Authentic, fabulous location for sightseeing.

The vibe and mood of the place was wonderful, it brought the visitors back into the past, and very close to other ancient sites as well. The room and the bathroom was clean, the bed was comfortable.

The inner yard could have been really quiet, but some guests arrived always after 1-2 am and they were very loud. We found the main door and the door of our building (II) open most of the time, so we didn't feel 100% safe. (It shouldn't depend on other careless guests..) As the room was small and we didn't have a table, some covering blanket could have been useful so that we don't put our things and objects on the blanket.

This was a great hotel room! We stayed in the Presidential Suite and they weren't kidding abut that. It was huge with a spiral staircase to the bedroom. Just beautiful and nicely appointed. The front desk was wonderful and very helpful. Neighborhood was great with plenty of nearby cafes and restaurants. Circus Maximus across the street and a short walk to the Coliseum and many Rome attractions. We ended up never even using transportation and just walking everywhere. I don't know the history of the building but it was quite beautiful and a unique experience. Hope to be back!

Amazing hotel in medieval style close to the Colosseum and Circo Romano. The building is gorgeous, beautifully decorated and keeping the style and charm of the old Monastery. Rooms are big enough and comfortable with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Comfortable beds and clean bathroom with all necessities. Situated close to Circo Romano, it's a walk away of the heart of the city and the main attractions. There are coffee, tea and cookies waiting for you in the room. A quiet place in the noisy and hectic Rome. Ladies and gents at the reception were very kind and responsive and always smiling :) The room was cleaned every day and all was fresh and pleasant to use. We had a great stay at the hotel and definitely will visit again. Grazie mille per tutto e ci vediamo presto! Saluti da Bulgaria!

Great location, hard to beat being right at the steps of Circo Massimo, and at the same time not affected by the hustle around the Colosseum or Fountains in the center. All the main sights are 10-20 minutes away. Or you can have a stroll along Tevere. There are some buses, but I like to walk around Rome, not to pass by in the bus. The room is fine, everything you generally need, good AC, fridge, soft towels, comfy bed, spacious bathroom, kettle and espresso machine, some snacks and water. The building itself is marvelous. We didn't have time to relax in the courtyard, but the interior and exterior of the building looks great. There's no restaurant in the building, but there are several reasonable options right next door, and hey, you are in Rome, there are hundreds of great places to eat.

Not the hotel's fault at all. Just beware that August is a vacation season in Italy. A lot of places will be closed without prior notice (mainly restaurants, but not the museums), you should expect that. It's a bit quieter overall on the other hand.

The hotel is in the site of and old monastery just on the bottom of the Palatine hill. You can actuallu see the backyard of the ruins from your room. The rooms are a bit small, but very comfortable and the enviroment is really quiet. The only noise you will hear comes from the birds that live in the woods on the hill and an ocasional ambulance down the Circus Maximus (there's a dedicated route to the hospital in the nearby Tiberine Island). The location is very close to major atractions such as the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, The Theater of Marcellus and the Vittorio Emanuele monument. The nearest supermarkets are a bit far away (something like 1,5 km or close to a mile), but there are some cafés nearby and a fairly reasonable number of restaurants in the area. By far, the greatest asset the hotel has is the staff. They're incredibly friendly and dedicated. Naomi in particular was a life safer. We were in Rome in route to Bologna during the recent floods in Emilia-Romagna (may 2023) and our train was cancelled. She helped us to reach the hotel and cancel our stay there (not to mention convince them to refund us, eventhough they initially said they wouldn't). She also helped to arrange transportation to a new destination and to get in touch with the train company. In shorte, if not for her, we would probably have lost time and lots of money.

Sometimes we wished there was breakfast on the hotel itself, but this is really not an issue given the cafés nearby.

I love the outdoor monastery area and the location is just a few minutes from the colosseo (but do note the monastery is up on a slope). The staff was super friendly and very helpful with suggestions! The room is quite small but bright and clean, and the bathrooms are very clean!

No lifts so bring light luggage. I thought the landing got quite dark at night, and as a solo female traveller it can get a little scary. Location makes it harder for taxi pickup in bad weather.

This is the place to stay in Rome. It is a truly hidden gem. Room exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to Colosseum, Roman Forum, Malta Keyhole, Capitoline Museum, Trastevere. Special THANKS to Naomi as she went the extra mile and made our staying unforgettable. She found out that was my birthday, decorated our room and left a bottle of good wine and some gifts. We love everything of this place and can’t wait to stay there every time we are back in Rome.

Fantastic location for the Colosseum and Roman Forum, good restaurants just next door, a couple of bars and a really nice sandwich/coffee shop just past the traffic lights. Beds are comfortable, the building is magnificent, really very cool and quiet. Water in the minibar, small selection of toiletries. We arrived late and the chap on reception booked us a table at 10pm in the restaurant two doors down, which was very good and well priced. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, we had a wonderful short break. We hired Lime scooters to go into town, could have walked in 10-15 minutes though.

If being picky, the rooms will need a reverb soon, a very minor point though, you don’t go to Rome to stay in the hotel room!
