I didn't have breakfast as there was many places around honest but I did have dinner in the cafe/bar almost every other night. The food was really good and for a great price. Everyone at the front desk was so pleasant and helpful. They made my 1st time staying at a hostel enjoyable. The 7 min walk from the train station was a huge bonus. I didn't take the train but the bus service from and to the airport and it saved me alot of money! I felt extremely safe staying there because you have to have your key to access the building at all times. They make sure that safety is a top priority. Also don't be discouraged by the amount of graffiti it is just art and everyone pretty much mind their own business as you are walking the streets. The beds were extremely comfortable especially from walking all day. The lockers under the bunkbeds were a great size for a carryon and they had bigger lockers on the main floor free of charge.

The rooms need some more updating to really reflect the style of the social areas for it all to flow better. Having AC in each room would definitely help especially when it's very hot.

Breakfast is a little bit overpriced imho. If you are a vegetarian your breakfast sandwich cannot be exchanged for a version without meat.

This place is a great typical European hostel with some artsy vibe, a rooftop, students and bars. I like this type of stay, you can get to know some people, have a drink and hang out. The price was great as well as the distance from the city center — 20 minutes walk to Colosseum etc. The staff was super-friendly and overall I did enjoy my stay. The neighbors I had were very polite, the room was clean and it felt safe. None of us even put a locker on our stuff. I slept very well too. However, the district itself is a real ghetto 😃 be prepared for that. I don’t suggest to go out after 8pm, there are many shady homeless people doing dr*gs. Especially in the park next to the hostel. Just be careful. They catcalled me and also some are looking like zombies. It’s not the problem of the hostel — I don’t have any complaints — it’s the problem of Rome. Just don’t go out after the sunset, mark my words. Except of that — great value 👍

Price, atmosphere, staff, people, cleanliness

The staff were so approachable and helpful. Kirby and Racel were happy to help anytime. Francis also assisted me in moving my luggages and even lent me a cart so that I can easily move around. They are good assets of the hostel. The service in general was awesome. The room was well-maintained by friendly Filipino staff. And the location was close to restaurants and shops.

The lock of the other shower room in Room 610 should be repaired so that guests do not have to wait for each other as only one shower room can be locked.

I was very satisfied with the accommodation. The location was great - close to Roma termini, just a short walk to piazza Vittorio Emanuele. The main door is locked all the time, and only visitors with a card can get in, so I felt very safe. The workers were great and helpful. The rooms/bathroom were very clean. I recommend it with all ten, I would definitely come back again. Thank you to Generator Roma.

I was a little worried in the locations where the hostel is, but as I mentioned above. Their main door system made me feel very safe once I entered the hostel. Otherwise, I can't think of anything.

Nothing really

Really satisfied with my stay here. The staff is really professional, the beds are comfortable, everything is very clean. In my room we had two bathrooms for 6 beds which was really convenient. Many socket plugs, hangers, mirrors. You can go walking to almost all sights, it is located close to Roma Termini and has a direct metro line to Vatican. There is an option of early check-in for 3 euros.

The drinks at the bar were a bit pricy for me. As a girl, I didn't really feel safe in the area close to the train station, so I would recommend avoid it at night if possible, but it's not the hostel's fault.

Situated in a beautifully renovated old building, the hostel is very clean, well designed, and spacious. Splitting the toilet from the shower is an excellent touch, and both are cleaned every day. There is no shortage of space to store luggage in your room, and the black out curtains are much appreciated. Although not located in the centre of Rome, the hostel is a 10-minute walk from the main train station (great for day trips and getting to and from the airport - even by bus), a 5-minute walk from one of the best gelateria in Rome (Gelateria Fassi), 10-miute walk from several major supermarkets, and a 15-minute walk from the Coliseum and many authentic local Italian restaurants.

If staying for an extended period of time, I would suggest that you ask the staff to change your bedding during your stay as the mattress projector can make you quite hot. Otherwise, no complaints.

What a truly delightful place! The location is simply ideal, situated right in the bustling heart of the city, making it so easy to explore everything nearby. The accommodations were spotless, and I felt completely safe throughout my stay, which was a big plus. I also loved the numerous charming cafes just a stone's throw away, perfect for grabbing a coffee or a quick bite to eat. The owner was exceptionally kind and went out of their way to help with anything I needed. Plus, the breakfast served here was delicious and gave me the perfect start to my day. I can’t recommend this spot highly enough for anyone looking for a memorable stay!

Nothing Honestly, I can’t say there was anything I didn’t like! Every aspect of my experience was fantastic, from the cozy accommodations to the welcoming and attentive service. I had an incredible time and can’t think of a single thing that could have improved my stay. It was truly the perfect getaway!

Very clean, friendly team at the reception, amazing rooftop where you can have breakfast (if you order one) or a drink in the evening. Lockers are available under the bed (no padlock provided). I met amazing people at the hostel. I read reviews that the location looks a bit unsafe. I came back to the hostel multiple times at midnight and had no issues. During the day, it is super safe. During the night (until 11 pm) it is also safe. After that, you have to be smart. It is a big city, and the location is near the central station.

No towel provided. Considering the price per night, I think the hostel could afford to provide a towel. 🙂 Breakfast is super basic. Probably, having breakfast at a nearby coffee place is a better idea.
