We absolutely loved our stay at Horti. The hotel itself is a little haven, the rooms were incredibly comfortable, clean, and light. The staff were really helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and it was lovely to be able to sit on the roof terrace. It’s only a short work to Trastevere too and a good location (20-30 minute walk) to the Vatican - excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

This is a hotel unique for Rome in many respects, but especially notable for its exceptional modern architecture nesting comfortably in an an historic and luxuriantly green and quiet setting, though only ten minutes by foot from the bustle of Trastevere. One feels cocooned in a kind of utopia here. The staff, too stands out for friendliness and helpfulness.

I don't want to criticize anything in such a wonderful place! However, if II were forced to quibble, I might say that I didn't love some of the breakfast choices (i.e. the yogurt, the juices, some of the bread products weren't the absolute best, though none were poor).

The Hotel is fantastic. It was my second time here and I liked it even more. Excellent location. Attentive and kind staff made my experience wonderful. Beautiful and super comfortable room!!! I loved the tips, i went to Vanda, Taverna Trilussa and the Ma Che Siete Venuti A Fà brewery. I will definitely stay here again.

Lovely staff, atmosphere and room. Had an amazing time here and everyone was so welcoming. The evening bar in particular had some great drinks and was hosted by the loveliest person. Thank you again Horti!

Walls were a little thin - could hear neighbours quite clearly. And we needed a tray/shelf in the shower!

Lovely boutique hotel in a quiet part of Trastevere, friendly and helpful staff, great setting and excellent breakfast. Parking was a bonus.

The room was very hot at night and we were told A/C was not available. would need it in the Summer.

We stayed for one night only. Trastevere is our favorite part of Rome, and the location of this Hotel was more than ideal. The small garden with banana trees was beautiful, and a cute turtle passing by in front of our door was a very nice surprise. In the late evening it was very nice to have our tea in the garden's patio. The room was modern and comfortable. The personnel was very nice. The breakfast was tasty and nicely-served on the roof terrace. Highly recommend for those who looks for a modern nature-welcome hotel in Trastevere.

Everything about this hotel is absolutely exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly, and were more than happy to help with anything we needed. They have a lengthy Google Doc full of restaurant recommendations, which they shared with us upon arrival. The hotel feels tucked away in a quiet area of Rome, and all the lush greenery in the courtyard and around the rooms is really lovely. Breakfast is phenomenal, truly great. The cat who lives at the hotel is so cute too! I have never reviewed a hotel in my life but since the first night, my mum and I could not stop raving about it. I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know who is visiting Rome, and will absolutely stay here if I visit Rome again. Do not bother looking anywhere else - this hotel is so extremely wonderful, and also excellent value for money.

Nothing - everything exceeded my expectations. Initially there wasn't a kettle in the room, but the staff brought a kettle and mugs straight to our room. Absolutely fantastic.

We arrived very late, at about 11 pm, due to a flight delay, but we received a warm welcome from the very friendly staff. Our room was in a garden, and was very peaceful. At the back of the garden were trees in the Gianicolo public park, so it was all very quiet and relaxing - a big bonus in noisy Rome. It felt like countryside in a busy city - "rus in urbe", as the ancient Romans used to say! The room itself was top quality: luxurious shower-room and very comfortable beds. There was a step between the bed area and the shower area, so be careful when stepping from one to the other in the dark. The breakfast was predictably delicious, and the staff helpful and attentive. The breakfast room also overlooked the garden and trees in the park. Buses were a short walk away, on the main road along the river (lungotevere), but we walked across one of the bridges over the river into the historic city centre. In the afternoon we had to get a taxi to the next place we were staying (a rental flat in Prati), and the staff were very helpful in phoning for a taxi for us, and giving us information about travel in Rome. Although we travelled in November, the hotel appeared to be fairly full (judging by the numbers in the breakfast room), so book early for this one!

It is hard to think of any improvement to this perfect place (can't wait to go back!) but one thing we would have liked is a kettle to make tea. The staff brought us tea, for which we were most grateful after a stressful journey and late arrival, but Italians (like all other nationalities, including Americans) do not really drink tea, and bring a pot of hot water with a teabag alongside. Tea should be made by pouring boiling (not just hot) water onto the tea. Only English and Irish people (Maureen is both!) make proper tea, but we do like a real well-brewed cup when exhausted by travelling.

Great location, close to the action in Trastevere & the botanicals in the hotel were amazing! The staff were super helpful and friendly.

They closed the upstairs outside area for private events both nights we were there. One of the main reasons we booked here was the fact it had an outside seating space after a long day walking around Rome. To come back after walking for miles in the sun all day and be told we couldn’t sit there and have a drink wasn’t good enough. They had a small area downstairs with a few deckchairs but it’s not good.
