I don't understand why this place has such low rating. It is such a "by the book" hotel with literally all the essentials, not to mention the location is fantastic, it is downtown Rome! 24h check in, not some dodgy bnb type of check-in. Everything is spotlessly clean. I came here because I had to leave my previous booking due to some horrific check-in experiences and I didn't have a choice really, it was the only one available to be booked on the same day. But now I think I would come back to this place for this price any time I am back to Rome. Good, clean, basic, reliable, close to center. I even had a mini fridge in the room.

The room was small, but that didn't bother me much. Housekeeping locked my room twice so I had to go back down to reception so they can open the room, which was a bit annoying. But again, it's a minor thing.

Amazing location. Transportation from the airport? Shuttle buses going to both Fiumicino and Ciampino stop right in front of the hotel. Want to see highlights in a short time? Hop on hop off buses leave right in front of the hotel. Are you going to another city? Termini central station is just across the road. Are you traveling on a low budget? Here's a comfortable hotel option for the price of a hostel. There is a breakfast option at the hotel, but I did not use it. Because there are many places to have breakfast around. Even after midnight, there are places where you can eat like burgers, pizza, etc. Termini and its surroundings seemed scarier when I arrived a few years ago. But this last time I went I felt safer. Finally the staff was really nice. The lady who left her breakfast unfinished and sent me off, I will not forget you.

There really wasn't anything I could say was bad.

Location was great, walked from the train station, took 5-10 minutes. Hotel was what we expected. No concerns at all with check-in, air conditioning worked, elevator worked, staff were helpful. Awesome restaurant right next door. Delicious pasta and pizza.

The double bed was 2 singles pushed together, so they moved apart at night. Annoying but not the biggest deal.

The room was comfortable and clean. The interactions we had with staff were ok. The hotel is situated opposite the bus stop for drop off from the airport and the hop-on-hop-off buses, and a very short walk from Termini station. There are several reasonably priced cafes and restaurants located nearby, and many places of interest are only a short walk from the hotel. When we return to Rome we will try to book here again.

Nothing. We got what we paid for and expected.

Great value for money and great location for all sight seeing areas. The bus stop (sit bus shuttle) to and from the airports (both Ciampino and Fiumcino) is right in front of the hotel. The largest number of sights can be reached on foot from 1 min (Baths of Diocletian) to 50 min (Vatican). I stayed in a single room for 7 days (30/12 - 06/01). During the entire time the hotel was quiet, the room was cleaned every day, and the stuff was very friendly. The room had a refrigerator and TV, comfortable and spacious bathroom was equipped with all necessities. The bed in the room was large enough (almost double) and equipped with two pillows and two blankets. Even at the beginning of January, it made possible to sleep at night with the window open without using additional heating. For picky travelers who are used to sleeping with the window open, but have a sensitive sleep, I recommend taking earplugs with them, because when the window is open, there is a sound from the street that resembles the sound of a powerful air conditioner. This applies only to a single rooms (as explained to me), the window of which overlook the inner courtyard equipped with technical facilities. I don’t consider this point as a disadvantage, because the earplugs completely solved the issue of quiet sleep with the window open, and with the window closed, the noise was totally absent))

Everything is good!Everyone are sooooo kind! Service is niceee!!!So hard to find a suitable room in Rome as a student,so I stayed here for my transition, even though the room is a little bit small but it has everything that I needed,it’s actually not small for a single person:)And I felt so safe and I never heard any noisy sound at night,(so don’t be afraid to live around Termini) and so happy to live here:)

The location of the hotel is excellent and you can easily reach all parts of Rome. I arrived at 9 am and they delivered my baggage and welcomed me with kindness. Everything was perfect during my stay at the hotel, only about the delivery time of my room, I waited for about an hour and a half, the room was delivered at 3:30 in the evening.

The location is by far the best. No matter where you were in Rome, as soon as you saw the Metro sign, you knew you would be at the hotel very soon. We had two rooms, my mother had a single room overlooking the back. Every time I went to her room, it was quiet, cool and clean.

Our first room had no AC but did have a fan. They moved us after the first day to a room that the AC kind of worked. But, they also gave us the fan. Since Rome in summer is hot, the windows were always open. The room faced the street, so it was always loud, even on the fifth floor. Throughout the night, something was always happening in the Termini. Also, when I booked, it said free breakfast, but when we went to it the first morning they said we did not book it. Nevertheless, I was glad, since the coffee was the worst I had in the entire world.

Paul from the Front Desk [including Staff ] , But Paul did an excellent job to help our stay be exceptional: from being very friendly & knows most of the guests & their room numbers, accommodated our hotel needs, Speaks English-helped in translation, gave great references for restaurants & places to see. Key Tourist sites are walkable from hotel. The location was always easy to tell taxis/buses where the Termini station was. Hotel Stromboli is Very Accessable to restaurants, across the from Termini Train Station which also includes 2 grocery stores, shopping (including SIM Cards for all of Europe- Iliad cheapest), Buffet breakfast for an extra fee should be checked out. Hotel sells cold bottled water. Hotel is Very Safe. Loved our Stay &Thanks Paul. 4.9/5

there is no water in the room or kettle to boil the water ((I have throat aches and had to go cafe to drink tea, also the room is small , but for solo traveler is ok, and if you want to boil your water you cannot as there is no kitchen open after breakfast
