This was our third time staying at Leon's place. The first time was at the suggestion of a travel advisor we used. The next two times were because we liked the facility, and we liked the location. Breakfasts at the hotel were excellent. The staff is great, the rooms are fine. Rome is big, so it's not easy to walk everywhere, although we did walk from the Spanish Steps to our hotel. We took a Hop On/Hop Off bus there. There are other places that are an easy walk also. Just for some other ideas near Leon's Place. There's a great ice cream shop across the street, a great coffee shop, Le Levain on Piave, and a really good restaurant, Al Forno della Soffitta, also on Piave, just a little further down the street. Down Venti Settembre, there is a church, Santa Maria della Vittoria, which houses Bellini's famous sculpture, The Ectasy of Saint Teresa. I knew of it before traveling to Rome for the first time. To find that church accidentally on a leisure walk was pretty unbelievable, knowing that the statue was inside. The statue, of course, is well worth the trip to the church. Some advice, the church has limited hours. Would we stay at Leon's Place a fourth time if we traveled to Rome again? Yes, we would.

I don't like rain shower heads. That's what our room had. Not a major issue for most people. It was for me. I would still stay there.

Good location, close to historical sites, walking distance. Staff are polite and very helpful, especially lady in reception Daniela. We didn't have breakfast included, so went only twice, as my child ate only two pancakes. It was cheaper to eat out, there are many nice places on the street going toward the metro station. We tried dinner in there as well, fresh pasta which my son loved. Room was spacious and comfortable. Spa was a very nice treat after all day walking. Power bank rent for free is a bonus too.

Overwhelmed by how nice this hotel was. I didn't pay a hefty luxury price tag so had minimal expectations but this was the best hotel I stayed in in Rome. The room was spotless clean and clearly well decorated. Bathroom was superb with nice extras. Service was top notch. The reception gives you free pocket wifi and a charger for the day which is great. Other positives: - went to the gym which has running machines and dumbells (max 10 kg and no bench) but enough for one night - went to the spa/jacuzzi which you need to book at reception but which is a nice extra - excellent & quiet aircon in the room - full amenities provided including bathrobe, slippers, and you can call reception for anything else you need and they arrived in less than 5 min

What an amazing place! The decor is amazing and looks fabulous. The rooms are clean and cleaned daily. The spa you can book for 1 hour per day for private use which is fantastic and just what we needed after a busy day exploring! The staff Matilde and Daniela were amazing and so helpful. They helped us with booking trips, answering straight away to questions we had via the hotels whatsapp group and really cared about us. There was a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us in our room since we were staying for my birthday which was so kind! The hotel is handy for bars, restaurants and a short walk to Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain. The nearest metro is around 10/15 minutes away which is also so easy to use. What an amazing stay and we are over the moon with everything. To top it off I proposed to my girlfriend during our stay and she said YES!!

Nothing at all!

Breakfast room service is really good and it worth it. Clean. Good location.

The times I scheduled breakfast room service, the staff brought to me in the morning asking me to pay in cash with excuses that the card machine wasn’t working. They insisted on paying in cash, even though I informed my credit card details in my check in. When I asked the front desk if I should pay in cash they said it wasn’t necessary, but the staff bringing my breakfast insisted on charging me in cash. Just weird. I didn’t pay in cash and paid everything in the end

Really nicely styled, big bedrooms, nice to have the use of the spa and gym, great location - easy to walk to all sights and within walking distance of nice cafes and bars but quiet location. Staff were very helpful and couldn’t do more to help when problems arose.

The first room we were allocated was uncomfortably warm, when we raised this with staff, initially the solution was to turn the heat off which they did for us and gave us a fan. However this didn’t make much difference. The next morning, the helpful staff explained that they were not able to do any more as the hotel heating was all on either winter or summer mode therefore the AC was not on. Thankfully we were able to be moved to a lower floor and a cooler room but it was disappointing that there was no way of controlling the heat in individual rooms.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a stunning hotel and the spa was a brilliant addition to escape the rainy mornings and was a great chance to relax on our city break. The room was also done to a high standard and the cleaners/housekeeping did a brilliant job of keeping our room fresh and stocked up with coffee and turned down for bed time without disrupting any of our stay. The reception staff were also extremely helpful and friendly and we felt truly welcomed into this hotel.

Whilst the room was lovely, the air conditioning wasn’t great so our room was slightly too warm for us but thankfully the big window meant we could get the room cooled down fairly easily. We had breakfast in the hotel on our last day and whilst it was nice, it felt slightly expensive for what it was.

The decor, the staff, the general feel of the hotel was absolutely great. Miles better than the previous hotel I stayed at just 5 mins walk away, worth the extra cost. Location and vibe along with the decent comfort of the room, which also had its own terrace, makes this a must visit in central Rome. I'd definitely come back here

Not much I didn't like- perhaps the AC wasn't as effective as it should be but nothing too bad. Still slept comfortably enough

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The check in process was the fastest, and I was so grateful for that because I was extremely tired. There was a complimentary bottle of water, which was indeed needed after a long travel. The room was clean and nice with a simple modern, yet authentic design. I was obsessed with the floor tiles inside the room!! I also liked that the closets had full mirror giving more space to the place and the small detail written in the soap and shampoo bottles. It’s always nice to care about the environment and to remind others. The bathroom space was large and convenient, and it had a small window that could be open, and that was perfect. Also, the bathroom had large mirror at the sink and another full one. The bath rope was clean and covered with plastic case. I would definitely stay here again!

The gym space was so minimal. It could use more equipment and more space.

Friendly, helpful staff in a lovely, well-presented hotel! The room and general areas were spotless and stylish. Our breakfasts were included and were really very good indeed - a whole honeycomb to sample was a great addition. Everyone we encountered couldn't have been more helpful.

There was very little to dislike - local amenities were good with great local trattorias and gelaterias. The only tiny issue is that it is quite far from the main attractions so involved a lot of walking. Having the terrace bar open would also have been nice, but these are very minor issues.
