Harry was very kind and accommodating. The rooms were clean and the hotel was very close to the metro and termini.

We spent in At Forty-One three nights during our summer 2024 stay in Rome. The accommodation was perfect in terms of location (walking distance to all major attractions but not in the middle of huge traffic streets), room conditions as well as reception and room service. Apartment was very clean (each day cleaned), with all essential equipment, mini bar, ironing and well air conditionied. On top of that the vintage elevator in which every journey was additional interesting adventure. Breakfast are served in the nearby lovely restaurant with positive staff attitude and home-made focaccia and cakes. At the corner there is typically Italian bar with live music, in which we spent memorable two evenings having party and signing with locals. I highly recommend the stay in At Forty-One during your stay in Rome.

Harry, The attendant at reception was so nice! We had never been to Rome before. He took the time to show us a map of the city and highlight/circle sights and give suggestions. He answered our many questions and took the time to look up info on the computer for us. We are American and had never been to Rome. He gave us a tour of the rooms and explained the key entry process and use of lights using the room key which is not the same in America. The rooms were modern and very clean. Bright and spacious. Each floor has a shared common area which was a nice feature also not typical in America. The common area was roomy with a table, couch, TV and comfy chairs.

The AC didn’t seem to be working the third night we were there. We woke up roasting hot.

October 2023

We stayed in room 404 from 9th of October till 12th of October 2023. I absolutely got wow-effect when entered the room. It is so stylish, comfortable and crystal clean. From the very first step to my new house for four days I felt myself like I’m home. Size of the bed impressed me so much, but quality and duration of my sleep I liked even more. I spreaded myself and even didn’t feel that another person is next to me, so big and comfortable this bed is. One more thing - is attention to details. How surprised I was when saw requested iron and ironing board in the room. It made my stay more comfortable, so next morning I just ironed my cloth and went out neat and beautiful to Italian streets. By the way location is amazing. Almost all historical sightseeings are within walking distance. After exploring historical center it is convenient to return home and refresh yourself before dinner. If you arrive late, definitely you will like “quest” with a key how to open door of you room. All instructions you’ll get by WhatsApp. Few days before At Forty One will send you autonomous check-in detailed information. I want to thank person who constantly kept me informed in WhatsApp chat. Receptionist - very nice guy who was friendly and very professional. Thank you for your attitude to guests. I met small blond lady from Ukraine who is cleaning rooms. I’d like to thank her, she is going great job. She helped me with air condition. Now I know, window should be closed if you want to turn on AC, otherwise it won’t work. Cherry on top is elevator! This is heart of hotel. Before that I had only seen elevators like this in old movies. It is so unique, authentic and aesthetic. Feeling like you are touching history.

Shower cabin is very small. I wish I’d have bigger shower in the room instead of huge jacuzzi. I was using small decoration pillow, big ones aren’t very comfortable for me. But these are just my preferences, because at home I sleep on an orthopedic pillow.

The vicinity of the property and the size of the room is not the usual Italian hotel size, it’s bigger. We love the fact that our room is facing the campanile of the Church, we got to enjoy the view of the street and Italian windows. They could have thought to give a more personalized and elevated service. Prior to booking this hotel, I left a message that there is a special celebration, being it my husband’s birthday - on our check-in day, we did not get any message or anything small just to elevate the service. But overall it’s great, room is modern and you can enjoy both vintage and modern vibe since they have a Stingler elevator.

Excellent staff that took care of us with a simple WhatsApp message; Harry in particular was very professional and friendly. Rooms were as advertised, lacking for nothing. No breakfast at the hotel, but several places within a 2-5 minute walk. Centrally located, about 15 minute walk from main train station (Rome Termini) and within 15-30 minute walk of main major attractions - Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and Colosseum. Short car ride (15 minutes) to the Vatican. Easy availability of taxis (download the IT Taxi app - easy and convenient).

Not much to dislike, but if we had to be picky, it was the very small an d slow elevator, but that's all of Italy from our experience. The elevator though is a 1927 Stigler elevator and was an experience in itself.

The staff very friendly and helpful. The fact that the room was exactly as promised. The separate couch space, the complementary coffee and water. The fct that it was the best soundproof room ever, it felt like we where in co.plete isolation, no outdoor noises. The blackout curtains. The common are waiting space. Very cosy, modern and usefull for wait times. The bathroom and jacuzzi. The bed was big and comfortable. The vintage elevator, felt like traveling back in time. Closeness to Republica metro and to the city center.

We were very pleased with our stay Nothing to complain about

March 2023

I had some concerns about this hotel because there are not so many reviews, but as we did the reservation just some days before the trip, did not have too many options. BUT! Everything was more than fine. The room looks exactly like in the pictures, everything seems to be new, very clean and classy. There is a coffee machine in the room, every day we got capsules, sugar, milk for it. The bathroom is also clean and comfy. There is a well-working hair-dryer(this must be important for girls). The receptionist is nice, friendly, helpful, always ready to help and shares very useful information about the city and transportation possibilities. We got there earlier than check-in time, and when the room was ready, they messaged us via Whatsup, and our luggage waited for us in the room. We got special attention which we never had in any other hotel with the same price category. We skipped the breakfast option (no breakfast at place, you would need to take few steps to San Bernardo restaurant), we rather grabbed something in the corridor in front of the hotel from a Cafe, and did not miss the usual hotel breakfast at all.

I consider the price high because of the location, and not being a "real" hotel. Still good experience. E.g.: It was a bit strange to us, that the building is not entirely the hotel, only few floors belong to the property. We had our keycard which was used to the street door, for opening the main door in our floor, and also for our room. All went smoothly, though. The property is located close to Termini, and Republica metro station, Nazionale/Torino bus stop. We mainly used public transport, or taxi to get back the hotel, so do not expect to step out and immediately be in the middle ancient Rome, but you will be close to it.

Stayed 4 night . What a great stay ! Cozy and compact . Clean & comfortable & spacious ! The room has everything you need , comfortable bed and a nice strong shower . As bonus a bath that it’s cool knowing you have it but at the fact you never use it 😂. Location is great , walking distance to most of sightseeing. 10-15 min from Termini railway station. The receptionist Harry is very professional and helpful with any questions.

Via Torino’! Location, Location, Location ! And it was so cool an apartment! Loved it, amazing secure building with the coolest old lift that the kids loved 😊

It was lovely, well appointed and an awesome bathroom. The staff were just amazing and available on WbatsApp pretty much all the time - they booked everything for us and recommended restaurants which were all different and amazing food and ambiance .,, just brilliant. I remember contacting the team for a last minute booking out of reception hours and apologizing for the last minute request … they simply messaged me back ‘Sir, we are at your disposal’ - My family was extremely grateful and appreciative ❤️
