were met with a free aperitivo while they checked us in. The hotel rooms are spread out so you have some privacy. There are many stairs on this property, but if you’re going to visit the Amalfi Coast, I think that’s just part of the equation. They carried our bags to and from our room, which was an amazing gift for us. Room was perfectly clean, had an amazing ocean view, and stocked with a safe and mini fridge. If you want to go down to the ocean, follow the stairs all the way to the sea. You can jump off some rocks right into the water! They have a ladder for easy in and out access. We brought a speaker for music and it was like our own private beach party. Easy access to Path Of Gods Hike (get ready to climb to the start), Positano and Amalfi. The bus stop is literally outside of the hotel and tickets are around 2 euro per person. It was VERY easy to get around by bus and you could be in either city within 15-25 minutes. We were here in May, so I imagine the traffic will only get worse as peak tourist season arrives. Something else to note- you can bring your suitcase on the bus! They have storage under the bus for this. Good to know for budget travelers! This hotel made our stay worth it. If you want to be further away from crazy tourists and general chaos, this hotel is it. Quiet, easily accessible, stunning, a little adventurous if you’re willing to jump off the rocks into the sea, and a very sweet and attentive staff. We will definitely stay again!

We stayed at the hotel Torre Sarracena for 7 nights and we really enjoyed it. This hotel has the perfect location, between Positano and Amalfi, away from the crowd and right next to it there is a little beach, a bus station for Amalfi and Positano. The terrace with the swimming pool was just perfect to relax. The room with sea view was beautiful, cleaned everyday, nicely decorated, comfortable bed and the aircon is a big plus. The breakfast was amazing, great vegetarian options and delicious sfogliatella. The entire staff is extremely kind, very hardworking and helpful, they all speak english and they are very attentive. Big thank you to all of them for our beautiful stay. We really recommend this hotel!

Some tourists were very noisy, however there is nothing the hotel can do 😅

We loved everything about the Torre Saracena - what a magical few days we had! Drinking a cappucino overlooking the sea at breakfast or from our balcony was astonishingly beautiful but what is truly exceptional is the direct access to the sea to swim off of the rocks. The staff are friendly, the hotel is on many levels so feels very small, there is a beautiful terrace with sunbeds shaded by apricot and lemon trees, and there is a bus stop right outside to visit Positano or Amalfi. Priano itself is lovely; much quieter than other towns and a lovely escape from the bustle of the more touristy spots.

Not a problem for us, but you have to be able to cope with steps (but that applies to the whole coast, not just this hotel!)

Regina the Manager was really good and also before and after the holiday, she was most helpful, especially, when I took the keys away and had to post them, back, successfully from Naples. Along the Amalfi coast you have to be prepared for steps, up and down to reach anywhere..... The hotel now has a small swimming pool which was not advertised. The views are breath taking, lovely to watch the boats all day. Capri worth a trip. Postiano not so great as touristy and so many steps...Amalfi better. There are 2 small shops nearby and walking to the beach takes five/ten mins..steps again.. Good restaurants by the beach. Lunch at il Pirata recommended. The hotel offers a breakfast only, but it is of a high standard. The sister hotel restaurant was very good. and they provide a five mins complimentary lift there and back. You can book a taxi via Regina, from Naples airport there and back. Definately needed, rather than pot luck at the airport.

We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back there the next time we go to the Amalfi Coast. The staff could not be more helpful, the views were amazing and the breakfast was the best we’ve had on our 6 week holiday. Praiano is one of the quieter places along the coast and a wonderful place to escape the crowds that are in the other towns. The beach is not far from the hotel and the bus stops right at the door. There is a delightful restaurant connected to the hotel and they happily drive you there and back. The famous inlet of Furore is only a few kilometers away too. We couldn’t ask for anything better.

The location of the hotel was perfect; right outside was the bus stop, the beach and restaurants are only a short walk from the hotel. The staff were incredibly lovely. When we arrived, we were offered a complimentary spritz and chips, which we had on the balcony with the stunning views. We were then taken to our room, which a bottle of sparkling rose was waiting for us. The view from our room (we booked the Superior Double Room with Sea View) was divine - it was breathtakingly stunning. We actually chose to get delivery to the hotel to enjoy the view some nights because it was just as good as going to a restaurant! I have read reviews saying the breakfast is no good, however I thought it was great! A large selection of options including pancakes, pastries, eggs, bacon, cereal etc. Plus you have the beautiful team making delicious coffee for you on request (thank you Rita!)! The fact that the hotel has the private swimming platform was a major benefit and a great alternative to the beach or beach clubs near by. I have read the reviews that said the ladder was broken; don’t worry, the ladder is fixed!

The hotel is old and could use with a good renovation and some maintenance, however this wasn’t a big issue as it was expected when looking at the photos when booking. It is a shame the hotel doesn’t utilise the breakfast balcony for dinners in the evening, it would be a fabulous location for a chilled pizza restaurant!

Amazing location. Perfect for anniversary trip. The cave straight to the med was something else. The beach on the left was our favourite and the closest so very handy. Hotel staff were exceptional. We never went for the upgrade and were glad of it as our room was more private, tucked in the corner. It did have its own little courtyard which more than made up for no balcony. The water pressure was excellent and the beds were clean and comfortable. Bus stop and market on the doorstep too.

The hairdryer kept tripping the switches

We loved the location... quiet ..non touristy area. Bus stop right in front for rides to Positano and Amalfi (very touristy). The views from the terrace and patios are spectacular. Great spa facing the sea. Easy walk to the beach at the marina. Wonderful and friendly staff. Family-run. You get a taste of culture and people there. Powerful AC. Free courtesy ride to a great restaurant nearby.

The door lock needs to be replaced. Some units require walking down by steps.. but some rooms at the top floor. Can ask for either option while booking.

Stunning views from the hotel, loved relaxing on the solarium and the private steps to the sea was amazing. Had some of the best swims down there (be sure to swim to the left around the cliff a bit to see an epic grotto/cave!). Staff were nice and the room was good (basic and a little outdated but all we needed). Great location on the main road linking the towns of the coast, highly recommend hiring a scooter to get around but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel too which is great (can be very packed in summer with no room though). Only about a 25 min scooter ride to Amalfi in one direction or the same to Positano in the other direction. There is also a little beach with beach clubs and restaurants about a 10 min walk away. Buffet breakfast was great with stunning views.

No restaurant on site- we assumed there was based on the photo of the outside table made up at night, but there are plenty of other amazing food options around!

The hotel itself was lovely. The staff were very nice and happy to answer questions. The breakfast was good and the breakfast location was lovely with a view out over the water. This space was also available to hotel guests throughout the day so was a nice place to sit. The room was a good size. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel, so location was good from that perspective. There is a beach area down the hill from the hotel which as bars, restaurants and sun beds for hire. The hotel has a swimming platform down the hill from the hotel itself, but it is a bit of a climb, so we ended up gioing to the beach down the road instead, as it was more accessible. In relation to Praiano, it was really hot while we were there and, pretty much every time you have to go somewhere, you are either faced with a stair climb up or down. The town isn't compact, so getting around takes a bit of walking. There are busses, but when we travelled (July) it was busy, so you could not guarantee being able to get on a bus. They often just drove straight by because they were full. The problem with this is that they came very infrequently. Every 1 - 1 1/2 hours. This is nothing to do with the hotel, we just think it is good to know if you are visiting.

The hotel seemed to need a bit of maintenance and had a bit of a run down feel. Our room had bits falling off the ceiling, which created a mess on the floor. When we mentionedit to staff, they said they had to do maintenance, but hadn't had time. We're not sure how well they cleaned up after this each day as the floor in the room always seemed to be dirty under foot because of this. Despite this, we did like the hotel though.
