We arrived around noon and our room happened to be ready, so we were able to check in. All of our requests were met promptly and with a great friendly attitude. The room was very large and had a view down on the center courtyard and was quiet. The floor was spotless, but it is tile, so bring slippers if you don't like walking on cold tiles. Breakfast included both hot and cold items, and a large assortment of pastries and rolls. The grilled tomatoes with parmesan were delicious. They offer dinner also, and we tried it one night and found it quite good. It was an easy walk to either of 2 Metro stations. The chapel that is attached is beautiful, and we were able to attend Sunday Mass there. Be sure to take a look inside and spot the Australian motifs.

Minor issue but would like more counter space in the large bathroom. Tile floors are cold, but slippers or socks take care of that.

The bed was very large and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, also in the halls, stair cases and the restaurant. Breakfasts is very good. The choice is not large, but you can find something sour and something sweet, fruits for vegans, scrumbled eggs and boiled eggs for gluten-frees, and some soussages and bacon for meat eaters. The staff makes a coffee for you for request. Good location - close to the Termini station; many bars, restaurants and ice-cream cafes in the vicinity. Close to the bus stop, where a bus takes you down to the very center in 10 min. Close to Porta Pia and Castra Praetoria walls. 7 minutes walk to the metro station. The building has a history that is somehow connected to the Australian Catholic Church. You can find a lot of photographs and explanations on walls about past events and visitors. In the yard there is a glass-covered small exhibition of a preserved antique floor.

This certainly is not a 4-star hotel. The room was tight, there is no desk and no armchairs in a room, no place to put your laptop or a cup of coffee. The fridge does not cool. In the bathroom there are some not-secured electric cables on the top of the over-sink cabinet. The plug in the cabinet does not work. The extension cord for the iron does not fit to the iron's plug. Wifi very very weak. The bar at a roof terrace - the greatest attraction - was closed.

The location of the accommodation was excellent situated very close to Rome's Termini Station. The building was very elegant, with a central courtyard and bedrooms were of a good size. The building, we believe, had previously been used as a monastery and this was reflected in the names of cardinals and bishops given to individual bedrooms and communal areas.

Our bedroom was bland in colour, which possibly was a reflection on its previous use as a monastery. The breakfast in terms of quality was adequate, with a good selection of cereals, breads, pastries and cake. However the pastries were all very sweet and it would have been nice to have had a plain option. The hot food was unfortunately very cold and not enjoyable.

The hotel is lovely. I have stayed here twice before and like its clean, pleasant rooms, the proximity to Roma Termini as well as the variety of nearby restaurant choices. Breakfasts are generous, the hotel is very quiet and secure, and the facilities (e.g. guest laundry and lounge area) are very good. The hotel restaurant is also fine for dinner. Love that we can open windows and have fresh air. Beds are super comfortable.

Day staff on reception were not very friendly or welcoming (ever) - in fact, we always felt that we were interrupting them in some way and they barely looked at us. They were always polite, but never generous or enthusiastic. This is a shame as I have always encountered good manners from all staff at this hotel previously (other staff during this visit were fine). If a reception area operates on a 24 hour basis then I think staff need training in how to deal with questions and interruptions with aplomb, energy and a commitment to guest satisfaction - at every hour of the day. Nonetheless, I recommend this hotel and will myself return and hope to find a more welcoming reception area.

I recently stayed at Domus Australia in Rome and was thoroughly impressed with the accommodation. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained, providing a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The location was ideal, offering easy access to key attractions while being nestled in a peaceful area. What truly stood out was the warm and attentive service from the staff—they made every effort to ensure a pleasant stay. The on-site facilities, including the chapel and courtyard, added a unique charm, making it more than just a hotel. I highly recommend Domus Australia for anyone seeking a welcoming and comfortable place to stay in Rome. It exceeded all my expectations!

I really recommend Domus Australia. Room was quiet and clean. Beds was extra large. Cleaning staff doing their work very well! Breakfast was good and different. Especially want to thanks Ricardo for singing birthday song and kitchen chef for tasty cake for birthday. Also Svitlana was very friendly and helpful and professional.

Bacon was a little bit cheap quality. Scramble eggs taste not natural.

The hotel is very beautiful. There is a small self-service laundry room that was very useful for me. The room is very large, with a large wardrobe. The breakfast is good. It is close to two metro stations, which is very useful. The staff are polite and helpful.

I found the mattress a little hard, but that's a matter of personal taste. And the bed is a little noisy. But what bothered me most was that, for some reason, every night the shower didn't work properly. It was low on water. I don't know why this happens, as they didn't tell me anything about a possible lack of water.

Good breakfast for a short stay. The hotel's location is satisfactory (5-10 min walk from Termini). The rooms are cleaned daily. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there is an excellent pizzeria and several good fast food places.

The hotel is unusual in that it is part of an Australian Catholic university. You can often smell incense in the hallway, which is not necessarily a bad thing or a nuisance.

This is a very magnificent place to stay. I am glad to have decided to book for a night's stay here. First of all, thank you to Fabio and his amazing team at the reception who have generously given me information about the places I could visit in Rome. Secondly, I am in awe with the room I got for the relatively cheaper price I paid for. I will make sure to book this place again whenever I visit Rome for my next visits. I also liked that the place is very near the Rome Central Train Station. Yet far from the touristy locations in Europe and this has allowed to have a good relaxation and rest at night. Thirdly, as the place is the residence of the Archbishop of Australia in Rome, I also liked that it is connected to a big Catholic Church for my Sunday worship.

Here is something I wish I could some improvements. At the breakfast room, the person stationed in the buffet area became the all-around person to do the following: a) recording the guests room number; b) bringing them to the tables; c) scoop the food and the buffet items to observe COVID-19 restrictions of not allowing guests touch the ladles and come close to buffet area; d) prepare coffee. These tasks are too much for one person to handle. I hope this can still be improved.
