This is a charming hotel in the center, walking distance from pretty much of every important sites of Ravenna. The room and bathroom were also very charmingly decorated, spacious, comfortable, clean. The common areas were lovely as well. The breakfast was beautifully presented and actually the best during our two weeks visit in Italy. We consumed this most memorable breakfast in the pretty courtyard. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Lastly the parking was just around the corner, patrolled by a really cute dachshund too. ( there were humans as well).

We loved everything about this place, it was perfect. It was the most comfortable and cozy place we stayed in during our visit in Italy. There was so much attention for details, from the design to every functional element in the room. The room and the bathroom were big and looked even better than the pictures, the bed was so comfortable that we felt bad we only stayed 2 nights. The staff was super friendly and we even met the owner who told us more about how they restored the old palazzo that hosts Casa Gugu today. The breakfast was delightful and the location is a walking distance from every attraction in Ravenna.

Margherita, the manager, was outstanding! All of our questions were answered prior to our arrival and we were blown away by the attention to detail and friendliness once we arrived. The accommodations were authentic yet quite modern and spacious. A perfect blend. The chef, Katiuscia prepared the most delicious cappuccinos and breakfasts! There was a wide selection of delectable breakfast choices. The central location was the cherry on top! We are planning on a return visit!

Our suite and overall stay exceeded our expectations in every way: VERY comfortable beds; minimal street noise; super-clean spacious rooms; housekeeping staff did a superb job; breakfast was well presented and all the food was fresh and delicious. Communicating (in-person and electronically) with the staff was easy and the staff replied promptly. The location was an easy walk from the train station and centrally located for going anywhere in Ravenna. Marguerite is an excellent hostess and a joy to chat with.

Don't change anything!

We stayed in the very large interconnected rooms of the Suite of the casa Gugù, which is very close to the beautiful sights of Ravenna. Loved the decor and bathroom too, but the stand out best thing about this reservation was the owner who went above and beyond to help us find a great restaurant, not necessarily the most expensive but just right for our family, especially when many were closed. Thank you so much.

Thank you for the water but perhaps a kettle too ?

The decor of the room was quaint without being too twee. The bathroom was a good size, with a powerful shower. The room was spotlessly clean (with daily cleaning). The self check in was easy, and we felt that we had a high degree of privacy, but the staff were quick to respond to queries via WhatsApp. Service at the small, but lovingly prepared, breakfast buffet was good with coffees made to order.

Not much wrong with the hotel. In our room the sound insulation was not great (we could hear the next room talking and coughing), and the temperature of the room was also very warm for November (though we could at least open our windows)

We were lucky enough to stay in the suite (the city was busy and there were few options available!). It is basically an entire apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, dressing room, sitting room and a bedroom. It was absolutely enormous! The suite and common areas are beautifully finished and everything is of excellent quality. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. We parked in a private car park located very conveniently just behind the hotel, the hosts have an arrangement with the carpark for a special price for guests. The hosts were fabulous, friendly, hospitable and very welcoming. The hotel is in an excellent location right in the heart of the city but the room was very quiet, and extremely comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Literally nothing!!

Everything was great! The room was amazing, the beds were very confortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. We could cook dinner for the kids very easily. Casa Gugu is in the center of Ravenna, close to many monuments and shops. The people working in Casa Gugu are super nice and very helpful! Breakfast are very good - we had wide range of italian products (salty or sweet options) to choose. We had a great time and our kids absolutely loved the place!

Excellent communication in the days ahead of our visit to arrange automatic check in and entry. Slightly early check in wasn't a problem. Beautiful building and room, which was fully equipped. Oustanding breakfast in the courtyard. Staff so friendly and helpful. Offered free left luggage facility after check out if we wanted to stay longer in Ravenna. Ideal location, ten minutes walk from the station, right on the edge of the centre.

Perfect location close to the train station and in the city center at the same time. We had a spacious suite - absolutely huge space with amazing bathroom and tons of storage room. The breakfast was served in the kitchen with the sitting area outside in the picturesque yard. They served amazing coffee, juices, freshly made sandwiches, pastries, fruits, yogurt, pancakes and what not. All this was presented in a very stylish and beautiful way.
