Very central, less than 5 minutes walk from the main train station. Easy to walk to lots of the interesting landmarks or to take public transport.

There was no lift to get to the room on the 3rd floor.

The communication was excellent. Beds were comfortable. Air con was great for the warmer nights and the mini fridge and coffee machine were a great addition to the room. Room was a good size for three people. I was nervous after seeing comments about small showers but the shower was great! For the price we paid, the facilities were great and the location was perfect for wandering to most of the sights in Rome. Would definitely stay here again!

Our only comment was that it would be good to provide a kettle for tea drinkers however this was easily solved by knowing in advance that this wasn’t provided so we just brought our own! No complaints really.

The room was in a very nice area of Rome, within walking distance to everything. We even walked to Vatican City, which took us 50 minutes because the city is just so pretty. There is a metro station, Termini, just 3 minutes away if you don't like to walk much. 😊 There is a nice restaurant downstairs at the corner of the street, but mostly we walked until we found a small hidden restaurant with a good vibe and culinary enjoyment. The owners were amazing and super helpful, recommending restaurants and offering advice whenever we needed it. We would go back anytime!

Great location - a short walk from the train station and excellent restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff provided detailed sightseeing information and recommendations for restaurant and cafes. Spot on!

The Bluehostel is on the third floor with winding staircases and no elevator. The manager helped us carry our luggage to our room, and the owner carried our suitcases down for us. We are seniors, and since Rome was our final stop on a six week trip, we had large and fairly heavy bags! We were beyond grateful for their help. The next time we’re in Rome we’ll be traveling with carryon bags and would stay at Bluehostel again without hesitation!

The room was spotless clean and nicely furnished, the bed was extremely comfy. Everything was modern and functional. The location is amazing, if you like to walk a bit everything is at a reasonable walking distance. Alessandro is the perfect host. He even left a bottle of champagne in the fridge to celebrate my birthday. Exceeded our expectations ! I spent a perfect birthday in Rome, thank you !!!

The only minor inconvenient is the three floors without elevator. We didn’t really bother but I wouldn’t recommend for people with mobility issues.

The location of the hotel is great if you come by train or airplane (the train from FCO also stops at the train station). You have to walk 10min from the station, which is enough to get out of the train station area. The tube is not far to get around Rome and a nice breakfast bakery is around not far away. The room is nice and quiet. Only if the people in the hostel are making noise you hear it. The room is nicely furnished and has a coffee machine.

N/A - just if you do not like to climb stairs it is probably not your hostel. We would come again if we travel to Rome again.

This was just a fantastic spot and the room felt so comfortable and really nice looking. Loved the wooden beams on the ceiling. Rustic, but contemporary feeling even for a place that used to be a hostel. I felt safe and location was not too far from a lot of things. The service was awesome and so friendly. This was a gem of a hotel with a great price point and would definitely stay again!

The Wi-Fi didn’t work really great while I was there. There is no elevator so just make sure you can carry your luggage up the stairs. I got help from the staff when I arrived and he carried my large bag up. Besides that, everything was wonderful!

We stayed in the Trapeze Suite (one bed apartment) during August. The apartment is beautifully furnished and the attention to decor is very stylish. Also importantly the air-conditioning was excellent. As a family of four our children used the sofa bed which was great and having the extra living space was perfect for us. It was very spacious, extremely comfortable, and beautifully clean. The location of the apartment is amazing. It is close to the station which was great for us as we travelled by train and within very easy walking distance of the Colosseum. In fact we walked everywhere from the apartment. The hosts are extremely helpful and gave us amazing tips and recommendations for places to eat out which we really appreciated. Thank you so much! We would 100% recommend the Blue Hostel if visiting Rome and would definitely stay here again if we return. I only wished we could have stayed longer as I loved it so much.

There was nothing we did not like about this apartment. It is beautiful.

Very helpful, informative and approachable staff. Comfortable, clean room, nicely decorated, with coffee/tea making facilities and fridge. Lovely shower, good pressure and supply of hot water at all times. Good location, easy to find. Accommodated our 3 generations' family stay of 4 nights with ease. Would stay again if ever back in Rome and would highly recommend :)

Two flights of stairs a little exhausting after busy sightseeing days in Rome, but worth the effort!

I took my mom to Rome for her birthday, we couldn't have had a better trip and our stay at Blue Hostel was a significant part of our enjoyment! We were greeted warmly by the owner, who gave us many tips on where to eat like the locals do, which was invaluable as it's easy to end up in tourist traps in Rome! The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had original features, adding a lot of charm to the few moments we spent indoors. The location was perfect, close to the train station, multiple bus stops and the metro, but also within walking distance of big attractions. We had struggled to make a reservation at this one restaurant we wanted to go to, and Ercole and Alessandro were so kind to help out and book a table for us. Great service, great room, great stay – I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Rome

The only improvement I can think of is adding a silicon strip to the glass shower door, as the water tends to leak onto the ground which can make it a bit messy. Should be an easy fix to provide just a bit more peace of mind while showering, less to worry about!
