It was a great experience. The family room/apartment was larger than it looks on the pictures. It had a lot of room. Exquisite and elegant decoration. Just like a palace. Extremely clean. The bathroom was large, well equipped and it had good quality gratuities (soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc). The bed was really confortable and the AC made it wonderful when outside was so hot. It was calm and quiet. It has outdoor space with garden facilites to gather and enjoy some free time. The breakfast had a very good variety, well presented, with nice quality products, including milk and gluten free as we had requested. The hotel is a small walk away from the center plaza. The last but not the least, the host couldn't be nicest and most helpful host we ever encountered. She actually helped us so much solving problems due to luggage/airport/taxis mishaps that it had a huge positive impact in our family vacation. We hope to go back to Ravenna soon and enjoy Martins Residence once more.

EVERYTHING!!! We were blown away from the moment the beautiful blue door opened for us. Such a beautiful place with the courtyard, decor and overall look/feel. Greeted personally and we were helped up to the room and again stunned by how gorgeous and incredibly vast and upscale the space was. We truly felt like we had our own luxury apartment. Older teens travelling LOVED the space and it was so well appointed. Smart TV's allowed them some downtime with Netflix ect. The beds were heaven and best sleep of the entire vacation at this location. Breakfast was fit for royalty and we indulged. Cappuccino was perfecto! We were taking a cruise from Ravenna - this was the perfect place to stay prior. The taxi was called for us and the cost is 40 Euro right the to port. Reasonable given we had 3 passengers and 6 pieces of luggage.

The only little thing that would have made our stay an 11/10 would have been an elevator but can completely overlook that based on how amazing the accommodation and service was. We had help with our luggage up the 1 flight of stairs from the manager. She is so lovely!

This is a five star experience all the way. Until such times as there is a Hyatt Grand in Ravenna I would recommend anyone stay here. Yulia is a fabulous host and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast is expansive and delicious. Everything is within an easy walk and the hotel is a flat ten minutes walk from the train station. There is a very reasonably priced minibar in the bedroom. The old house with the lounge area is beautiful. My wife wants to live there.

There is nothing to dislike except no kettle in the room.

Breakfast was very good, including fresh fruit and pastries. A hot water kettle was provided upon request, although there was a lack of a convenient space to use it without moving it after each use. Room was on ground floor, which was nice after many steps in Venice.

Breakfast was the same every day, which after 4 days is tiresome. Only hard boiled eggs were available, no hot breakfast options. Room seemed smaller than expected, although it did match the pictures. No desk, we had to use a side table moved to the couch, which was too low for comfortable use as a desk chair. Bed was too high for my comfort. One of the side tables could have been replaced with a small desk. Fortunately, the property had a communal library which had tables and chairs.

There is so much to love about this place...I am forced to rate it a 10, all around! From a somewhat ordinary (for Ravenna) street entrance (don't let that fool you) one enters into a veritable renaissance palazzo, with courtyard, rooms and common areas characterised by a sumptuous fusion of paintings, decor, style and detail. Our room, with its ornate colour scheme, plaster work, exquisite paintings and wonderful bathroom, was a delight simply to relax and enjoy for its own atmospheric elegance. Yulia was the most charming, accommodating and helpful host. She and her husband have done an amazing job in renovating and decorating this building. And to experience such a beautiful accommodation, conveniently located to the wonderful monuments, piazzas and buildings that make up Ravenna, made this the highlight of our holiday.

Simple: there was nothing we didn't like.

Beautiful palace. Fabulous comfortable bed with good pillows. Welcoming staff. Good breakfasts

Quite tricky to find the place when we arrived after dark. The whole place looks beautiful, but the shower floor (brown cut tiles) was pretty filthy. The shower and bathroom floor were very slippery and quite hazardous, especially for anyone with à mobility issue. When I asked whether they had a non slip mat for the shower area, the charming Yulia went out and bought one, and suggested we should take it away with us, having no thought that they might in the future have another guest who was less than steady on their feet. This was the only issue we had with the property.

Luxuriously decorated, large room in quiet location right in historic city centre and near main attractions. Beautifully appointed furnishings and generous bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Excellent buffet breakfast. Friendly staff arranged assistance with parking within restricted area. Well exceeded expectations!

A minor criticism due to historic nature of the building , but insufficient accessible power points to recharge devices.

The host was amazing. She checked us in and personally escorted us to our rooms. Showed us the facilities and answered all of our questions. She had great recommendations on food and activities in the area. Toiletries provided. Rooms comfortable and had air conditioning. Host made us excellent coffee in the morning. Breakfast spread was included, had good variety, and was delicious. Our host even called our cab for us in the morning. By far the best place we stayed at during our travels in Europe.

Bed mattress was a little harder than what I am used to, but still more comfortable than anywhere else we stayed during our trip.

The bed was very comfortable. We arrived very late. We had a lot of trouble finding the street signs. It was hard to find the correct location. It is close to the train station. Close enough to walk. The breakfast was huge. Lots of choice. Great place to stay before a cruise.

We could not find street signs to get to the location. Very close to the train station. But very hard to know which way to turn to find the location. The room was a little hot.

This property is very close to almost all the Byzantine mosaics that are registered on UNESCo’s World Heritage List. Anything you are visiting Ravenna to see is within a 10-15 minute walk. Our suite was spacious and beautifully appointed and had every facility you are likely to need for a short stay. The breakfast included with our room was very generous. The communication, hospitality and information supplied by the host Yulia, was Excellent!! Would not hesitate to recommend

Nothing to criticise
