Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The room and bathroom were spotless, neat, and offered a stunning view of the street and Piazza della Repubblica. Breakfast was a highlight—classic options like bacon, omelets, ham, and cheese were complemented by a variety of delicious pastries and a high-quality coffee machine. The breakfast room, located on the top floor, provided a spectacular view, often accompanied by seagulls, which added a unique charm. A special touch: during our stay, it was my boyfriend’s birthday, and the hotel administration surprised us with a small bottle of prosecco and music during breakfast. It felt so festive and truly made our day! The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. Daily cleaning kept the room spotless, with fresh towels provided every day. On our arrival, we reached the hotel around noon, and to our delight, our room was ready, so we didn’t have to wait until the usual 2 PM check-in time. The location is fantastic—just a 5-minute walk from Termini station, which you can easily reach via a direct train from the airport. Major attractions and the historic city center are also within walking distance; we even walked to the Vatican without much effort. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, offering incredible value for money. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

The only minor downside was the Wi-Fi speed, which could be improved. That said, it worked well enough—and honestly, walking through the streets of Rome is far better than spending time online anyway!

The service is very nice, forthcoming and efficient. I stayed for 5 nights and they were so helpful with everything, in this unimitable Italian way, that they recognise you after seeing you only once, and treat you a bit as a befriended acquaintance. The hotel is of moderate size, in an old Italian 5-storey buidling, ca.60 rooms I think. It is overall well kept and the rooms and bathrooms are very clean., including bedding and towels. On the top floor, overlooking the roofs of Rome, is the breakfast/bar terrace. I opted for breakfasts and it was every day a very rich and qualitatively excellent selection of pastries, cakes, cheeses (Taleggio, ricotta..), hams, veggies, fruits, jams, etc... and excellent coffee. This floor is run by a "maitre de salle" - a very cheerful and professional person. Gives the place a character. Around the hotel are small shops, restos and cafes, if you want to eat out or get some water, fruits, yoghurts for your room.

The rooms are of rather moderate size, though manageable. The matrasses probably more appreciated by guests who prefer harder matrasses. It's a bit acoustic in there, room walls are thin and also the street is relatively noisy (I would recommend ear plugs for those who don't usually live in big city). I would normally write in the "minus" sections of the evaluation that the hotel is in the Roma Termini area, which does not have a great reputation. But it turned out better than expected, with many people walking even late at night, so no problem for a single female to return on foot at 11 pm....

Do not stay on the 5th floor, as the breakfast terrace is served from the 5th floor kitchen, where the prep for breakfast start at 6 am which is exceptionally noisy.

A great location, the central train station is a 5 minute walk away, excellent restaurants on the next street and a large Conad supermarket is a few minutes walk too. You can walk to all sightseeing locations if you’re fit and able. It’s a clean, quiet hotel with friendly staff. The bed was comfortable, we asked for extra blankets and were provided with them straight away. Breakfast was reasonable for the price. Kettle in room.

They need to install another hot drinks machine in the breakfast room as the queue for hot drinks was crazy! At the very least a hot water only machine for those wanting tea. The croissants were cold and stodgy. A disappointment for us as we love a croissant for breakfast when on holiday! The room layout was quite small, but overall it didn’t cause an issue.. just beware if you have lots of luggage.

Location was great, convenient short walk to Termini main station and Termini and Republic metro stations and close to a range of nice restaurants, cafes etc. Staff were great, made us feel welcome and treated us like special guests. We even got a complimentary bottle of wine as a birthday treat! Room was modernly outfitted and while compact was very comfortable and had everything we needed, including kettle, tea/coffee and fridge. Breakfast in the rooftop dining area was excellent value and a nice way to start the day. Hot water came on quickly.

From the moment we came through front door, we were greeted with a smile and a welcome by Vincenzo and Valeria. The check in was smooth and uncomplicated. Everything was in place for us. Our room was on 3rd floor, with lift access and very comfortable and cool....the room was spotless clean. Bedding and towels were sparkling white. Room was cleaned every day to very high standard. Vincent and Valeria gave us good tips to explore Rome and assisted us to get a bus tour of city. Hotel is walking distance to the Termini bus and rail links. Breakfast was served in Roof Top eating area. Continental breakfast with lovely fresh produce, fruits, and salads. Traditional cakes and coffee, everything you need to start your day. Check out was easy and uncomplicated with the assistance of Valeria and Livia. Thank you girls and thank you Vincenzo for a lovely stay. I recommend this hotel highly.

We liked it all. There was nothing we didn't like.

We were welcomed as in family, it was our first time in Italy, so the manager gave very valuable advice, he was also very friendly and had great humor. Breakfast was excellent. Our room was sufficient for two people, the most important thing is that the whole hotel was very clean and comfortable. Everything is very close, also the metro station and Termini station are a two-minute walk away, a very calm area. We advise everyone to visit this place, we have been to three other cities and hotels in this period, and THIS place is the most comfortable, the most cozy, warm and just - excellent place. If we decide to return to Rome we will definitely stay at this hotel again!!!❤️ TNX!!!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in so far. The Location is perfect. Just 5 min walk from Termini station. The staff is so nice and helpful, especially Valeria, who made sure I was comfortable there and was ready to help in any case. Breakfast was tasty. Rooms are clean. And one of the things that I liked is that there was a TV set in a room where all the Italian channels were included. I enjoyed the evening watching my favourite programmes. Overall, a great place to stay for a couple of days and even for just one. I’m so satisfied and will definitely choose the same place for my next stay!

All was exellent! Dear peoplle, you will feel very good in this hotel. You will not regret! Аt the beginning of our trip we had booked the Columbia Hotel. They welcomed us well, but the smell was disgusting. When you open the terrace, it smells bad. We left immediately. But the manager of this hotel brought us back to charge us. They took money from us for nothing. Please don't ever go to Hotel Columbia. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel "EXE Domus Aurea". It's wonderful. The breakfast in the morning is wonderful and the staff very kind always!

Great location, 5 min walk from Termini, bus stops, metro and 20 from Trevi, Villa Borghese etc. Considering that Italian breakfast is croissant and coffee, breakfast at the hotel was perfect - coffee, cacao, tea, yogurts, scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, tomatoes, small mozzarella and whole variety of sweet pastry. Nearby is Conad supermarket and many restaurants. Hotel personnel was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. There is a kettle and a small fridge in the room. Beds are comfortable. When we stayed in Rome it was 13-15 degrees C, so cannot comment air-conditioning.

Soundproofing could be better, but it was not crucial.
